Chapter 1074: Chapter 1074: Ruckus in the Ward

Once she could no longer pick up a scalpel with her right hand, her life would have essentially been ruined.

What a vicious mindset!

She forcibly restrained the urge to march in and slap the shameless teacher and student, knocked heavily on the door twice, placed the medical record on the ground, and walked away.

Ma Mei heard the knock and quickly gestured to Ruan Fangfang to be silent, then shouted, "Come in."

But after waiting for a long time, no one came in.

She signaled Ruan Fangfang to open the door, only to find that the medical record had been put on the floor by Lei Linxuan.

"This Lei Linxuan! Doesn’t even have the courage to enter. What a coward." She found it extremely amusing to remember how Lei Linxuan couldn’t lift his head after being scolded by her.

An Hao went back to her station and continued to organize the medical records, but she couldn’t get a single word down.

Ruan Fangfang and Ma Mei, she had two more people to watch out for now.

After a while, An Hao calmed down quite a bit and was just about to start working when she heard a commotion coming from the ward—it seemed like a patient and nurse were arguing.

An Hao and Lei Linxuan both ran over to see what was going on.

As they approached the doorway, they saw a boy of about fifteen or sixteen years old throwing a tantrum on the hospital bed: "I don’t want IVs! I don’t want to lie here, let me out! Let me go home!"

The nurse urgently tried to persuade him, "Your current condition doesn’t allow you to go home. Just hold on for a few more days. Our specialist will operate on you, and after some rest at home, you’ll be able to continue with your soccer games."

"You’re lying! I’ve heard people say that even after surgery, I won’t be able to do any strenuous exercise ever again." The boy covered his face and wept bitterly, evoking pity from everyone in the ward.

"That’s not true! Don’t think too much about it now. The most important thing is to listen to the doctor and cooperate with the treatment. Come on, let me give you an IV." The nurse spoke gently.

Upon hearing this, the boy calmed down and quietly watched the nurse.

An Hao and Lei Linxuan breathed a sigh of relief and turned to return to the doctor’s office.

The nurse got ready, about to insert the needle into the boy’s arm, but unexpectedly, before it could touch him, she received a fierce slap from the boy.

The sudden change left the nurse in shock.

She held her sore face and stared at the boy in astonishment: "What are you doing?"

"How does it feel? Do you feel deceived? Does it hurt? Is it hard to bear?" The boy looked at the nurse’s tears streaming down, filled with a sense of satisfaction. He raised his hand and forcefully knocked down the tray that was beside the hospital bed, "Get lost! I don’t need your kind lies to deceive me."

The IV drip, medicine bottles, and shards of glass scattered all over the floor, with the medicine spilling wildly.

The nurse, having been struck for no reason and humiliated, ran out of the ward while holding her face in distress.

The other patients in the ward pointed at the boy, "How can you be so unreasonable? You’re ill; why take it out on the nurse?"

"And to think we actually felt sorry for you. Now we see that you’re not worth any sympathy at all!"

"Get lost! All of you, get lost!" The boy threw the bedding off the bed, venting his anger recklessly, causing a ruckus in the ward for a while.

Ruan Fangfang happened to pass by the nurse station, saw the nurse who had been hit, and went over to ask what was going on.
