Chapter 1186: Chapter 1186: Completely Doomed

"Shanshan! Wait up!" An Ping’s voice came from behind.

Instead of turning around, Niu Shanshan quickened her pace and strode away.

An Ping ran a few steps, caught up to Niu Shanshan, and grabbed her wrist: "I need to talk to you."

"Let go of me! We have nothing to talk about anymore!" Niu Shanshan angrily shook off An Ping’s hand, glowering at him with fury, "We’re done! You go your way, I’ll go mine; we don’t know each other anymore!"

An Ping looked at Niu Shanshan’s face, feeling like he had a heavy stone pressing on his heart: "Is what my sister said true?"

Niu Shanshan looked at An Ping for a long while, then said angrily, "Whether what your sister said is true or not, the point is you actually believed it, didn’t you? If you don’t trust me, why bother coming to find me?"

"I want to hear from you, why would you do this! Am I really just a long-term meal ticket for you?" An Ping yelled angrily.

"What’s the point?" Niu Shanshan knew An Ping had believed his sister’s words. He hadn’t come to reconcile with her but to question her.

"Enough with the nonsense! Tell me!"

"You want to know?" Niu Shanshan laughed scornfully, "Well, I’m not telling you. You can guess for yourself! And if you don’t trust me, don’t even dream of getting the truth out of my mouth!"

"Why won’t you tell me? How can you bear to see me in so much pain? Tell me, did you ever actually like me?" An Ping persisted in asking.

"Does it matter? You don’t trust me already, the wedding’s off, and now you’re asking if I ever liked you. What’s the damn point." Niu Shanshan spat fiercely, "It’s over between us, and there’s nothing left to say. You go your way, I’ll go mine."

"You can’t keep this from me! What I care about is whose child you are carrying! Is it your cousin’s? Is it? Did you marry me just to find sustenance for yourself and the child?" An Ping shouted loudly.

"Shut up!" Niu Shanshan, noticing that the neighbors had started to peek over, angrily threw a final remark at An Ping, "Think whatever you want! It’s completely over between us!"

With those words, she strode towards her house, not caring that she was pregnant.

An Ping, with a belly full of anger, turned and headed home; upon entering the yard, he began to lose his temper.

The farm tools in the yard became the target of his venting, clanging around. It was April with the peach blossoms in full bloom, which also suffered due to An Ping’s terrible mood.

He kicked and stomped, letting out all the sinister energy and anger within him.

The commotion was so great that it roused everyone at home. An Shuchao hurried out of the house to find the yard in a state of chaos, almost as if it had been ransacked by Japanese raiders.

"Ancestor! Are you trying to tear apart my house?"

An Ping paid him no attention, rampaging through the yard like a wild beast.

Although An Hao was lying in bed and hardly resting well, she simply got up and, along with Qin Jian, pushed open the door and stepped out.

"Have you gone mad, An Ping?" An Hao couldn’t believe her eyes.

"I might as well be insane!" An Ping, thumping his chest, eyes red, head covered in sweat, shouted, "I’ve been deceived! Sister, I’m furious! I’m angry, I... I feel like hitting someone now!"
