Chapter 99: "Eliminate them"

Risa lay on her bed laughing in pleasure, she was finally getting a hold of things around here and soon, she would have a very strong hold on Oberon and then take over the pack.

Remembering that Dora would not give in to her request, made her smile disappear.

"That stupid rogue," she rolled her eyes, "If possible, she is going to die there, because it seems she is not going to give into my request anytime soon," she shook her head in disappointment.

Oberon came into the room and found her on the bed, her face was not in a good mood.

"Nyx, what is the matter?" He came closer and wrapped his arms around her.

She feigned annoyance, "I just want to be alone, please, I need some time to myself," she rolled her eyes.

He creased her brows, "Talk to me, is something wrong?"

Her insides was bubbling with excitement. She had always dreamed of being in his arms and him taking care of her so sweetly.

"It is.. ugh, nevermind, there is nothing you can do about it," she pouted and looked away.

"What makes you think so? I am always here for you," he cooed sweetly.

She blushed a little, "Uh.. no, I do not want to disturb you," she folded her arms.

"No, it is fine, just tell me what is, I promise to get it done for you," he gently caressed her arm.

"Anything? Are you sure about that?" She pouted.

He nodded, "I promise," he smiled.

She smiled, "Okay, if you say so, I have a request," she smiled coyly.

"And what could that be?"

She blinked, "There is someone, well, they are actually two, so they are bothering me and I do not want them around," she said firmly.

"So?"

"Get rid of them."

He arched his brows in surprise, "Wait.. are you being real?"

She pouted seductively and nodded, "I am being serious too, I do not want them around, please get rid of them."

"Nyx.. this is not like you," he said a little bit more surprised, the Nyx he knew would never think of eliminating a fly let alone werewolves.

She frowned, ’Ugh! Why does she have to be so extremely good? Now what am I going to do now?’

She darted her eyes for a while and suddenly began to cry.

"I knew it! You have always hated me, you never loved me!"

He was a bit shaken, "That is not true," he held her closer to himself, "Oh, come on, since when did you start being dramatic?"

Her insides clinked, she being dramatic? ’What is with him? Nyx does not even throw tantrums? Ugh!’

"I am being dramatic now? Fine!" She stood up and left him sitting there and went to stand by the window.

He sighed and walked up to her, "Okay, I.. am sorry, just tell me who you want to get rid of then," he said calmly.

She smiled and faced him, "Oh, Oberon," she fell on him and began to kiss him passionately.

He suddenly felt off, for a reason, her lips and taste felt different and that desire that came with kissing her had disappeared.

He pulled away, surprise clearly written on his face.

Risa frowned, "What is the matter?"

He blinked, "You.. taste different, why?"

She rolled her eyes, holding her head in frustration, "What is with you all of a sudden?" She asked him with her eyes squinted.

"I know this question is odd, but you really do taste different, why? As if.. you are someone else.." he said the last part quietly.

Her heart skipped, how was he noticing all this? ’I hope I do not get exposed, why would he be this observant?’

She shook her head, "I am Nyx, is there any other you know of?"

He twisted his lips trying to remember but his head was blank.

"Or, you have being seeing someone else?" Her eyes dropped.

He frowned and slowly shook his head, "Just tell me who you want to get rid of," he said.

She sighed, "I do not like the way this is going," she muttered in disappointment.

"Well... Are you not going to give your guards the order? That is all I want," she played with her fingers, her gaze down.

He agreed,"That is not a problem then," he straightened his face and walked out of the room.

She walked back to the bed and dropped in disappointment.

"How am I supposed to behave exactly like Nyx?" She creased her brows.

She thought about it for a long while and suddenly remembered Nyx’s first maids.

"Yes, those two! They could help me," she smirked, "I have to get my plan in action," she grinned evily, "This feels so good," she cackled.

Oberon came in a few minutes later, some of the guards with him.

"I have given them my order, here they are. You can show them whoever is bothering you and they will do their job."

She sat up and looked at them, these were not part of her band of guards. She frowned and rolled her eyes, "Oh my goodness," she muttered in frustration.

She just faked a smile, "Thank you so much, I really appreciate them," she tried laughing.

He felt pleased, "That is not a problem then," he chuckled, "I have to leave and attend to something really important, I will be back soon."

As soon as she was gone, she got down from the bed quickly and went over to them, "Do not worry, I will not need you," she said with irritation.

"But my lady, we can not just leave without doing what the king has asked us to do," the first guard said.

"I just said, I will not need you, go away, and besides, if he wanted to ask for some reports, he would come to me and not you."

They tried protesting but she was stronger than them, "Leave, I will not need you at all," she said firmly.

Feeling defeated, they left.

She left her room and quickly went to the guards’ quarters. She knew who they were so it was not hard whisking them out.

"I have a very important job for you. I want you to eliminate both Nyx’s son and her.. whoever she is to her."

The guards exchanged puzzled glances, "But why?"

"Are you asking me questions now?"

"No my lady," they bowed.

"Very good, eliminate them, they are a threat, who knows if they would escape that basement?"

"That is not possible my lady, that place is so closed in, there was no way they could get out," Aldof chipped in.

She eyed him angrily, "That Dora, is smart, so smart, she is way smarter than you dumb head," she fired at him.

"But my la.."

"Just shut up! You must do what I say, go and finish them! Is that too much to ask?"

"No, my lady," he bowed his head.

"Very good, now, go and do what I have asked you to do, there should be no wasting of time, be quick about it, I want them to be out of this palace and way under the ground."

They all chorused, "Yes, my lady," they bowed and left her standing there.

She smirked, "No one should know who I am, I am Nyx, and it remains that way," she straightened her face, slowly an evil grin appeared there.

The guards under the leadership of Aldof, went to the basement.

"Would a stake not be better than stabbing?" One of them said.

"We do not have a metal stake around here and there is no way they would die on a wooden stake."

"Are we to kill the pup too?"

"She had said to eliminate both of them, no more questions!" He barked.

They all continued their walk to the basement. Aldof in particular was very pissed off.

"She is not even lady Nyx and she bosses us around, hmph!" He clenched his fists.

"Why do we not stand up to her? It is not like she is the one who birthed the Alpha’s heir," Joseph chipped in.

Something suddenly clicked in Aldof’s head, "Wait.. that pup, he is actually the Alpha’s heir, and she wants us to eliminate him?" He stopped in his tracks.

They all stopped and thought it through, "Wait, that is actually true! She would put us in trouble if we touched his heir."

"Do not tell me you are about to take that risk Aldof."

He blinked, if he did not kill them, he would get into trouble with Risa but if he did kill them, the Alpha’s wrath would finish them completely.

He took slow steps to the basement, still pondering on what to do.

They soon arrived there and they unlocked the door and pushed it open.

Dora and Archi sat on the floor in a daze.

Aldof’s eyes fell on Archi who was shaken and scared.

He closed his eyes and exhaled, took out his dagger and set it before them.

"I have no choice."
