Chapter 283: Chapter 279: The World of Adults

If there’s any news about Kirins or Beholders, Kirin Fur and Beholder Eyes are both materials for refining the Heavenly Immortal Pill. Since there’s nothing else pressing, Leon wouldn’t mind making a trip specifically for them. Unfortunately, there isn’t a single one.

However, even if there were, considering this world has no internet and long-distance communication is so inconvenient, who knows how many years it would take for such news to reach his ears? By the time he rushed over, those monsters might have long been hunted down by others... News that reaches him surely would have reached others first.

Some underground cities are abandoned strongholds built by their creators. Others are naturally formed cave networks, or eerie lairs carved out by wicked monsters. It’s common for evil cults, monster tribes, and solitary creatures to be drawn to these places and gather together.

Leon did think about exploring some underground cities to make a fortune, but ones that could truly attract him were rare. The ruins of temples occupied by Yuan-Ti and Lamia, for instance, were clearly uninspiring and couldn’t even catch his eye.

In this situation, Leon stayed on the Volcanic Island until he entered the young dragon stage.

"Brother, starting today we’re officially young dragons." A dragon doesn’t undergo an immediate, massive leap in combat power upon transitioning from teenage dragon to young dragon, but the feeling is akin to the difference between a high school student and a college student. Transitioning from teenage dragon to young dragon still holds meaning, and Salovis was visibly excited about it.

"I might be a young dragon now, but you’re not one yet," Leon countered, enjoying the act of disputing.

"Why not?" Salovis asked curiously.

"I’ve always lived on the Material Plane, but you’re different. You spent a long time living in the Star Realm, didn’t you? Dragons can’t age in the Star Realm," Leon pointed at Salovis, "So while you might appear to have reached the young dragon stage, you’re still a teenager at heart."

"Then you’ll definitely die earlier than me." Salovis retorted, disgruntled. "You’re always saying things to ruin the mood."

"You must be joking." Leon said, "I’m destined for immortality."

Salovis wanted to sneer, but she swallowed her words. After all, her brother was already so strong now; achieving immortality in the future would likely be a trivial matter for him.

Leon hadn’t even realized he had unknowingly transformed into a young dragon.

In his previous life, he’d only lived a little over twenty years. Crossing over to this world had unexpectedly lengthened his lifespan. Still, because of his ingrained perception, Leon continued to identify more with his human transmigrator self.

"Brother, have you checked lately to see how big you’ve gotten?" Being his biological sibling, Salovis always cared deeply about Leon.

"No... Might as well check now. I wonder just how big I’ve gotten." Leon said as he walked out of the villa and onto the beach, stretching his body as he reverted back to his dragon form.

Thanks to the Breathing and Exhaling Skill, Leon’s growth rate had always been exceptionally fast. Coupled with his residence on the now-feng-shui-enhanced Volcanic Island and his recent consumption of several Heavenly Immortal Pills, Leon—having just entered the young dragon stage—already boasted a physique close to that of a mature dragon.

Salovis examined Leon. His shoulder height was approaching five meters, while his body length was still under eight meters, but his total length was nearing twenty-five meters, with a wingspan of roughly thirty meters. Absolutely enormous, she exclaimed enviously, "Brother, you’re growing way too fast. You’re clearly a young dragon, yet you’re bigger than Mother."

"I surpassed her long ago." Leon stated bluntly.

"Thinking about it, rather than you growing quickly, it’s probably that Mother is just more petite." Salovis couldn’t resist making cheeky comments.

"How about I call her over so you can say that again?" Leon squinted at his sister.

"Fine, I admit it’s you growing faster." Salovis conceded. She knew deep down that Leon was indeed growing at an extraordinary rate. After all, how could a young dragon already have the physique of a mature one?

For most dragons, physical size is directly correlated to combat power. But for Leon, size was just an additional perk; his strength primarily came from his spells. Still, having such a massive body was undoubtedly a good thing, and he was extremely satisfied.

