Chapter 632: Chapter 632 Cheng Yue, You Damn It
"You think too highly of yourself," An Hao’s mouth curved into a cold smirk, "You’re not worth my tears."
She was just here to eat noodles and reminisce about the little things with Qin Jian—that’s all.
There were too many memories of her and Qin Jian in this little noodle shop. Alone tonight, as she ate her noodles and breathed in the familiar scent, she couldn’t help thinking of Qin Jian.
Longing tasted bitter. She missed him dearly, yet they lived worlds apart—meeting only these two hurried times a year, coming and going in a rush.
Moreover, this time he was off on a disaster rescue mission.
She wondered how he was doing right now.
Tears streamed down An Hao’s face as she was immersed in her sad emotions. Right then, Cheng Yue, that guy, came in too.
She kept her head down, trying to compose her feelings.
Who would have thought this guy would have the audacity to try and lift her chin with his hand!
If Qin Jian were here, Cheng Yue wouldn’t have the chance to be so presumptuous in front of her.
"Junior Sister, can’t you say something nice to me? Do you know how much your words hurt?" Cheng Yue clutched at his heart, wearing a wounded expression on his face.
"An Hao, think about it! If you make friends with our Master Cheng, you’ll never regret it," Zhang Chaoqian joined in to speak for Cheng Yue.
"I regret it right now," An Hao placed her chopsticks on the unfinished noodles, pressed the noodle money under the bowl, and stood up, "I should not have come here for noodles tonight."
Without eating noodles, she wouldn’t have encountered such an off-putting guy.
An Hao picked up her backpack and walked out of the noodle shop.
At that moment, it started to drizzle unexpectedly, pattering down quite fiercely.
If she went back now, she’d be drenched. Yet, she’d rather be rained on than spend another minute under the same roof as Cheng Yue.
So, clenching her teeth, she hugged her backpack tightly and rushed into the rain.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk!" Zhang Chaoqian shook his head in regret as he watched the scene unfold, "Cheng Yue, look how much the girl despises you, preferring to be drenched like a drowned rat rather than wait for the rain to lighten up before leaving."
"Shut up!" Cheng Yue immediately got up, slung his backpack over his neck, and dashed outside.
"Hey, Cheng Yue! Where are you going?" Zhang Chaoqian hurriedly called out as the noodles were served, "The noodles are here; eat before you go!"
"I’m not eating! You eat by yourself!" Cheng Yue tossed back a reply, unlocked his bicycle, and started pedaling away in the rain.
Zhang Chaoqian, looking at the two big bowls of beef noodles in front of him, cursed in frustration, "Damn it, Cheng Yue! Eating two bowls is going to burst my stomach!"
The owner of the noodle shop sat behind the counter, grinning from ear to ear as he watched the scene unfold, his eyes nearly crinkling into crescents.
Zhang Chaoqian looked at him and asked in a negotiating tone, "Boss, can I return one bowl?"
"Of course not!" the noodle shop owner quickly shook his head, "Once noodles are cooked, how can you return them?"
Zhang Chaoqian silently cursed Cheng Yue’s ancestors once more, and then started to eat his noodles.
The rain got heavier, and An Hao walked faster.
Cheng Yue followed her shamelessly on his bike, pestering her incessantly, "Come on, Junior Sister! Let me take you back! The rain is too heavy; you’ll get soaked!"
"No need!" An Hao refused Cheng Yue for the tenth time.
This guy was too full of himself; she couldn’t give him the slightest bit of courtesy.
After this refusal, An Hao suddenly realized that Cheng Yue had gone quiet. When she turned her head and saw the look in his eyes, she was so angry that she wanted to pull him off the bike and give him a good
