Chapter 480: Chapter 480: As the Tune Ends, Everyone Goes Their Separate Ways

"What’s there to be sorry about? I’m your girlfriend; taking care of you is something I should do." Any relationship is a mutual one; there is no just enjoying without giving.

Shen Zhaozhao didn’t feel that making soup was anything to feel aggrieved about.

"Besides, I’m waiting for you to make money and support me. This is what’s called an investment, get it? The returns are far greater than the risks. Aren’t I smart?"

"Good!" Sheng Chuyi couldn’t help but laugh upon hearing this.

"Hm? Good what?" Shen Zhaozhao didn’t catch on at first,

Sheng Chuyi: "I’ll support you in the future."

"Okay, then I’ll be waiting," Shen Zhaozhao also couldn’t resist laughing as she spoke.

That year, everyone was busy with their own things.

In the blink of an eye, it was already senior year, and everyone seemed even busier than they had been in junior year.

Those preparing for civil service exams did so, those aiming for graduate school were studying for that, and some were busy getting ready to go abroad.

That year seemed to become the busiest one in everyone’s memories. Everyone was working hard towards different goals, and before they knew it, the time was almost up for them to part ways.

Shen Zhaozhao and Sheng Chuyi both smoothly obtained the qualifications for recommended postgraduate admission at Jing University, Song Ning successfully passed the civil service exams in her hometown and was admitted to the local education bureau.

Su Yang took the postgraduate entrance exam for another key university in Jing City, and Yu Zhi chose to go abroad for further studies.

When it was time to take the graduation photo, many people had tears in their eyes.

Song Ning had already gone home for an internship and had to rush back to work after the farewell dinner. So, after the meal, the three roommates took her to the bus station.

Carrying her luggage, she bid farewell to everyone, "If you have time, come visit my hometown city. I will be your tour guide and provide you with food and accommodation for free."

Yu Zhi: "Sure, I’ll come and mooch off you when I get back from abroad."

Shen Zhaozhao and Su Yang also nodded in agreement.

"Then it’s settled. You all have to come," she said, hugging everyone one by one. Finally, amid everyone’s reluctant gaze, she boarded the bus.

After seeing off Song Ning, Yu Zhi also announced, "I’m going back to Shanghai tomorrow; next month I’m going abroad. Remember to miss me, girls."

After four years of companionship, the final curtain closed, and everyone went their separate ways.

Shen Zhaozhao and Su Yang were slightly better off since they were still in Jing City; they would still have the chance to meet in the future.

Shen Zhaozhao was the last to move out of the dormitory. Although she hadn’t spent much time in the dorm, she felt a lot of reluctance to leave.

There were dormitories for postgraduate students too, but neither of them applied. At the insistence of Shen Zhaozhao, they gave up their previously rented apartment and moved directly into Shen Zhaozhao’s flat.

The ostensible reason was that to save every possible penny during the company’s startup phase.

During the last summer of their senior year, Shen Zhaozhao, as usual, did not go home but instead took on two tutoring jobs.

This time she was tutoring two high school students, one going into the eleventh grade and another into the twelfth. Each had classes in the morning and took breaks in the afternoon. One was on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, the other on Saturdays and Sundays. Both kids lived not far from her apartment.

One was only a few minutes’ walk away.

The other was a bit farther but still only about twenty minutes away by bike.

When she didn’t have classes, she would generally go to the Sheng Family home, and occasionally, she’d also visit Sheng Chuyi’s company.

Sheng Chuyi’s company developed quickly, expanding from just a few people to a team of several dozen within a year.

It probably wouldn’t be long before they’d need to find a new office.

Every time Shen Zhaozhao visited, she could distinctly feel the changes within the company.

She still remembered, a year ago, when Sheng Chuyi stood here and told her, "This place, from now on, is our company."

He said, although the scale was small at the moment, it would definitely grow larger over time.

He also said that since the company was just starting, they could only rent a small place for now but would move to a larger one once the company began making money.

And the words he had said were coming true, little by little.