"Speaking of which, for a dragon, entering the young dragon stage signifies maturity." Salovis nodded, her eyes sparkling. As a typical girl and a serial gossip, she leaned in eagerly, "Is Tassera your mate then? Have you ever thought about having her lay eggs for you?"

"I’ve reached the young dragon stage, yes. But has Tassera entered it yet?" Leon replied.

"She’s almost an adult, isn’t she?" Salovis quipped, "I can’t wrap my head around it—Brother, you actually fancy older women?"

"What do you understand?" Leon dismissed her. "I hope Tassera hears you calling her an old woman."

"I’m not afraid of her." Salovis said, her lips curling into a mischievous grin.

"Why are you laughing?" Leon asked, "Why do I find it so sleazy?"

Salovis laughed uncontrollably, nearly doubling over as she said, "Brother, you’re so big—a young dragon with the physique of a mature one. Your shoulder height is nearly five meters, while Tassera’s shoulder height isn’t even four meters... When you two, uh, you know, do that, wouldn’t there be... issues?"

"But as I recall, you prefer human forms more," Salovis added self-proclaimed wisdom, nodding her head, "That way, there wouldn’t be any problems."

"No, no." Salovis then shook her head again. "But in dragon form, she’s still just a Blue Dragon. In her human form, she’s a fragile mage. How could she withstand your... destruction?"

"A mage is a mage—who says mages are fragile?" Leon countered, "Don’t you know they can be battle mages? Sword in hand, taking on Balors in straightforward combat?"

"I don’t believe that." Salovis retorted.

"Believe whatever you want." Leon shrugged.

"What you mean is, Tassera’s human form is pretty strong too?" Salovis’s eyes widened.

"Of course, I’m a bit stronger—uh, no, much stronger." In certain aspects, a man could never compromise. Leon was no exception.

Salovis was about to continue asking.

"You’ve gone far enough," Leon said. "I know you’ve entered puberty and are curious about these things, but I’m not your gossip subject."

"If you’re that interested, go find someone yourself and experience it firsthand." Leon frowned slightly, inexplicably uneasy.

"Only if he’s stronger than you." Salovis affirmed.

"That’s why, when you’re young, you shouldn’t fall for someone too dazzling." Leon sighed.

"If no one can be as strong as Brother..." Salovis stared at Leon, "Why should I settle for less?"

"Do you realize the terrible things you’re saying?" Leon asked.

"What’s the problem?" Salovis questioned, "Dragons are perfect creatures; we don’t have genetic diseases."

Leon hesitated, unsure of how to respond. Fortunately, Salovis quickly shifted her focus and asked, "I’ve been wanting to ask—Cecilia’s always liked you, hasn’t she? She’s usually quite forward and, honestly, fairly charming. Although, I admit her human form is a bit flat-chested. So how do you hold yourself back?"

"You don’t bite the hand that feeds you." Leon replied.

"What a foolish brother." Salovis giggled. "You’ve given her so much—the forest’s leadership, Watchtower Port’s position of power, the Chief Maid’s title, dividing pyramids and making tens of thousands of gold coins in one fell swoop. That alone is enough to justify her offering herself a hundred times over, yet you still hesitate over material things?"

There were things Tassera might not say, but Salovis had no problem pointing them out: "If you ask me, you’ve given her so much already, yet you haven’t turned her into your woman. That’s downright foolish."

"If I were you, I wouldn’t even let Fiora off the hook." Compared to Leon, Salovis was undoubtedly a greedy Red Dragon.

"You have power, but your brain doesn’t seem to work that well." Salovis teased, "At least I’ve found a way I’m better than you. Happy now."

"You’re begging for a beating," Leon said, rolling up his sleeves.

Salovis bolted away.

Leon was lost in thought, unaware that Salovis had just returned to her lair to count her wealth—one thousand gold coins gifted by Cecilia. Unbeknownst to him, as he had just entered the young dragon stage and officially become an adult, darker schemes and intrigues were waiting to unfold before him.
