"You two start bickering as soon as you meet. Let’s go quickly, it’s getting late," Zhang Yun couldn’t help but urge them to leave and repeatedly reminded Yan Huan, "You must take good care of An Hao!"

"Don’t worry, Auntie! I’ll make sure to bring your family of three back safe and sound," Yan Huan assured her, patting her chest.

An Hao, holding the form, went to the ultrasound room. Since it wasn’t busy this time, she decided to queue up and told Yan Huan to go directly to the emergency department to find Cheng Yue, saying she would wait for her there.

Yan Huan agreed, feeling she and Cheng Yue needed another talk, to see if there was any chance of turning Cheng Yue’s thoughts around. Preferable to the passive acceptance of an ordinary girl, she liked to take the initiative.

"He wasn’t there, went out on an emergency," Yan Huan said with a hint of regret, "I won’t wait for him today. We’ll talk next time. Let’s go, let’s head home."

The two women went down a floor, and An Hao felt the urge to urinate, so she told Yan Huan she was going to the restroom.

Just as she reached the restroom at the end of the corridor, a man with his face well covered emerged from the men’s room and bumped into An Hao, causing her to stagger.

But the man didn’t offer a single word of apology and kept his head down, hurrying to leave.

"Hey, do you have no manners? Bumping into someone without even saying sorry," An Hao said indignantly.

Hearing her voice, the man stopped, turned back, and removed the headscarf covering his head to reveal his face.
