The Academy’s Weakest Became A Demon-Limited Hunter
Chapter 365: Side Story — Reunion (4)

Assessing the situation.

Everyone at the reunion stared at me in shock. It was because Alice Carroll suddenly appeared and showered me with kisses.

Ian Fairytale was still unconscious and unable to take care of his lover.

Ciel Carnedas’s eyes sparkled with intense curiosity. The girl, who usually lived with a face worn down by exhaustion, looked as if she were about to pull out popcorn and 3D glasses right here and now.

As I shoved the bewildering emotions deep inside, shame came flooding in like a rising tide.

It was an inevitable flow of emotion. Even though there was no one in this world whose opinions I needed to mind, I still found myself giving an ordinary reaction in situations like this. After all, I had spent so long living cautiously, guarding against the collapse of my humanity.

Meanwhile, Alice was smirking slyly.

Despite not being able to read her mind due to the [Red Queen’s Paradox], her expression clearly revealed her thoughts.

She was enjoying it, the sight of my flustered expression and the cautious tension of my prospective brides

Chararang.

A monotonous cluster of stars floated up as an invisible force pushed me back. Knowing whose power it was, I didn’t resist and simply stepped backward.

Dorothy instantly inserted herself between Alice and me.

She pointed a finger at Alice and scolded her.

“What are you doing!? Kissing…! H-how could you do this in front of everyone? You’re making the President uncomfortable!”

“Oh my, I couldn’t help myself.”

Dorothy raised her voice in shock and scolded furiously, but Alice covered her mouth, chuckled softly, and remained nonchalant. There wasn’t even a hint of embarrassment on her face.

Indeed, the embarrassment was all ours.

“What could I do? I was so lonely while I was in the kingdom.”

“Nihihi…! So this girl abandoned all sense of decency just because she was lonely!?”

Perhaps it was because she had just witnessed the intense kiss with Alice. Dorothy let out an awkward laugh, clearly displaying her embarrassment.

Beside us, Luce’s chilling, murderous aura flowed quietly. Even as an Ice Wizard myself, it was enough to send a deep chill through me.

“Did my baby miss me too?”

Alice leaned her upper body toward Dorothy and lightly waved at me, her face adorned with a gentle smile. Today of all days, that smile looked annoyingly playful. Yet, her charm was as constant as ever.

“I did miss you, but right now…”

At that moment.

Another surge of mana was suddenly felt.

My eyes widened in surprise.

I immediately turned my head toward the source of the mana.

Kaya…?

For some reason, Kaya was rapidly approaching the place and at lightning speed at that.

In the sudden situation, with Dorothy, Alice, and Luce’s intense mana colliding simultaneously, my ability to judge was delayed.

It’s good that you’re coming, but why now of all times…!

This is bad.

I needed to get out of the situation quickly.

If I ran away, they’d all follow me on their own.

Whooooosh!

A gust of cold wind spread outward.

I transformed into a pale blue chill.

“President!?”

“Isaac?”

“Oh my, Baby. Are you running away?”

I ignored the calls of my women and fled swiftly against the wind in the form of an icy chill.

Dorothy stirred up a dazzling cluster of stars and raced after me, with Luce trailing behind. Alice followed at a relaxed pace, smiling serenely.

Swishhh!

Enveloped in cold, I swiftly traveled and arrived near the gates of Märchen Academy, in the Josena Forest.

The hideout I used before was still intact.

As soon as I arrived, I solidified my physical form. Cold energy gathered and condensed, reverting me to my original form.

“Phew.”

With “Isaac’s First Love” as the hot topic, there was no way the reunion could proceed smoothly now that the most powerful women of this world, my women, had gathered.

Unless my women had fully reconciled with each other, which they certainly hadn’t.

Just a moment ago, a disaster almost unfolded.

This place should work. I’ll mediate things here.

At that moment.

“Welcome, Isaac,” suddenly, someone hugged me from behind and whispered intimately into my ear.

“I knew you would come this way.”

“Kaya?”

When did she…!?

“Hehe. Yes, it’s me. Your very own Kaya.”

I was slow to assess the mana.

I never expected her to have arrived here already.

“Would you like to come inside for a moment?”

“Huh? Oh.”

Kaya pulled me into the hideout without using any magic, relying solely on her delicate physical strength.

Kaya gave the door a light push with her back, and it opened easily. It must have been left unlocked at some point.

Since I was planning to talk with my women here at the hideout anyway, it didn’t matter.

Dorothy, Alice, and Luce were on their way here. They were moving at a reasonable speed.

The reason they had initially flown here at such incredible speed was the long distance they had to cover. They likely slowed down to avoid causing damage within the academy grounds.

Have they also realized that Kaya is here?

“The others are coming, too? They’ll probably be here within five seconds.”

“Ha-ha… Somehow, the girls suddenly showed up in the middle of the reunion, so I thought I’d have a chat with them here…”

I instinctively put on a kind smile and laughed awkwardly.

“That’s fortunate. I get to have you all to myself for a little while.”

“What?”

Kaya turned her body toward me.

Faint moonlight seeped in, illuminating a pair of dimly visible red eyes in the darkness. It was the manifestation of Kaya the Ravenous.

Her cheeks were flushed red like her eyes, and a sly smile spread across her face.

