"I’m fine. Just feeling a bit dizzy," An Hao said.

"Sit down, I’ll check your blood pressure."

"Okay."

Yan Ye conducted a simple examination of An Hao and then checked her blood pressure, "Your blood pressure is low! Have you been overworking yourself recently? Your complexion seems a bit pale, and you look somewhat anemic. Later, you can go downstairs for a blood test. I suspect you don’t have anything serious."

"Okay." An Hao nodded, "Then I’ll be going first."

"Get a good nap at noon, we have a big surgery in the afternoon! I’ll take you to the lab. I hope you can withstand it," Yan Ye said with concern.

"Don’t worry. Even if I’m exhausted, I’ll hang in there," An Hao playfully winked.

"Right. Give Qin Jian a call first to tell him you might be home late tonight. I don’t want your household’s ’jealous jar’ to think I’m taking advantage of my position to spend the evening taking you home," Yan Ye joked.

"Hahaha! The big jealous jar! That’s quite the image!" An Hao laughed heartily before picking up the phone to inform Qin Jian.

In the afternoon, Yan Ye led An Hao through two major surgeries.

It lasted for eight hours.

By the time the surgeries were over, it was already past nine o’clock in the evening.

As soon as they stepped off the operating table, several doctors who participated in the surgery were exhausted and hurried to change clothes and head home.

Normally resilient, An Hao felt extremely tired today.

As soon as she entered the changing room, she was so tired that she sat down on the floor, unable to move.

"Very tired?" Yan Ye sat down next to her.

"Yeah," An Hao nodded weakly, "Maybe it’s because I rested over a holiday! This holiday I rarely read or studied, nor did I do any physical work! It was all about eating, drinking, and having fun, which made me slack off! Suddenly getting tense, I might be a bit unaccustomed!"

"But these two surgeries really did drain energy! I feel worn out today too." Both surgeries had taken a toll on him as well.

"Let’s rest a bit before leaving," An Hao said, then closed her eyes and dozed off.

Yan Ye waited for her to rest, checking the time, and after about an hour, he gently tapped her.

An Hao opened her sleepy eyes and looked at the clock on the wall, which showed it was already ten o’clock at night.

"Let’s go, Teacher Yan!"

The teacher and student left the changing room one after the other, heading toward the cardiology department’s rest area.

The two had just left.

The cleaning staff came down and, seeing Ma Mei doing her nighttime rounds, said, "It really isn’t easy being doctors! Director Yan and your intern just came down. Both looked utterly exhausted."

"Just came down?" Ma Mei heard this.

"Yes!" the cleaner replied while mopping and slowly drifting away.

The surgeries ended at nine, yet these two came down from upstairs at ten! A whole entire hour later!

Who knows what they were doing upstairs in that hour!

Ma Mei thought quietly to herself, hoping to catch them red-handed.

If she caught them, she would definitely kick An Hao out of the department!

As Yan Ye and An Hao walked out together, they saw Qin Jian standing at the hospital entrance, behind him a military jeep.

"Qin Jian, when did you get here?" Seeing him, An Hao was surprised.

Beyond the surprise, her heart was filled with joy.
