Chapter 148: Chapter 146: What Then?

When two people have been together for a long time, they often become shamelessly comfortable with each other.

Qin Guanglin didn’t see anything wrong with it; his lips had been swollen by her before, so what was feeding her a meal?

After finishing breakfast, there was one last spoonful of porridge left in the bowl. Qin Guanglin wanted to reciprocate by feeding her a spoonful, but she refused.

"I don’t want it, it’s disgusting." He Fang changed her attitude, twisted her body, lay flat, and covered her head with a thin blanket.

"Take it or leave it."

Qin Guanglin swallowed the last spoonful, cleaned up the packaging trash and threw it away, then he took off his shoes and squeezed into bed without lifting the blanket. He wrapped He Fang up in a roll, hugged her tightly, and kissed her through the blanket on the spot where her face was, "You’re like a big scallion pancake."

"Then eat me." He Fang’s voice was muffled under the blanket, but laughter could be detected.

"Alright, let me see where to start..."

He stretched out his hand to pull back the blanket, revealing He Fang’s face, and chuckled, "I’ll start right here."

Her small face, full of collagen, looked adorable.

"Stop, I’m suffocating, let go a bit."

He Fang struggled out of the blanket, flipped over, and covered Qin Guanglin under her, "Now you’re the scallion pancake."

"Then eat me."

"I’m full, don’t wanna eat." She adjusted the blanket to cover him neatly, mounted him, and said, "Don’t move, scallion pancakes aren’t supposed to move."

"Okay, I won’t move."

"Right, be good."

He Fang, through the blanket, pressed her face against his and gently rubbed it for a while before whispering.

"Classmate Qin, I really want to eat you up, what should I do?"

Having the person you love cuddle and hug you every day can sometimes be a torture.

Suddenly, a line from Consort Jing on the TV came to her mind:

Do you know, in my palace, there are three hundred and twenty-six bricks, and I have touched each one countless times, with thirty-one of them already showing fine cracks.

Previously, when the two lived harmoniously and saw this, they didn’t understand it fully, thinking it was just boredom.

Now He Fang suddenly understood her; it was more than just boredom.

Women in the palace... even thinking about it feels sad.

"I smell bad, won’t taste good." Qin Guanglin felt a bit stifled and pulled his head out for air, raising his hand, "Should I let you taste my hand?"

"..."

"Hey, you really bit!" He frowned slightly but didn’t dare pull his hand away forcefully, just pushed her forehead with his other hand, "Quick, let go."

"Ugh, it really stinks." He Fang let go and rubbed her mouth against his clothes, "Move away, don’t make my blanket stink."

"Ugh~"

Qin Guanglin looked at the bite marks on his palm, took a breath, and complained, "Why so hard, can’t you be gentler?"

The fine bite marks were evenly placed on both the palm and back of his hand.

"Ah, really?" He Fang pulled his hand closer to look, immediately feeling sorry. She rubbed it gently, then kissed it, "There, the pig’s trotter doesn’t hurt anymore."

"I’ll bite you too."

"Nope." He Fang shielded her hands behind her back, denying him a chance for revenge.

"No way, you bit me first."

"You asked me to taste it."

"..."

Qin Guanglin unhappily pulled her into his arms and rubbed her vigorously, "I suspect you’re the real dog here."

"I belong to you."

"..."

Ah, he was pleased, all his anger dissipated instantly. He buried his head in He Fang’s neck and nuzzled it, laughing, "I belong to you too."

He Fang, tickled by his actions, giggled, and shrank her neck, "So, do you still want to bite me?"

"No, no."

"Let me give you a kiss and you can taste." She placed her hand by Qin Guanglin’s mouth, "Don’t bite, okay?"

"Mmm, really delightful."

Qin Guanglin kissed both the palm and back of her hand, then held it and played with it while looking at the ceiling. After a while, he suddenly asked, "Don’t you get bored living here like this?"

He was worried about He Fang being alone here and feeling stifled. Out of seven days a week, he could only come over to accompany her for the two days of the weekend; she was here alone the remaining five days.

"No way." He Fang pointed toward the desk, "There are novels, a computer, plus you come over after work too. How could I be bored? By the way, do you feel like you ’let you stay at home’ by doing this?"

"Uh..."

Qin Guanglin blinked; now that she’d mentioned it, it kind of felt that way.

He should have been working, but anytime he was free, he’d come over and they’d dally together. Wow...

"You think it’s pretty?" asked He Fang, curling up the corners of her mouth.

"It is quite pretty," Qin Guanglin nodded honestly, and kissed her forehead, "It would truly be ’let you stay at home’ if you let me stay the night..."

"Humph, don’t even think about it."

"I’m not going to do anything, just like that time you stayed at my place."

"That’s also not okay; you definitely have ulterior motives."

He Fang refused, "You should be content that I allow you up here to lie down; still thinking about sleeping over here? Why don’t you ask for the moon too?"

"I’m the very picture of integrity and you still don’t trust me."

Qin Guanglin just casually mentioned it without truly hoping she’d agree.

If she had agreed, he would actually hesitate, thinking there must be some trickery at play, possibly a plot to loophole him.

"Tomorrow I have a classmate getting married; I need to attend. Remember to eat well."

"Who is it?"

"You wouldn’t know them."

"Not telling me makes me even less likely to know."

"Yu Fei, know him?" Qin Guanglin asked.

"How would I know your classmate?"

"Then why ask?"

He held He Fang gently and swayed her, suggesting, "You see, he’s the same age and class as me, now he’s getting married..."

"And then?"

"No ’then.’ I’m just saying, people our age are getting married. The law allows men to marry at 22 and women at 20; we’re several years overdue, delaying the country..."

"And then?"

"Don’t you want to say something?" Qin Guanglin looked down at her.

"Um..." He Fang thought for a moment, "Do you want the ribs sweet and sour or garlic flavor?"

"..."

"If you want garlic, I could go marinate them now."

"Let’s go with sweet and sour; let’s hold each other a bit longer, we had breakfast so late, there’s no rush." Qin Guanglin sighed softly, deciding not to force the topic.

It had to be on her terms after all.

"Hehehe." He Fang snuggled into Qin Guanglin’s embrace, drawing circles with her finger on his back,

"After all, neither of us can escape each other, so what’s the hurry, right? It’d be so boring to get married early. In just a few years, we’d be living the old married couple life, and you might get tired of me. Then come the three-year itch, the seven-year itch, what’s the fun in that?"

"I don’t think I’ll feel itchy," stated Qin Guanglin confidently.

"What if I feel itchy?" threatened He Fang, "The more I see you, the more I might despise you, finding everything about you irritating."

"..."

Qin Guanglin was silent, then after a while he grabbed her hand, brought it to his mouth, and kissed it hard, "I’ll help you relieve the itch."

"You think you’re a scratcher?"

"If you want me to be, then I am."
