Chapter 931: Chapter 931: Initiate Provocation

"Do you want to blend in with them as soon as possible?" An Hao stopped writing and asked Lei Linxuan.

"No, I was just asking."

"When you’re new to a place, don’t be in a hurry to blend in. First, observe and then decide," An Hao said.

"Hmm."

An Hao had completed eighty percent of her notes when she was about to take a break, she heard a commotion outside the door.

As soon as she stepped out, she ran into the head nurse: "We’ve admitted two new patients who need surgery. Director Yan has asked you all to come and observe."

"Thank you, head nurse!" After thanking her, An Hao stood at the door and called out before rushing out ahead of Lei Linxuan.

The interns from the break room followed suit, with Ruan Fangfang deliberately walking at the end.

Passing by An Hao’s desk, she glanced at An Hao’s notebook and flipped to the page with the most detailed case notes.

She raised her hand and flicked it.

A ripping sound was heard as she tore that page out.

Later, she crumpled the paper into a ball and discarded it in the bathroom as she passed by.

Two surgeries were happening at the same time, and An Hao followed the one led by Yan Ye.

This surgery was quite challenging. The patient on the operating table was a construction worker who had fallen from a high place when building a structure and was impaled through the chest by a stick on the ground.

It was very close to the heart.

The separation process was prone to danger.

The surgery took a long time, and An Hao only returned to the break room after her own operation had ended.

By the time she and Lei Linxuan came back, the interns from the other surgery were already eating.

"What would you like for lunch, An Hao? How about we go for noodles?" Lei Linxuan asked An Hao.

"Sure," An Hao agreed. When she returned to her desk to pack her things, she suddenly discovered that a page had been torn from her notebook.

And that page was the one she had spent the most time organizing.

Clearly, someone had started targeting her on her first day.

Who was targeting her, was not yet clear.

"Who touched my things?" An Hao turned around and asked the eating interns.

Everyone looked at each other and then shook their heads.

"Does nobody know?" An Hao walked over with her notebook, the page torn out, "I spent all morning organizing this, and now you see, it’s obviously been torn out on purpose."

"We said we don’t know. Why are you still asking us?"

"Exactly."

"You make it sound like we’re the ones who tore it."

Lei Linxuan looked at the other doctors, all of them showing an exclusionary attitude, and was worried that An Hao would get into an argument with them.

So she stepped forward and gently tugged at An Hao’s sleeve, "Let it go, if needs be, just rewrite it. We’re all interning in the same department, it’d look bad to fall out."

Her notebook contents had been blatantly torn out; obviously, someone had thrown down the gauntlet at her.

It’s not like she could act as if nothing had happened just by keeping the peace this time.

If someone was really out to get her, she wouldn’t have time to avoid it.

"You go buy the food first, get me a portion too," An Hao knew that Lei Linxuan didn’t want trouble, and she didn’t want to involve her in this either.

"Alright then." Lei Linxuan was still concerned as she left and quietly said to her, "Just restrain yourself, you really don’t want to be on bad terms on your first day."

Was it her who wanted this discord?

It made her sound like a combative rooster.
