Sweet slice-of-life love story: Wife, Let's love again -
Chapter 132 - 131: Win-Win
Chapter 132: Chapter 131: Win-Win
They shouldn’t be messing around before marriage.
Qin’s Mom was very traditional at heart, and despite her many warnings and repeated advice, she was afraid the youngsters would get careless.
One night, when she woke up to use the bathroom, she unintentionally discovered that Qin Guanglin had mysteriously disappeared. She was troubled and didn’t sleep well for the rest of the night, finally deciding to act as if she knew nothing.
If the two of them dare to get together at home, they’d certainly be even more excessive during their days out. Who knows if they’ve done everything they should and shouldn’t... What’s done is done, but what else could be done?
"Be careful," Qin’s Mom vaguely reminded them.
She still hadn’t even met He Fang’s family. What if the two of them caused a problem, where would that leave their reputation?
It really was a headache.
"Mm-hmm, we’re very careful," said Qin Guanglin, thinking her concerns were the same as He Fang’s. "Don’t worry, He Fang doesn’t come over to eat every day."
He paused with his chopsticks, "Can you think of a way?"
"Think of a way for what?" Qin’s Mom wasn’t clear about what he was talking about.
"Find a reason to have He Fang come over every day," Qin Guanglin sighed.
Eating fried egg rice every day just wouldn’t do, she was too lazy living on her own, so he had to find a way to get her to come over for meals together.
"Just call her over," Qin’s Mom said offhandedly.
"If she would listen to calling, I wouldn’t have to ask you," Qin Guanglin responded.
"If she won’t listen to you, what can I do? I told her on Saturday to come over often for meals when she can," Qin’s Mom paused with her chopsticks and thought, "Hasn’t she started a job yet?"
"No, summer vacation is coming, and it seems like jobs are hard to come by," Qin Guanglin shook his head. "She wants to be a teacher, and even if she finds a job, starting right before a big holiday would mean no salary during the probation period."
"Then for her rent and things like that..."
"I’m afraid she might be short on cash, so I’m paying for everything like rent," Qin Guanglin admitted.
"Mmm, you’re doing the right thing," Qin’s Mom nodded with approval. "It’s not easy for one person to be out there on their own. You pay more attention and see if she’s lacking anything."
"Don’t worry about it."
Qin Guanglin was still contemplating how to coax He Fang over, but after a long time without any idea, he washed the dishes after the meal, wiped his hands, and prepared to leave, "I’m heading out."
"Mm-hmm," Qin’s Mom responded from the sofa, only turning to look after hearing the door close.
Now he really was hardly at home anymore, working all day, dashing out right after dinner, only returning when it was time to sleep.
It was truly like a case of the family-raised pig being lured away by a cabbage.
Arriving at He Fang’s place, Qin Guanglin opened the door and went into the bedroom, where He Fang had already finished eating dinner and was half-reclining on the bed watching TV, the dishes still unattended beside her.
"You’re so lazy," Qin Guanglin clicked his tongue, picked up the dishes and washed them in the kitchen. Then, with dry hands, he went back to snuggle up, "Aren’t you getting up?"
"Lie down and watch this episode with me," He Fang patted the empty space beside her, "then we go for a run."
"Running again?"
Kicking off his shoes, Qin Guanglin climbed up and wrapped his arms around her, taking a deep breath, "Is it okay if we don’t run?"
"Nope."
"Fine." He fidgeted a little until he found a comfortable position, then pulled He Fang close, "What are we watching?"
"Secret No. 9, it has some really wild plot twists."
After saying that, He Fang suddenly slapped his thigh, "Shoot, I should’ve saved it to watch with you, I’m already on the third season."
"No big deal, I usually don’t watch this stuff anyways," Qin Guanglin was unconcerned, finding the bland dialogue on the TV screen uninteresting.
"You’ll like it once you watch it. An episode is only about twenty minutes anyway. When we have time, I’ll watch it again with you."
"Okay."
Qin Guanglin hugged her and kissed her, "I like whatever you like."
His affection wasn’t for the TV; just holding her close and being still together made anything enjoyable.
"Pay attention to the TV." He Fang wiped her cheek and stopped talking.
On the screen, four people were fighting to pay the bill. They wrestled over it for quite a while without anyone succeeding, and even the waiter was impressed, offering to just waive their bill. Yet, still two of them disagreed, suggesting a duel by sticking knives between fingers to decide who gets to pay...
What a bizarre plot.
After watching for a while, Qin Guanglin found it boring and his hand began to wander on her waist.
They say a woman’s waist should not be touched lightly; it’s like a piece with high access permission that throws errors when handled carelessly. Qin Guanglin didn’t know if his permission level had been upgraded or if He Fang was too absorbed in the show, but his clumsy gestures did not provoke any errors.
Unfortunately, He Fang’s nightgown was one piece, so he could only rub over the fabric. After a moment, he grew bolder and slowly moved his hand upward...
"Slap!"
He Fang smacked the back of his hand with a sharp crack, "Behave."
"..."
It seemed his access was limited to the waist.
Qin Guanglin stayed quiet for a while, and the characters on the computer screen were still playing the knife game, a plot that seemed rather dumb.
"Do your legs still feel sore? Let me massage them again." He sat up, looking at He Fang with concern, "You still need to go for a run later; it’d be bad if you couldn’t."
"..." He Fang gave him a look that was half exasperated, half disdainful, "Go ahead, you’re like someone with ADD."
"I just don’t want you to get tired." Qin Guanglin, with permission granted, happily pulled her leg over to massage, "Is this pressure okay?"
Labor brings joy, and loving labor means loving life. Qin Guanglin was someone who loved life, so he was very happy.
"You can put more strength into it, this isn’t a massage, it’s more like caressing."
"Oh... how about now?" Qin Guanglin humbly accepted the criticism and improved his massage technique.
"Now it’s better, apply a bit more force."
He Fang leaned back against the headboard, comfortably watching TV and enjoying the leg massage service, "Don’t just massage that one, do the other one too."
Being bossed around seemed quite nice. Although he had ulterior motives, the pleasure was genuine.
With proper training, she thought, she could enjoy this luxury in the future.
Both harboring their own little schemes, they kept silent, with only the English dialogue from the computer filling the room.
On the screen, the waiter was attempting to break up the fight. The two who were arguing over the knife game wouldn’t stop. Suddenly, with a wave of the knife, the attractive female waiter’s neck started to spurt blood.
"Ah..." He Fang exclaimed softly.
"What the heck?!" Qin Guanglin looked up to see the scene and was startled, "That’s too sad for the waiter, isn’t it?"
Near closing time, they encountered four customers. While waiting for them to finish eating, the waiter had already cleaned up. She was ready to leave after settling the bill, but those four lunatics insisted on paying and argued for over ten minutes. They wouldn’t accept a free meal and kept on arguing to reach a result, and in the process, they ended up killing the waiter...
"Is this what you call good?" Qin Guanglin, while massaging...no, while caressing her soft leg, looked at He Fang with skepticism.
With so many laughable flaws, he didn’t even know where to start.
"Just keep watching," He Fang, too lazy to explain that the real essence of the drama came in the final two minutes, kicked her legs dissatisfiedly, "Put some strength into it."
"Oh."
