Chapter 159 - 157: The Parrot is So Much Fun

Chapter 159: Chapter 157: The Parrot is So Much Fun

He Fang was dressed in a white nightgown, her long hair casually tied behind her head, as she poked half of her body out, holding the door with one hand and tilting her head at the girl in front of her.

The girl was of average height, wearing a silver-gray cocktail dress, her hair pulled back into a neat ponytail, with a few wisps of bangs slanted across her forehead, her fair little face carrying a look of astonishment.

Jiang Lingling certainly hadn’t expected that the person opening the door would be a girl. After a brief moment of shock, she realized that Qin Guanglin must have knocked on the wrong door and subconsciously began to apologize, "I’m sorry..."

"Teacher He," Qin Guanglin muttered, squeezing past her into the room.

"..." Jiang Lingling was stunned again.

"Stay inside."

He Fang wrinkled her nose at the smell of alcohol on Qin Guanglin, slid her hand under his approaching arm and pushed him inside, turning her head to give Jiang Lingling a smile, "Thank you for bringing him home. May I know who you are?"

"Oh, I, I’m his colleague." Jiang Lingling came back to her senses, suddenly feeling an unexplained nervousness, her hands tightening around the corners of her clothing.

"So you’re Guanglin’s colleague," He Fang blinked, wasn’t he supposed to be at a classmate’s wedding? How did a colleague wearing a formal dress pop up?

She pondered this in her mind, but her actions didn’t stop. She pushed the door open wider and sidestepped to make room, "You’ve really gone out of your way. Please come in and have a glass of water."

"No need, I was just worried that he couldn’t make it... couldn’t get home by himself. Now that he’s safe, I’ll be heading back."

Jiang Lingling hurriedly declined, shaking her head and stepping back before turning and walking down the stairs, "I’ll be going now."

Her mind was a mess as she hurriedly descended.

Weren’t they talking about a student sister?

The woman she had just seen had a clean and elegantly simple appearance; even in her home pajamas, she exuded a poised and proper aura.

Her bare face only highlighted her natural grace.

This was a student sister?!

More like a ghost!

Jiang Lingling finally left the building and sighed in relief outside, lifting her gaze toward the third floor.

Standing in front of that woman made her feel more like a student sister.

She felt completely overshadowed.

He Fang watched Jiang Lingling’s figure disappear down the stairs, then turned to close the apartment door and returned to find Qin Guanglin behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist and rubbing his head on her shoulder,

"You stink, don’t get so close to me." She pushed away Qin Guanglin’s head disdainfully and steered him to the sofa to sit down.

"Look at you, no pride at all. You didn’t bring a girl home, but you brought her to me instead." He Fang looked at his slouched form with some helplessness and a bit of amusement.

The girl’s nervousness had not escaped her notice; she could tell something was off at a glance.

Something was fishy.

She was confident in Qin Guanglin’s behavior—this fool could mistake a woman hitting on him in the gym for a salesperson, so it would be strange if he created a mess.

Obviously, it was another little girl who was blind.

"Teacher He, can you get me a glass of water..." Qin Guanglin smacked his lips, feeling thirsty.

"You’re not drinking a damn thing."

He Fang snorted, stood up, and poured half a glass of water from the kettle, "Have some cool boiled water first, and later I’ll warm up some water for you to drink."

"You’re the best."

Qin Guanglin drank the glass dry with gulping noises, staggered to his feet and into the bedroom, flopping straight onto the bed, "Just let me rest a bit, then I’ll go running with you... then, then I’ll blow-dry my hair..."

"What are you doing in there?" He Fang carried the kettle to the kitchen to refill it with water, only to come back and find the living room empty. She started to heat the water again and went to the bedroom to tug Qin Guanglin into a sitting position, "You reek of alcohol; go home and take a shower, don’t lie down."

"..."

"Wake up, wake up."

"..."

Qin Guanglin had barely made it back here before collapsing into the familiar smell of the bed, falling asleep like a dead pig. He Fang pulled at him for a long time but couldn’t get him up, gave up reluctantly, and sat in a chair with a headache.

What to do?

He sure didn’t seem to be faking it.

