The Alpha: Claiming His Enemy's Daughter
Chapter 878: DEMAND FROM THE ELDERS

Chapter 878: DEMAND FROM THE ELDERS

Docilely, Iris drank her milk, but it didn’t mean she would drop the topic. She still fixed on talking about this.

"But, what are you going to do? They will not allow Abby to use her power because she is currently pregnant." From what Iris learned, the protection around her was very tight, even a fly couldn’t go through the knights.

Outsider might see it as the Elders cared about her, but in truth, they were trying to isolate her.

Actually, not only Iris, Abby had been staying inside her tent without taking a step out for the last week and information about her was very limited even though they were only a few tents away.

"You are also pregnant." Cane made bed for Iris and helped her to lay down comfortably.

"But, they don’t know about this." Iris stretched her body and pulled Cane to lay down next to her. She missed this conversation with him.

"They didn’t need to know." Cane snuggled with Iris, while her mate was moving around to find a comfortable spot in his arms.

"What about the shield? I am sure I can take it down..." Iris contemplated it.

"No."

"After I get better, I think I can take it down." Iris corrected herself, but still, Cane didn’t agree with that.

"You are not going to do anything, Iris." Cane played with her hair, which made her sleepy. "Just sit back. I can handle this."

"How?" Iris looked up. She liked his side profile and wished their babies would take after him. "Did you already have a plan?"

"I have."

Iris’s curiosity was piqued. "What is it?" Cane opened his mouth to answer that, but then he clamped it again, teasing her. "Cane!"

"I will tell you if you ate properly tomorrow." Cane made a bargain.

"I ate, but the food tasted so bland." Her tastebuds didn’t give her joy when she ate food, they tasted funny.

"Is there something you want to eat?" Cane asked, caressing her neck absentmindedly.

"No. I don’t think any food that I ate will taste good. I only need to wait until I fully recovered." Iris pursed her lips. "You tried to change the subject. So, what is your plan?"

Cane smirked. "Come here." He beckoned her with his finger to give him her ear, though no one would listen to them, since they were alone in the tent, but still Iris came closer to him without even thinking twice.

However, when she was close enough, the only answer she got was Cane telling her to sleep and then nibble on her earlobe.

"Cane!" Iris protested.

Later at night, Cane opened his eyes when he felt Iris was already fallen asleep and carefully released her body. He tucked her in before he walked out of the tent.

"No one take a step away from the tent," Cane said to Zephyr.

"Yes, alpha," Zephyr replied and there were around twenty warriors that guarded the tent. Not only Abby, who got a tight security, but Iris was the same.

After that, Cane went to retrieve the lizard and write a letter for Lou. He told the merchant to return and the letter found him just fine, because half an hour later, Cane could see a portal that appeared beside him.

"What now?! I am not your dog that could be called here and there as you pleased!" Despite that was what he said, but he always came whenever he was being called.

"Let’s go to Chyrstal Moon pack." Cane was waiting for Lou near their campsite, so it wouldn’t attract attention from the warriors and the knights, especially the magic users from Holy Kingdom. They didn’t need them to stick their nose in their business.

"What do you think I am? A horse that could take you anywhere do you want?!" Lou was fuming. "I am very busy. Unless you tell me your plan, I am not going to take you anywhere!" He couldn’t imagine those people, who worked for Cane.

Most of them completely blind about the whole plan and only knew how to finish the task that was given to them. This was ridiculous. This was not how Lou worked! Even Ethan, the gamma was clueless about a certain matter and he was fine with that because he had gotten used with the alpha’s method.

"Iris is sick, she can’t eat and she wanted Golden Seed fruit," Cane replied curtly. His explanation was very concise.

Grumbling and cursing and even protesting, Lou created a portal and together, they went to Chrystal Moon pack.

But things didn’t look good there. The Blue Moon warriors were rebelling against Redmond. They refused to go to war in order to help Cane. They didn’t want to help the alpha, who had enslaved them. Why would they?

"Can’t you handle it?" Cane asked Redmond. They met at a tavern, while Lou looked for the Golden Seed fruit, Redmond heard that Cane was coming, thus he met with him here.

The alpha put the hoodie of his cloak over his head to cover his face. Even without seeing him, people would know he was someone with status judging by the aura that he gave off.

"I can. I killed two of them, who tried to provoke the other. Things calm down a little bit. I can drag them to the battlefield. But, with how fickle they are I can’t guarantee they wouldn’t be a problem later." Redmond crossed his arms in front of his chest. He liked to be here, because there were people, who were waiting for him at home when returned.

"What they wanted?"

"They didn’t want to pledge their loyalty to you." Redmond could understand that, because he himself didn’t pledge to Cane.

Cane nodded. "Then, let them pledged their loyalty to Iris."

"Are you sure?" Redmond was surprised.

"Didn’t you pledge to Iris too?"

"There are around five thousand of them!"

"Good." Cane nodded. "Iris will need her own force." She needed it more than ever now.
