"We didn’t talk much, just about the food. I suggested to him that they should purchase more fresh vegetables. He said the prices are high and not profitable. It’s just that awkward time of year between seasons, but in a little more than half a month to a month, fresh vegetables will be fully on the market. Then it’ll get much better."

Upon hearing Gu Shuangshuang say this, a light bulb went off in An Hao’s mind, and she suddenly remembered something.

"Of course. My family grows greenhouse vegetables. If you have some time, why not come with me and take a look around our village?"

The head chef eagerly rubbed his hands together: "That’s great! Really great! Let me report back to the boss, and we’ll set a time to visit your vegetable greenhouse."

"Sure, sure, sure!" the head chef agreed readily.

In the evening, Gu Shuangshuang followed An Hao home for the weekend.

The house hadn’t been this lively since Qin Jian left; Gu Shuangshuang’s arrival made the old couple very happy, and they had a wonderful dinner.

After dinner, An Hao chatted with Zhang Yun, while Gu Shuangshuang, bored out of her mind, joined Ning Chief in studying and playing a couple of rounds of chess.

The scene was filled with joy!

It was getting late, and Zhang Yun urged the two girls to get to bed quickly.

After a bath, Gu Shuangshuang, feeling refreshed, lay down beside An Hao: "This is so comfortable! Your bed is a hundred times better than the dorm’s. Aiya, what a pity! Staff Officer Qin won’t get to experience this, he must be suffering in the harsh Northwest weather right now! Not only does he miss out on this comfortable big bed, he can’t even touch his little wife. I wonder if Staff Officer Qin will be frustrated to the point of having problems?"

"You’re still angry?" An Hao turned towards her, and asked seriously, "Shuangshuang, tell me, have you fallen for Commander Tian?"

"Not at all!" Gu Shuangshuang denied emphatically.

"Yeah right!" An Hao glared at her, "We’ve been together for so long, do you think I don’t understand your feelings? If you like him, just confess to him."