Kaya placed both hands on my cheeks.

“I’ll apologize in advance, okay?”

Smooch.

Before I could say anything, Kaya rose onto her tiptoes and pressed her lips against mine.

Whooosh!

I soon realized that Dorothy, Luce, and Alice had arrived at the entrance of the hideout.

Smooch, smooch…

Kaya wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed me so passionately, as if she were trying to devour my soul, that I couldn’t easily push her away.

“W-what is it this time…!?”

“Isaac…?”

“Oh my.”

It felt like a storm of trouble was about to blow in.

Kaya pulled away from my lips, her warm breath lingering near them. Her enchanting smile remained as her crimson eyes gazed deeply into mine.

…It was utterly mesmerizing, so much so that I couldn’t shake it off.

Before I knew it, heat had risen to my face. I had unwittingly become aroused.

Without realizing it, I read Kaya’s thoughts. The same excitement and her efforts to prepare for this moment filled my mind.

Have you been practicing this in your imagination all along?

It seemed that Kaya had been relentlessly training herself in her mind just to have this deep kiss with me.

Surely that wasn’t the reason she returned to her family… was it?

“So, what brings you all here even though the wedding hasn’t happened yet? Oh, except for Princess Snow White, of course. But anyway, I wonder what you’re all up to~?”

Kaya clung to me tightly, as if I were her possession, resting her chin on my shoulder.

She looked at the women standing behind me and asked in a playful tone.

Her tone was filled with both playfulness and a hint of sultriness.

“Well…”

Just as I was about to respond.

“I see. I understand.”

Crack.

Luce tilted her neck side to side, stretching, and then glared intensely.

What is that chilling bone-cracking sound just now?

“So, today’s the day we all shed some blood, huh?”

Wait, how did you even come to that conclusion!?

“Hold on, Luce. We need to talk things through first, right…? Ah!”

As I hurriedly tried to speak, Kaya’s fingers slipped between mine, intertwining with them.

I gave a brief glance in Kaya’s direction, and she smiled softly, as if slightly shy.

I could almost picture Kaya’s true personality screaming internally from embarrassment.

“What conversation? About the pests that latched onto Isaac while we weren’t around?”

“Still, calling them pests is a bit harsh, isn’t it? They’re our peers.”

“And?”

“Cheshire and Ella must have said something strange, right? Don’t misunderstand. Amy is not my first love. I swear, sincerely, with my head held high, without a shred of shame,” I spoke with my signature kind smile on my face.

Dorothy lifted the brim of her witch’s hat and stared at me with a bewildered expression.

Alice crossed her arms and smiled leisurely, as if she were enjoying my reaction.

Luce silently glared at me, emanating an ominous aura.

“Amy must’ve had her reasons for saying that…”

“I’m curious. What reason could a pest have to claim that she’s my husband’s first love?”

At that moment, Luce began to walk toward me.

Thud!

“…!”

A mystical green vine shot up from the ground, blocking Luce’s path.

Luce was momentarily startled, then glared sharply at Kaya.

“Yes, yes~ I think I’ve got a general idea of the situation~“

“Kaya…?”

“Whatever misunderstandings you have, you all came here to question Isaac, right? Something about his first love being Amy Holloway?”

Kaya let out a snort of laughter, then turned to Dorothy, Luce, and Alice with a mocking, cynical smile.

“Who are you suspecting? You so-called women of Isaac?”

Her tone was confrontational.

Kaya didn’t let go of my interlocked hand as she stepped forward beside me.

Luce narrowed her eyes.

“You… Why are you looking for trouble?”

“Well, it’s because I can see how troubled Isaac is. He came to the reunion to have a good time with his peers, didn’t he? You didn’t come here to ruin that, did you? Luce Eltania, Dorothy Heartnova, and Alice Carroll. You three.”

Kaya lifted her chin and continued.

“You’re all sooo much stronger than I am~ But if you can’t even be considerate toward the man who’ll be your husband… the marriage might get a little rough, don’t you think? As someone who’s also going to be Isaac’s wife, I see this as an issue I can’t just overlook. Wouldn’t you agree, ladies?”

I agreed.

“Ah, well… Maybe I made things a bit awkward?”

Dorothy took a step back first.

She wiped a bead of sweat from her forehead, scratching her cheek awkwardly with a cute smile.

However, Luce and Alice’s expressions didn’t shift in the slightest, and the air grew heavy as a result.

“Hey, girls, how about we move past this topic for now? Since you’re already here, I can’t completely ignore it, but honestly, I missed you all anyway. Let’s keep things peaceful, okay…”

“Isaac, I’m not done talking yet.”

Luce, really…?

“Baby, no need to explain. It seems like she has something else that’s more important to her.”

Alice sided with Luce.

And before I knew it, a cold sweat trickled down my cheek as I unintentionally read Luce’s thoughts.

Before long, an awkward question suddenly burst from Luce’s lips.

“Then, who is Isaac’s first love?”

“Huh?”

Kaya’s gaze snapped sharply toward me.

“Ahem. Well, that is something I’m curious about…!”

Dorothy cleared her throat and, in a theatrical tone, awkwardly revealed her inner thoughts.

All of my women turned their gazes toward me in perfect unison.
