After sending off his father-in-law and An Ping, the world finally became quiet, and it was getting late; Qin Jian took off his clothes and returned to the kang bed.

The light in the room went out, and the world turned silent.

Qin Jian held An Hao’s soft body in his arms, feeling itchy in his heart and unable to calm down.

Early the next day, Qin Jian got up early; today, he was taking Qin Ru Hai to the city to check the extent of his illness.

He dressed and was ready to leave; seeing An Hao sleeping sweetly in the quilt, he couldn’t bear to wake her, so he gently kissed her forehead, then opened the door and walked out.

He greeted An Shuchao and went straight to the Qin Family.

Qin Ru Hai was already squatting at the door waiting for him.

The two took a ride to the town, finally arriving at the hospital early in the morning.

It was the last day before the New Year that the hospital was open, and Qin Jian, with Qin Ru Hai, registered and began the medical examination.

After a preliminary examination, the doctor felt it was very likely tuberculosis but, fortunately, it was caught early, and treatment could be effective, so the doctor prescribed some medicine for Qin Ru Hai, instructing him to live in a separate room, often wear a mask, and avoid spreading germs.

After the visit, Qin Ru Hai’s mental pressure lightened a lot, and his mood became much better.

The two had a meal in the city and then took the ride back to the village.

Qin Jian had just gotten married and had many things to take care of. Tomorrow was the day to visit home, and there would surely be a lot of work to do with the feast at home.

No sooner had they returned to the village by car than upon entering the house, to their surprise, they saw that Qin Fen had returned for the New Year.

Qin Jian and Qin Fen hardly saw each other once a year; this meeting made the two brothers very happy, especially Qin Fen. His dream had always been to join the military, but since he didn’t qualify, he had gone to work instead.

After embracing each other for a while, Qin Fen learned of Qin Ru Hai’s condition, and seeing that it was not a big issue and curable, he felt relieved.

Then, Qin Fen said to Qin Jian, "Brother, I heard you got married! I’m happy for you! I heard the sister-in-law is very pretty, when will I be able to meet her?"

Qin Jian slapped his increasingly strong shoulder, "Tomorrow is our day to visit home. It’s a good opportunity for you to see her then."

"Okay," Qin Fen nodded happily in agreement.

He had barely met An Hao and felt nervous about the meeting tomorrow.
