Chapter 204: Chapter 203 Peeping Tom

A swipe of his tail could shatter boulders, and his Vajra Body could last for a long time with a single breath. Samadhi True Fire no longer needed to be saved as a trump card, and using Downy Hairs to detach two scales wasn’t a problem either. Leon could genuinely feel his growth.

What Balor, the ancient and terrifying embodiment of evil, what Pit Fiend, the undisputed overlord among most devils. Leon was sure he wouldn’t falter in a fight against them. Especially the former, with its abundance of fire damage, he was immune to fire damage and, as a Red Dragon, he didn’t rely on fire damage for sustenance, making battles remarkably easy.

Nonetheless, Leon wasn’t planning to do anything grand. Even if "the world is so big, I want to go see it," there was no rush. Wasn’t he actually not even a young dragon yet? The future was long ahead, and even if he wasn’t immortal, he had thousands of years to squander.

Moreover, his favorite thing was not taking on challenges; he had no interest in them. On the contrary, he enjoyed using his strength to dominate the weak, like when one plays a game and grinds to a high-level, then easily breezes through it unless there were time-sensitive missions that demanded immediate attention.

Leon still enjoyed lingering around Watchtower Port, waking up from a nap, yawning wide, and deciding to go check on Tassera’s Mage Tower.

After so many years, Tassera’s Mage Tower was nearly complete.

For various reasons, it wasn’t built in a more suitable location, like a coast not far from Watchtower Port, but was instead erected on Leon’s Volcanic Island.

One of Tassera’s considerations was having Leon and his followers around meant the Mage Tower could save much preparation to ward off uninvited guests. If Chains Demon General Marahis wanted to trouble her, they would have to face Leon first.

When Leon found Tassera, she was researching electrical currents. Upon seeing his appearance, her eyes immediately lit up, and she said, "You came just in time. I was just about to look for you."

"What do you need me for?" Leon asked, "Those things about direct current, alternating current, and pulsed electricity, I don’t remember from which book I read them or who told me; that’s all I know."

Indeed, out of boredom, Leon shared some Earthly knowledge with Tassera. Who knew that Tassera, who initially didn’t care, would become obsessed with him after dabbling a bit, willing to cooperate regardless of the matter for the sake of knowledge.

Direct current, alternating current, pulsed electricity, lightning, frictional electricity, static induction, electromagnetic induction... Leon’s inventory of knowledge was just that, scraped clean by Tassera before long. Regardless, Leon enjoyed a rather comfortable time during that period.

Hearing Leon’s words, Tassera was momentarily disheartened. However, she could sense that Leon truly knew nothing more, rather than knowing but being unwilling to tell her. Leon’s character was such that tenderness would win him over, but even after much pleading from her, there was evidently nothing left to share.

Leon came looking for Tassera, but seeing she was busy, he did not disturb her and instead turned to dive into the library on the third floor of the Mage Tower, intending to find some books of interest to take with him.

Leon came quickly and left quickly, soon departing with a few books and returning to his villa.

"Welcome back, master."

"The master has returned."

Over the years, Leon’s villa had also recruited several maids, all of whom were beautiful Tiefling girls helping with the cleaning tasks.

The reason there were only Tiefling maids and no maids of other races was that, although he always appeared quite orderly and as the ruler of Watchtower Port was respected by many, humans were mostly afraid of him and were not well-suited to the environment of the Volcanic Island.

Under such circumstances, Tieflings, who were often discriminated against due to their devilish lineage, subjected to stares and whispers, and constantly endured street violence and insults, were willing to become Red Dragon’s maids. They conveniently had Flame Prison resistance, unaffected by extreme heat, and were fine even atop the Volcano as long as they didn’t fall into the Molten Lava.

Leon waved off the Tiefling maids and ran to his bedroom to lie on the bed reading, only to have turned just a few pages before napping away for several hours, sleeping from morning to afternoon.

Upon waking, Leon decided not to continue reading but to fly around instead. After a round of flight, he landed on the landing platform atop the Volcano, intending to jump into the Molten Lava Pool for a bath. Yet he inexplicably felt like he was being watched. Looking around revealed nothing besides some Salamanders guards, not even a single Magma Mephit.

An illusion?

Feeling uneasy, Leon scanned the surroundings again, even jumping out of the Molten Lava Pool to walk around the Volcano Top rim, finding nothing still.

Just when he was about to give up, an idea suddenly struck Leon.

He decisively hid inside the castle beside the crater, tore off a scale, and used Downy Hairs to summon a Red Dragon clone indistinguishable from himself, directing the clone to walk toward the observation deck, while he waited a few minutes before activating Gathering Form and Scattering Energy.

Transforming into a cloud of Clean Energy and entering an invisible state, Leon flew out of the castle, pondering where someone spying on him might hide. Circling around, he landed atop his castle’s turret, utilizing the Heavenly Eye Technique to spot a blurry green silhouette spying on his Red Dragon clone, immediately pouncing to grab the peeping perpetrator...

Big, truly big—this was Leon’s first impression upon grabbing the voyeur. If this spy were an enemy, there might have been a hard-fought battle ahead.

In any case, Leon tackled the spy, rolling together from the turret to the ground, the spy revealing itself from invisibility upon falling, allowing Leon to see clearly what creature he had captured.

It was a Green Dragon... no, not a Green Dragon, the only resemblance to a Green Dragon was its scales, equally layered and with shimmering green scales reflecting a hazy glow in the light.

Jade Dragon, it was a Jade Dragon.

Why would a Jade Dragon spy on him? As Leon mused wildly, he suddenly found his embrace empty, as the Jade Dragon vanished.

Jade Dragons belong to the Gemstone Dragons, maintaining neutrality between good and evil, possessing formidable spiritual energies, and are generally capable of Spiritual Step, which is essentially Teleportation.

The Jade Dragon used Spiritual Step to escape Leon’s hold, reappearing not far from him, ironically allowing Leon a clear view.

This Jade Dragon was larger than him, even larger than the middle-aged Red Dragon Angmog, straddling between the colossal and the super-colossal, undeniably an Ancient Dragon.

Jade Dragons aren’t the strongest of the Gemstone Dragons, ranking third among them, but against an Ancient Dragon, it’s hard to say.

"You—" Leon took a deep breath, unsure if he could win against an Ancient Jade Dragon, "what’s your plot in sneaking invisible onto my territory?"

Leon had considered that by occupying Watchtower Port, adventurers of justice might trouble him, or that his mother and sisters, having heard of his fame, could come looking for him, but never a Jade Dragon.

"How did you discover me?" spoke the Jade Dragon, "I have no plot, nor malice, don’t be nervous."
