Chapter 413 Qin Jian is My Fiancé

Chapter 413: Chapter 413 Qin Jian is My Fiancé

"I’m full! Take your time, Mr. Yan," An Hao put down her chopsticks and quietly waited for him.

Yan Ye was starving today.

This was his first proper meal of the whole day.

He had been performing surgeries all day, hadn’t had a chance to take a bite of anything, and still had to teach an anatomy class to the students in the evening.

After the class, he finally had some time to eat something.

After finishing a bowl of noodles, he looked up at the noodle shop’s window and saw that the noodle chefs had already finished for the day.

He wasn’t full yet.

An Hao saw his look of lingering hunger and tentatively asked, "Mr. Yan, are you still hungry?"

"Indeed I am!" Yan Ye patted his stomach, feeling like something was still missing.

"How about this, I have some food in my dorm; I can bring some down for you later."

"No need," Yan Ye refused, looking at the neat half bowl of noodles in An Hao’s bowl and saying, "Since you’re not eating, just give the noodles to me."

With that, she picked up her chopsticks and started picking at the noodles to eat.

"Mr. Yan, don’t eat that! I’ve got some homemade peanut dip and amber walnuts in my dorm that are quite filling. I could give you..."

An Hao hadn’t finished speaking when she saw Yan Ye start voraciously eating her leftover noodles.

"No need, don’t waste food!" he said, finishing off the half bowl of noodles.

After putting down his chopsticks, he felt very satisfied, his stomach finally filled after being empty all day, and then he looked at An Hao, feeling extremely embarrassed.

A lovely little face flushed with two dabs of rouge.

A sudden leap in Yan Ye’s heart made his breathing erratic for a few beats.

This girl really was special; he greatly admired her smart mind and her calm demeanor at critical moments.

As Yan Ye was thinking this, he suddenly remembered encountering Gu Shuangshuang on the way out of the school, who seemed to have said that Qin Jian was waiting for her.

At that moment, he had wanted to ask An Hao, but she interrupted him and made him forget.

Now, he remembered, so he had to ask about it.

"An Hao."

"Hmm?"

"What is your relationship with Qin Jian? Gu Shuangshuang said he was always waiting for you, what does that mean? Why would he always wait for you?"

"Qin Jian?" An Hao originally didn’t plan to disclose her relationship with Qin Jian, but then she thought that even Gu Shuangshuang knew about it.

Sooner or later, everyone would know.

There’s no wall in this world that doesn’t have ears!

Since Qin Jian always introduced her openly, without minding that others knew of her existence, why should she care? There was no need to hide it; she might as well just say it outright!

"Qin Jian is my betrothed fiancé!" An Hao said straightforwardly.

A flash of surprise crossed the depths of Yan Ye’s eyes, then it slid into disappointment.

"Mr. Yan? What’s wrong?" The change in his expression was clearly caught by An Hao, which left her very puzzled.

Yan Ye lowered his eyelids and smiled, then when he lifted his head, his eyes were calm and placid: "What a pity."

"What’s a pity?" An Hao asked.

"A pity... that you’re so young and already betrothed," Yan Ye said after a pause, "But Qin Jian is an excellent man. You have good taste!"

"Do you know him?"

"Sort of." After saying that, Yan Ye ate the last bite of the noodles, then put down his chopsticks.

"Oh." An Hao nodded, remembering the attitude of Guan Kexin today. She felt it was very necessary to give Yan Ye a heads up to avoid misunderstandings in the future.