He had promised not to drink too much, and now he was drunk as a skunk, infuriating.

He Fang fanned her nose with her hand, stood up, opened the window to let in some air, and then went to undress him.

"Teacher He, why are you taking off my shoes..." Qin Guanglin murmured, half awake again.

"..."

"Teacher He, why are you unbuttoning my shirt..."

"..."

"Teacher He, why are you taking off my..."

"Shut up!" He Fang replied irritably as she picked up his clothes to empty the pockets, placing his phone, wallet, and keys on the desk, "You smell awful from all that liquor."

Everything reeked of alcohol.

She tossed the clothes into the washing machine, fetched a basin of warm water in the bathroom, and began to wipe down Qin Guanglin’s body with a towel.

"When you drink too much, you’re just like the great master, always needing someone to wait on you. If you dare drink this much again, I’ll throw you on the couch and not let you in the room," He Fang grumbled as she wiped his body down, rinsed the towel, and smacked it on his back, "Roll over."

"Teacher He, why are you hitting me..."

"I told you to roll over!" She kneeled on the bed and pushed Qin Guanglin forcefully, "You’re so heavy, hurry up and turn over."

After much effort, she managed to flip him to one side. He Fang breathed a sigh of relief and scrubbed his face with the towel as if she were washing a child’s face.

"What’s so good about alcohol, huh? Drinking so much..."

"... and you swore this afternoon that you wouldn’t drink a lot..."

"... and you brought a girl home, let me tell you, I’m jealous..."

"Hmph, I’ll deal with you tomorrow."

He Fang continued to mutter as she wiped him down thoroughly. She tossed the towel in the basin to wash and wring it out, setting it aside, then she grabbed his feet, put them in the basin, and vigorously scrubbed them.

"Teacher He..."

"Call me wife."

"Wife?"

"Yeah." He Fang laughed, "Say it again."

"Wife..."

"Yeah."

After she finished cleaning up Qin Guanglin, she lifted his legs into the bed and lay him down properly, then crawled up to his ear and giggled, "Call wife."

"Wife." Qin Guanglin mumbled with his eyes closed.

"Say ’I love you’."

"I love you."

"All together."

"All together."

"That’s not right." He Fang laid her head on his chest and reached out to touch his cheek, "Say ’wife, I love you’."

"Wife, I love you."

"That’s wonderful."

She leaned in and gave Qin Guanglin a hearty kiss, "I forgive you, not jealous anymore."

Climbing off the bed with a happy face, He Fang took the water in the basin to the washroom to dispose of it, then returned to the bedroom to pick up Qin Guanglin’s phone. She looked at the lock screen, pondered for a moment, and tentatively entered his birthday.

Password incorrect.

"What’s the password?" she shook Qin Guanglin and asked.

"What’s the password?"

"I’m asking you for the phone’s password."

"I’m asking you... for the phone’s password."

"..."

He Fang sighed; he was really drunk.

After fiddling with the phone for a bit, she looked up, thought again, and entered her own birthday on the keypad.

Password correct.

Surprised, she glanced at Qin Guanglin, couldn’t help but bend down and peck him, then found Qin’s Mom’s number in the contacts and called.

"Hello? What’s the matter?"

"Auntie, it’s me, He Fang."

"Oh... He Fang, what’s up?"

"Qin Guanglin drank too much at a classmate’s wedding. He’s sleeping out tonight and won’t be coming back, so don’t worry about him."

"At your place?" Qin’s Mom was forthright.

"...No." He Fang hesitated for a moment then quickly denied it, "He’s with a classmate."

"Oh~"

"Wife..." Qin Guanglin murmured on the side; He Fang quickly covered the phone and ran to the living room, "Just wanted to let you know, so you wouldn’t worry..."

"It’s fine, I’m not worried. What’s there to worry about?" Qin’s Mom chuckled, "You two just be careful... just be careful, that’s all. That’s it then."

"Uh... okay."

He Fang hung up the phone with a sigh of relief, returned to the bedroom, and sat by the bed, quietly staring at Qin Guanglin, her expression revealing a trace of thought.

A moment later.

"Teacher He... why are you biting me... are you a Vampire... "

"Shut up."
