Having slept soundly, it was another new week.

Early in the morning, Ning An was woken up by Qin Suxin.

"Grandma’s good child, it’s time to get up. You have classes today and can’t keep sleeping!"

"I know, Grandma. Just let me snooze a bit more; I’ll get up right away."

While Ning An responded verbally, his eyes remained closed. He snuggled into the blanket and stayed in bed for another three minutes before finally getting up.

Upon opening his eyes and seeing Qin Suxin had stayed by his bedside, Ning An got up and gave her a big hug, saying, "Grandma, good morning!"

The old lady smiled and urged him, "If you’re awake, hurry up and wash up. I’ll bring you breakfast."

"Thank you, Grandma!" Ning An rested his head on the old lady’s shoulder and nuzzled her for a while before finally heading to the bathroom.

Downstairs.

After changing his clothes and coming downstairs, Ning An saw that the old lady had already brought breakfast to the table and called out, "Hurry up and eat. After you’re done, your Young Uncle will give you a ride to school."

"Got it!"

While eating breakfast, Ning An looked towards Yeli, "Young Uncle, you just finished a business trip and already you are back at work. Doesn’t your research institute allow you any time off?"

Qin Suxin replied from the side, "You know what your Young Uncle’s job is like, don’t you? He’d rather spend 356 days a year in the laboratory; taking a break isn’t really important to him anyway."

That was indeed the case.

Could someone else be like him too?

Yeli raised his head and looked at her, "Are you finished eating? If so, let’s set off quickly."

"Coming!" Ning An quickly stuffed a bun into his mouth and stood up, but Qin Suxin stopped him, saying, "What’s the rush? Eat a little more." She didn’t forget to glare at Yeli, "How can you call yourself a Young Uncle if you don’t care a bit more about your niece? Skipping meals yourself for your experiments is one thing, but not letting others eat well?"

"Grandma, I’m already full!" Ning An quickly spoke up for Yeli.

Qin Suxin looked at her with a pained expression, "You’re still too thin. You need to eat more; girls should be a bit plumper to have good fortune."

Ning An: "You’re right. Like you, Grandma, that’s the most fortunate."

"But you forgot, I’ve been unable to gain weight since I was little. Besides, nowadays everyone is spending money to be as thin as your granddaughter."

"Alright, alright, Grandma won’t bother you anymore." Qin Suxin, cheered by the banter, added, "Oh, by the door, there’s a return gift we prepared for the Xu Family’s child. Remember to take it to him."

"Got it!"

Ning An carried a bunch of things from the house into Yeli’s car.

Originally thinking that the return gift would consist of just a few items, Ning An was overwhelmed by how much her family had prepared; the hassle made her immediately discard the idea of delivering it herself.

Turning to Yeli, she said, "Young Uncle, could you just give him the things later? It’ll save me an extra trip."

"Got it!" Yeli, reluctant to have the two interact more though he was loath to deliver anything to someone, agreed nonetheless.

At the laboratory.

After work in the evening, Weiran encountered Yeli at the laboratory entrance.

With a stern face, the latter said to him, "Come with me for a moment."

Weiran thought Yeli had something to say to him and obediently followed him. He then saw Yeli lead him to the parking lot, open the trunk, and say, "Take your stuff."

"For me?"

Recalling the return gift Ning An had mentioned, Weiran immediately understood what was happening.

But the number of gifts was unexpectedly generous.
