Sheng Ning’an followed Xu Weiran, dragging her suitcase, and the moment she entered the waiting room, she saw a familiar figure.

Sheng Ning’an quickly turned around.

"What’s wrong?" Xu Weiran stopped and looked at her suspiciously.

Sheng Ning’an stole a glance behind her and, after making sure she hadn’t mistaken the person, lowered her voice and asked Xu Weiran, "Why didn’t you tell me my Young Uncle was also going?"

Xu Weiran followed her gaze, immediately understood, and the corners of her lips lifted in a half-smile, "Scared?"

"Who said I’m scared? I haven’t done anything wrong," Sheng Ning’an immediately puffed out her chest.

As if she had convinced herself, she then turned back around.

"If you’re not scared, then let’s go!" Xu Weiran took her hand.

Sheng Ning’an took a deep breath and, after mentally preparing herself, stepped forward, following Xu Weiran towards Sheng Yeli’s direction.

"Young Uncle, what a coincidence, you’re going out too?" Sheng Ning’an approached him pretending nothing was amiss and greeted cheerfully.

Sheng Yeli’s expression turned cold in an instant when he saw Sheng Ning’an at the airport, especially with Xu Weiran standing beside her: "What are you doing here?"

Sheng Ning’an didn’t dare say she was accompanying Xu Weiran on a business trip, so she hedged, "Well, I thought I’d take advantage of the weekend and go somewhere nearby for fun."

However, Sheng Yeli was not so easily fooled, his gaze filled with a murderous intent as he looked towards Xu Weiran and said, "With him?"

"Yes!" Sheng Ning’an nodded under pressure.

Sheng Yeli didn’t scold her, but instead, coldly stared at Xu Weiran, "Was it your idea to take her with you?"

"It’s not his fault, I wanted to go with him," Sheng Ning’an blurted out.

"Shut up!" Sheng Yeli glared at her, the look in his eyes suggesting he would settle the score later, before continuing to address Xu Weiran, "Although you two are dating, I hope you can keep your distance. She’s still young, unclear about the consequences of many things, but you are different. Being so much older than her, you should know what you ought to do and what you ought not to do."

"And you," Sheng Yeli then turned to Sheng Ning’an, "You’re a girl, you need to be reserved. How did your family raise you? Did you ask your family before going out with him? Who allowed you to do this? Have you thought about the consequences?"

"Young Uncle, I’m already of age," Sheng Ning’an knew he was concerned about her, but she was not the naive child that didn’t understand anything anymore; she felt she could make her own decisions.

Sheng Yeli coldly said, "Being of age doesn’t mean you can just go on long trips with a man."

Just then, the boarding reminder sounded through the PA system.

"Young Uncle, it’s time to board, let’s go quickly!" Sheng Ning’an breathed a sigh of relief, grateful she could stop listening to the lecture.

Sheng Yeli gave her a glance, turned away, took a few steps, then turned back to urge her, "What are you dawdling for? Hurry up and follow."

"Coming!" Sheng Ning’an hurriedly tugged her suitcase and caught up.

She didn’t forget to shoot a glance towards Xu Weiran.

Xu Weiran returned a reassuring smile.

After boarding the plane, Sheng Yeli told Sheng Ning’an, "You sit with me."

"Alright then," Sheng Ning’an had no choice but to restrain her urge to run towards Xu Weiran and obediently sat down next to Sheng Yeli.

Because her Young Uncle disliked interacting with others, he would always buy the seat next to him as well whenever he traveled.
