Chapter 602: THE NEWBORN AND THE PUNISHMENT (2)

"I can’t believe it... the baby is not alpha Cane’s..." Nala said breathlessly, as Lou thrusted her from behind very slowly. This merchant was so annoying, even when they were making love, he could find a way to annoy her to no end.

When Nala begged him to go faster, he would go even slower, which made her so mad, but she needed to keep her anger in check, just in case this eccentric merchant would kick her out and stopped taking care of her. It could happen, since he was very unpredictable. Nala couldn’t read this man at all.

The more she tried to study him, the more confused she was.

But when Nala asked him to slow down a bit because she couldn’t take it, he went even faster and then pulled out from her and finished it himself, which left her hanging with sexual frustration. It happened often, but sometime, when he was normal enough, the sex with him was not that bad. No, it was actually great, because he could be a considerate partner...

However, the problem was; this merchant was so rare to appear normal.

"Hm... that damned alpha..." Lou whispered to Nala’s ear, he was vexed by the news. Cane must have planned all of this, that was why he didn’t care about that pregnant woman, who claimed the baby was his.

He had never paid attention to the woman, who conceived his firstborn, instead of being happy, he actually neglected her. But then, knowing that alpha, Lou had this feeling that everything had been predetermined.

Cane rarely did something out of impulse or had no meaning at all, there must be more into it.

"Lou, faster please..." Nala whimpered, this man drove her crazy, but then she freaked out and growled in anger when Lou actually pulled out from her and finished it himself. "You bastard!" Nala was very frustrated with him at this point.

"What?" Lou smirked, he tilted his head, as he cleaned himself. "I don’t want you to get pregnant. I do you a favor, you should thank me."

"If you don’t want me to get pregnant, you shouldn’t have fucked me in the first place! More so, I drink my tea! I don’t want to get pregnant with your child too!"

"Ouch! That hurt my ego. Many women begged for my offsprings, for you not to bear my child, there must be something wrong with your head." Lou stared at Nala innocently and she hated it when he acted all naïve. It didn’t suit him at all. "And for reminder, it was you, who were the one offered yourself to me, remember? If you don’t like it, you can go. I have never told you to stay."

With that statement, Nala clamped her mouth. This merchant must know she had nowhere else to go, that’s why he could say something like that so easily, knowing she wouldn’t go anywhere.

"Sometime, you need to take care of yourself, you know." Lou winked at her and then drank his alcohol. It was almost midnight.

Meanwhile, Nala sat on the bed, her body was so hot, she felt very uncomfortable with this built up tension, but she was no longer in the mood to do anything about it and this feeling was so suck!

"Oh, I see you heal well. The medicine worked."

"Yes, thank you," Nala said with hard edge on her voice. She was grateful for Lou’s attention about her scars, but this merchant so weird. She had never met someone like him before.

Yet, there was time when her heart was so warm when he paid attention to small thing she said, which was something no one had ever done to her before, such as; when she said she felt like she wanted to eat a certain meal because Sabian brought her the same thing again and again, and the next time, the meal was exactly how she wanted.

Lou was also generous with his gift, as he adorned her with rare diamond whenever he was in a good mood and she said the right thing that cheer him up.

"Hellooooo." Lou waved his hand in front of Nala’s face, because she didn’t respond when he spoke with her. "Did the tension is too much for you to shut down your brain?"

"Wh- what?" Nala was thinking about another thing, she missed the question. "What did you say?"

Lou frowned, he approached her on the bed again and pulled away the blanket that covered her nakedness. "I told you we are going to leave to the Riverside pack tonight, two hours from now. You need to pack your thing."

"Oh..." Nala didn’t hear that, but then her eyes widened when Lou caressed her inner thigh. "What are you doing?"

"Sexual tension is not good for your brain, you become stupid. I will give you a hand here... or a finger." Lou was so casually when he talked about it and inserted one finger against her opening, which made Nala gasped.

"N- no need." Nala tried to push him away, but she couldn’t help it, because it felt good. "You are going to back away."

"Promise, I will be good." Lou inserted one more finger, which sent Nala to edge and he kept his words to be good until she got her release. "You are a handful..." he complained.

"Do you think by staring at the baby he will miraculously get up and walk by himself to the carriage?!" Jace was so stressful with this warrior. He had been waiting out there for a few minutes, while Redmond supposed to go inside and get the baby, but he had not yet come out.

When Jace found him, he was staring at the baby that stared back at him with his sweet smile.

"We don’t have time for this, Redmond! You delay our departure!" Jace was so upset now. Redmond had carried Sofia to the carriage and they were ready to leave to the Riverside pack, but here he was, staring at his newborn.

"I told you I don’t know how to hold a baby!" Redmond protested. He had told Jace countless time he didn’t know how, but the beta thought it was very ridiculous for him to not know how to hold a baby.

"Damn it, Redmond. You are the father, at least, give it a try!" Jace pushed him away and carried the baby himself. During their slavery, there were so many women gave birth to the child they didn’t want it. Some of them graceful enough to take care of the baby, even though the baby was a constant reminder of the nightmare they had to go through, while the other was not so kind with that baby...

Therefore, it was common thing for the men in the Howling Wolf pack to know how to hold a baby, based on that, Jace could do it with ease when he carried the baby in his arms.

"What are you staring at? Do you want to stay here?" Jace walked out of the bedroom.

"How can you hold the baby easily?" Redmond followed behind him, amazed by Jace’s skills.

The beta rolled his eyes, because it sounded ridiculous. "Instinct."

"Do you think I don’t have instinct?" Redmond frowned, but they were already in front of the carriage and Jace gave the baby to Sofia, who was laying down on the bed, her face was still pale, but she looked better than before after resting for a while and eating.

"Nah, you are only a little bit dull some time."

Redmond and Jace turned their head to the source of the voice and found Lou was approaching them. He raised his hand in greeting, while behind him, a woman followed. She was Nala and Jace almost forgot about her existence, since he almost had never seen her after the attack. He thought, she had fled somewhere.

But now, seeing her with Lou, he remembered unimportant report that mentioned she was with the merchant.

"What are you doing here, Lou?" Jace narrowed his eyes, especially when he saw there was a carriage behind the merchant. "Going somewhere?"

"I am going to Riverside pack. I will check on the tunnel." Lou shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly.

"You should have gone two days ago," Redmond pointed it out. "Why are you still here?"

"You are so rude," Lou said with a frown. "I am tired, okay. I need to rest too after working so hard to keep this pack away from the monsters that lurked in the mountain. They are being so mean and active because winter will come soon."

"And now you chose to go to the Riverside pack at the same time with me?" Redmond scoffed. "Do you think I will believe you if you said this is a coincident."

"I never said this is a coincidence. I did go at this time on purpose."

Jace held Redmond’s shoulder and pushed him back. He knew, they would only waste their time to bicker over nothing. "Go now, Red, you need to reach the Riverside pack as soon as possible."

"I heard the baby is not the alpha, so it’s true?" Nala chimed in, she stood next to Lou and the merchant clicked his tongue because he didn’t like it when a woman got into his business. "So, where are you going? Shouldn’t the alpha punish that woman?" Nala ignored the heated glare that burned her cheek from Lou.

"That’s none of your business, go and fuck around with someone else if you have free time!" Redmond growled. He had enough for people wanting to kill Sofia.
