Tale of the Red Dragon Without Dragon’s Might
Chapter 107: Leon Utterly Defeated

Chapter 107: Chapter 107: Leon Utterly Defeated

Leon was originally lying in the Molten Lava Lake, soaking in the boiling molten lava, which for him, felt no different from a hot spring. Watching Tassera circle the sky above the Molten Lava Lake, then landing on Dome Castle, he lazily stretched his wings and flew towards Dome Castle after a moment of confusion.

As soon as Tassera landed, she transformed into her human form. She preferred being in human form over her dragon form because it was more convenient for doing various things such as reading, writing, and experimenting.

Her loosely curled long hair fell soft, her eyes were deep blue gemstones, her shoulders smooth as freshly peeled eggs, and her sleeveless black dress hugged her beautiful body tightly, her full breasts slightly heaving with each breath... Leon swept his eyes over Tassera twice discreetly before retracting his gaze, asking, "You finally came back from Crossroads City..."

"Being away that long, it was time to return." Tassera raised her arms and stretched lazily, tidying up her long hair. After sweeping her hair aside to reveal the delicate and beautiful lines of her nape - usually hidden by her hair - she turned back to look at Leon, "It’s really hot here... Can I take off one more piece?"

"If you want to take it off, I don’t mind." Leon walked over and sat down by the stone table, his hands on the table.

Tassera just smiled slightly; she was just making a casual remark.

"Is the problem solved?" Leon looked out from the balcony, seeing Efreeti training a young Magma Land Shark in the Molten Lava Lake; he knew Blue Dragon had gone to Crossroads City due to a study problem.

"It’s resolved... Betty is indeed much more proficient than me in Summoning Magic." Tassera sighed softly, though she thought she shouldn’t really call it Summoning Magic, but rather the proper term, Spellcasting School.

"That figures," Leon said, "I recall your research interests are shaping energy and illusion techniques, right?"

"Mainly those, though I’ve dabbled in other schools’ spells as well," Tassera thought for a moment, "I know nothing about the spells from the Necromancy School... But I am rather curious about the lost necromantic spells from the Ancient Fallen Empire, like the Demon Blade Spell, the Withering Curse, and the Skeleton Storm Curse, but there’s no way to learn them."

"You might find something if you entered that tomb," Leon remembered the tomb of the Ancient Fallen Empire guarded by the Male-faced Sphinx.

Tassera sat next to Leon, shaking her head, "The Male-faced Sphinx is terrifying enough, never mind what monsters might be hidden inside the tomb. I can’t even think about it for the next hundred years."

Leon was more optimistic; he thought that in a hundred years, he could breeze through that tomb, but it was inconvenient to boast about it now and only invite laughter. He said, "So you’ve started looking into the Spellcasting School recently? Why else would you go find Betty in Crossroads City?"

"Mainly, I encountered a minor issue while making magic statues," Tassera said. "You know how to make magic statues, right? They’re made from rough clay, flesh and bone, steel, or stone, yet possess astonishing strength and durability. The key is infusing a spirit from the Earth Element Plane into the statue..."

Leon kept nodding.

"Do you even understand? What are you nodding for?" Tassera glanced at Leon, who kept nodding, and said while grabbing her hair, "I remember you are utterly clueless about magic."

Leon was indeed a layman just joining in the hubbub, which did not stop him from retorting after being teased: "I may not know how to infuse a spirit into a statue, but I still have some knowledge about mechanics, like belt drives, pistons, gears, pulleys, hydraulic systems, and the like."

"How so?" Tassera’s eyes lit up.

"It’s too much to explain all at once," Leon refused to explain.

"Then let’s have a good chat about it another day..." Tassera said, blinking suddenly and reaching out to grab Leon’s hand on the table, "I’m really curious."

"Speak, but let’s keep hands off," Leon withdrew his hand.

"The little kid is shy," Tassera covered her mouth with her hand and slightly tilted her head while looking at Leon.

"Come on, continue," Leon put his hand back on the table, but Blue Dragon wasn’t having any of it.

Leon crossed his arms with a reproachful expression, "Seriously, you think you can tease me? It seems like you think you’re so experienced. What, just because you’ve read a few books? Just because you pretend to be a mysteriously disguised Divination Master, relying on your spells to fool adventurers—it’s fine, but you think you can fool me?"

Tassera pursed her lips and said, "Are you really a teenage dragon? I’ve never seen a teenage dragon like you before."

"Now you have," Leon shrugged.

"Honestly..." Tassera crossed her legs, her calf slender and tight under her long skirt, her toes wiggling, hands on the crossed legs, leaning her body down towards Leon in a listening posture, "I’m really curious what you’ve experienced over the years, can you tell me?"

Leon, looking at the large expanse of pale smooth skin revealed by Tassera leaning forward, lamented his failing vision, pinched his chin, and lowered his head, "Nope, I can’t tell you... The only thing I can tell you is, don’t treat me like a child."

"But you are a teenage dragon," Tassera straightened her posture.

