Chapter 455: Chapter 455: I Want You to Go Through the Cornfield

Qin Ru Hai also got down from the "kang" bed, and the whole family sat together to think of a solution.

The Song Family’s attitude was clear, they didn’t want Qin Feng at all. They despised her for being too lazy and too greedy, and said she could be easily lured away by the slightest prospect of gain.

What’s the use of marrying such a daughter-in-law?

Not only would she not be able to help around the house, but they would also have to constantly be on guard against her messing around outside the home.

The Song Family couldn’t afford to lose face like that!

After hearing about the incident from Qin Feng, the usually calm and composed Qin Jian lost his temper with her: "Qin Feng, if you don’t change your lazy and greedy ways, you’re going to suffer a great loss in the future!"

"Brother, I... I know I was wrong." Qin Feng now regretted everything deeply.

"Qin Feng, haven’t you always been against marrying Song Fei? Why have you changed your mind now?" An Hao interjected.

Qin Feng bowed her head and stuttered as she recounted yesterday’s events.

After she returned home yesterday, she vomited, and Li Junping noticed that she was different from before and pressed her for answers.

Afterwards, she took her to the hospital for a check-up, where the doctor said that Qin Feng hadn’t properly recuperated from her last miscarriage, making this pregnancy extremely dangerous. If she were to miscarry this child as well, it was very likely to become habitual, possibly rendering her unable to have children ever again.

Frightened, Qin Feng decided to settle and marry Song Fei after all.

But before she could go, she heard on the street that Song Fei had arranged another marriage.

Qin Feng felt instantly played; what did Song Fei take her for?

That led to what came next, with Li Junping taking a club to the Song Family to create a scene.

"If it really comes to it, I’ll make a trip to the Song Family," Qin Jian stood up, "We need to have a talk about how to handle this situation going forward."

With Qin Jian’s return, the family finally had a pillar of support, and the Qin Family’s mood was no longer so gloomy.

Seeing Qin Jian ready to go, An Hao felt somewhat worried.

Her man was outstanding on the battlefield and in training, but when it came to dealing with household disputes, he might not be cut out for it.

Besides, he was not much for talking, and she feared he might be talked down by the other party when he got there.

"Alright. Then let’s go together," she said.

After leaving the house, the two of them headed straight for the Zhao Family, not anticipating that they would run into the village chief’s son, Wang Er the fool.

The moment Wang Er the fool saw An Hao, he became as excited as could be: "An Hao! An Hao! I’ve finally found you... Where have you been? I’ve missed you so much!"

As he spoke, he spread his arms and lunged towards An Hao: "I want a kiss, I want a hug, I want to go through the cornfields with you!"

Wang Er the fool charged over so bluntly that An Hao jumped in shock; Qin Jian quickly stepped in to block him. With a sharp glare, he made Wang Er the fool retreat in fear.

"You’re too fierce... scared... you’re too frightening..." Wang Genqiang stammered, his eyes pleading with An Hao for help.

"Wang Genqiang, don’t be afraid, Qin Jian won’t hurt you. You better leave now," An Hao said softly as she came out from behind Qin Jian and spoke to Wang Er the fool kindly.

"An Hao... I just like... without you I can’t live," Wang Er the fool blurted out, not knowing why he was becoming more and more infatuated and timid.

"Stop talking nonsense, go home! Your mother will worry if she finds out you’re missing."

Wang Er the fool chuckled, "With An Hao... my mother would be happy... I just want to go through the cornfields with you... I’m a good boy, I won’t be like Song Fei... I won’t make you cry in pain... I won’t make you suffer that much... not forcibly... right..."

From Wang Er the fool’s words, An Hao picked up on a clue.
