Sweetlove: Spoiled by My Childhood Sweetheart
Chapter 534 [Extra] Favoritism

Chapter 534: Chapter 534 [Extra] Favoritism

"Mom, aren’t you going to scold me?" Sheng Ning’an asked, looking up as they left the teacher’s office.

"Why should I scold you?" Shen Zhaozhao feigned confusion.

Sheng Ning’an replied, "Because I pushed another kid and hurt their head."

Shen Zhaozhao stopped walking and patted her daughter’s head, "You didn’t do anything wrong. Girls need to be brave and protect themselves. If you don’t like something, push it away. What you did was very good and correct. Our An’an is truly amazing!"

"Thank you, Mom!" At her words, the little girl’s eyes instantly brightened, and she couldn’t help but hug Shen Zhaozhao’s legs and laugh!

Shen Zhaozhao laughed as well.

The world treated her with bias, and she was willing to give all that bias to her darling.

As they walked out of the kindergarten, they saw a vendor selling goldfish and turtles at the entrance. The little girl tugged on Shen Zhaozhao’s sleeve, "Mom, can we buy one?"

"Of course, we can!" Shen Zhaozhao nodded. "But it would be too lonely just to buy one. You can pick out two more."

"Thank you, Mom, you’re the best! An’an loves you the most, most of all," the little girl sweetly remarked as if her lips were brushed with honey.

"Is that so? Between Mom and Young Uncle, who do you love the most?" Shen Zhaozhao teased her on purpose.

Batting her big eyes, which were like black grapes, the little girl replied cutely, "If Mom asks, An’an loves Mom the most. If Young Uncle asks, An’an loves Young Uncle the most."

Shen Zhaozhao pinched her nose, "You’re such a clever little thing."

They then headed to the vendor selling goldfish. The little girl squatted and took her time picking, eventually choosing one turtle and two goldfish. She also made sure to purchase a small fish tank and a bunch of fish food.

Once they got home, the girl proudly displayed her new pets to everyone. She placed them carefully on the table and didn’t forget to remind Shen Zhaozhao, "Mom, don’t forget to feed the fish."

"Got it!" Before going to sleep, Shen Zhaozhao made sure to feed the fish and turtle in the tank.

However, the next morning when she woke up, she found that both goldfish had flipped over and were belly up, with only the turtle still alive.

"What should I do? Will the little one cry when she wakes up?" Shen Zhaozhao was flabbergasted.

How could they die after just one day?

Sheng Chu smiled and reassured her, "Don’t worry, I remember the supermarket might have them. I’ll go buy two more to replace them right now. She probably won’t notice."

"Then hurry up, she might wake up any minute now."

"All right!" Sheng Chu said and left the house.

But the little girl woke up earlier than they had anticipated.

Not waiting for Shen Zhaozhao to help her get dressed, she ran out of the room in her pajamas.

And the first thing she did upon waking was to go check on the fish.

She lay in front of the fish tank for a long while, gazing inside but not spotting the fish from yesterday. Turning her head, she asked Shen Zhaozhao, "Mom, where are the fish?"

Shen Zhaozhao obviously couldn’t say that the fish were still on their way, so she bit the bullet, "I’m sorry, An’an. The fish died because of Mom. It’s all Mom’s fault. I fed them too much last night, and they were stuffed to death."

The girl, who Shen Zhaozhao expected to burst into tears, blinked her eyes, looked at her seriously, and advised in a soft voice, "Mom, then you should be more careful not to feed me too much and make me die too!"

"..." Shen Zhaozhao was torn between laughter and tears, and patted her little head, "Okay!"