"Give it a few more years and I’ll have grown up," Leon longed to grow up.

"Hmm, you’re already so charming now, who knows what it’ll be like once you’ve grown..." Tassera stared at Leon’s face unabashedly for a moment, then uncrossed her legs, changing her position and leaning back against the stone table, "Even the vampires are smitten with you, wanting to elope with you, yet you just don’t catch the hints."

"I really don’t want to become a Vampire Dragon." Leon remembered that dragons could also turn into vampires, or Vampire Dragons. Although they look very much like living dragons, like vampires, they have no shadows and no reflections in mirrors. The difference is, Vampire Dragons are always rooted in their treasure hoards instead of coffins.

"Vampires don’t have the power to turn dragons into Vampire Dragons," Tassera said, "Vampire Dragons are very rare, mainly created by energy absorption effects or rare gatherings of negative energy."

Leon nodded, having learned something new.

"Speaking of which, such a beautiful vampire, weren’t you tempted at all to experience her charm?" Tassera widened her eyes, "You just said you weren’t a child."

"In fact, I’m just a teenage dragon; I don’t have that ability," Leon paused, "Also, if you were in my shoes, would you like a vampire?"

"Do you look down on vampires?" Tassera asked.

"It’s not that I look down on vampires..." A vampire with white hair, red eyes, and little fangs - Leon couldn’t deny the cuteness, "I just don’t fancy her... she has a worldly air about her."

"So, you like pure and beautiful princesses?" Tassera smiled, "In those bard tales, the Evil Dragon always demands the kingdom’s most pure and beautiful princess, then the Hero appears, kills the Evil Dragon, rescues the princess, and they live happily ever after."

"Fairy tales always end with them living happily ever after," Leon said, "The real story should be, the Dragon Slayer eventually becomes the Evil Dragon."

"You haven’t said whether you like pure and beautiful princesses or not?" Tassera pressed.

"Compared to princesses... For some reason, I prefer roles like the Chief Maid or Guard Commander, they feel more real to me," Leon continued, "Women marry up, men marry down, so I don’t care about status, mainly beauty, cleanliness... and of course, good character."

"Am I to your liking then?" Tassera stood up, lightly pulling at her skirt and turning around before Leon as if dancing, "Not to boast, but the Sapphire of the Desert is the praise everyone gives me. Plus, I’m a young dragon, very clean, and as a Blue Dragon, our kind is loyal to the family, disloyalty is rare. And finally, as a Storage Dragon, my interest in property isn’t that strong."

Leon had no doubts, he replied, "No problem."

"But I wouldn’t dare choose someone like you as a mate," Tassera laughed softly as she sat back down, her hands resting on her knees.

"Why?" Leon’s heart twitched, "You said I’m good-looking, and I’m strong."

"From what you say usually, I feel like you definitely fall into the ’scumbag’ category, mistreating women, then turning away and ignoring them," Tassera nodded decidedly, "That’s typical of Red Dragons, isn’t it? They don’t form families, after mating, they leave guarding of the eggs to younger dragons or simply abandon them to fend for themselves, rarely fighting for their mates."

"Not every Red Dragon is the same. There are good and bad people, and Red Dragons are the same," Leon questioned, "Where did I give you the impression of a scumbag?"

"In many aspects... I don’t know how to explain it," Tassera raised her delicate finger to her lips, tilting her head as she looked at Leon, "Am I wrong?"

"Definitely wrong," Leon seriously considered; he possessed a human soul, his values were set, though being a Red Dragon for over a decade had brought many changes.

Leon organized his thoughts and said, "My code of conduct has always been, those who kill must be prepared to be killed. So, if I have a mate... how she treats me, I’ll treat her. If she is steadfast, I will be too. If she has ill intentions, I won’t just sit and wait."

"I know your definition of pure love," Tassera giggled, flicking her slightly curled hair behind her ear, revealing her beautiful ear, "Double standards, huh?"

"Yes, it’s double standards," Leon did not hide his reprehensible mentality, "I’m not a saint, I am an evil Red Dragon. Whether it’s a spouse, subordinate, or ally, whoever betrays me, I kill. Whoever annoys me, whoever makes me feel uneasy, I kill."

"I am rational, but only by my rules," Leon said as he stood up and spread his arms towards the Molten Lava Lake, "I follow rules, but only my rules, and my rules can change at any time."

"Right, I am a chaotic evil Red Dragon," Leon laughed heartily, clenching his fist.

Tassera rested her elbow on the table, supporting her face while watching Leon, thinking to herself what a domineering Red Dragon he truly was.

Leon noticed Blue Dragon was still looking at him and asked, "What are you looking at?"

Tassera’s lips curved slightly, "Why don’t you ask me why I came to see you today?"

"Why?" Leon asked, "It can’t be just to chat."

"Before coming here, I went to Crystal Mountain and had a talk with Rocas," Tassera responded.

Her lips were clearly defined, curving beautifully.

Leon, expressionless, felt oddly like a pitiful Tom cat being toyed with in the palm of someone’s hand.
