Chapter 842: Teach Her a Lesson
Chapter 842: Chapter 842: Teach Her a Lesson
When Qin Jian and An Hao had just come out from Zhang Guifang’s house, she followed them out as well.
She wanted to hear what this husband and wife were going to say.
Seeing the two enter the door, Xin Ni quietly approached and pressed her ear against the door to eavesdrop on their conversation.
Listening to them, it seemed that An Hao did not trust this Cheng Yu.
What in the world was going on here?
Xin Ni was engrossed in the conversation inside when she suddenly heard footsteps heading towards the door, and in her panic, she turned and walked away.
But she accidentally touched the blister on her right hand, and she couldn’t help crying out in pain.
An Hao had originally gone to the door to change shoes, but then she heard some noise at the doorway.
She quickly opened the door to check the situation.
And then she saw Xin Ni squatting at the door eavesdropping.
"What are you doing?" An Hao looked down at her, furrowing her brow, and asked, "Are you deliberately listening in on our conversation?"
"No, not at all, you misunderstood," Xin Ni adamantly denied.
An Hao smiled slightly and said to her, "It’s fine, even if you were eavesdropping, it doesn’t matter. If you want to listen, just come in openly. Why bother pressing against the door?"
"Really, can I come in and listen?" Xin Ni was somewhat surprised by An Hao’s attitude.
"Of course you can! Come on, come in!" An Hao said as she opened the door wider.
Xin Ni was delighted and quickly got up to walk inside.
As soon as she stepped one foot over the threshold, she saw An Hao’s gaze turn cold, and with a bang, the door was shut.
Xin Ni couldn’t dodge in time and her forehead hit the door heavily, immediately swelling up into a large bump.
Damn it!
Inwardly she cursed An Hao fiercely. This young woman had too many tricks up her sleeve.
Today she had been careless, and she acknowledged her bad luck!
The hardship she suffered today would surely be reclaimed from An Hao, one by one.
After resting for two days, An Hao returned to the clinic in the town.
She and Cheng Yu began to work, as Yan Ye and a few other fellow apprentices took a break.
As the two met early in the morning, the customary smile on Cheng Yu’s face vanished, and she did not show An Hao any pleasantness.
Originally their preparations were meant to be next to each other, but when An Hao sat down,
she realized that someone else had already taken the spot next to her.
It didn’t matter to her, she didn’t want to see Cheng Yu anyway, the farther away the better.
The colleague sitting next to her noticed something was off between the two and leaned over to ask An Hao, "Did you have a falling out with Teacher Cheng? I feel like both of you are a bit off today!"
An Hao smiled and said lightly, "No, it’s just that our paths do not align, that’s all."
Seeing that An Hao didn’t seem as cheerful as usual, the colleague next to her tactfully closed her mouth.
During the morning hours, several of them conducted free consultations.
The senior brothers and sisters present had all done internships in big hospitals for one or two years, so dealing with minor illnesses was not a problem.
For small ailments such as headaches and fevers, their prescriptions were mostly similar.
If there was any serious heart-related illness, they dared not make decisions on their own and would wait for Yan Ye to come and decide.
An Hao had also done internships for a year or two, but she was mostly in the operating room.
The main purpose of her visit this time was to learn, so she didn’t usually prescribe any medication, just quietly sat beside her senior brothers and sisters watching them treat patients.
In the evening, when it was time to leave work, a patient suddenly arrived at the clinic. His face was ashen, and he was having difficulty breathing, and was immediately brought into the consultation room.
