Surviving The Fourth Calamity
Chapter 462 - 261 Brilliant Colors Everywhere, the Appearance of a Demi-God Artifact!

Chapter 462: Chapter 261 Brilliant Colors Everywhere, the Appearance of a Demi-God Artifact!

Adrian was busily working in the now peaceful Lord’s Mansion until he was startled by the magnificent clouds above Central City.

He recognized at a glance that it was the manifestation of the laws of a Demi-God Artifact.

First, he glanced in the direction of the Mage Association outside the city, noting their complete lack of response, before he dared to confirm that it was indeed Hill.

How much time had passed for Hill to actually be able to craft a Demi-God Artifact?

Adrian returned to the study on the top floor and couldn’t help but contact Fran again, "Teacher, Hill has become very powerful! This is his first Demi-God Artifact, but it won’t be the last!

"At such a glorious time, don’t you plan to see it with your own eyes?"

There was silence on the other end for a few minutes, then the voice of Fran’s Tower Spirit Diamant came through, "The master has left."

Adrian revealed a carefree smile.

He knew his teacher wasn’t afraid of the Half-Elf Queen but rather, he didn’t want to completely fall out with her in front of Hill.

Hill’s parents were already astonishingly impressive beings, and Fran always worried that Hill would feel uncomfortable if his maternal grandparents became completely estranged.

The teacher was really underestimating his own grandson.

Underneath Hill’s gentle and affable exterior was an exceedingly calm heart.

His politeness and warmth towards others were a matter of upbringing, but he never took things personally.

Although warm and friendly, he could let go very quickly, and once he let go, he would never look back.

So, it would be better for Fran to tear away all pretenses of peace with that lady, to save Hill from always feeling his maternal grandfather still had lingering feelings and being lenient towards Half-Elves because of it.

Adrian leaned against the study’s window, watching the increasingly distinct manifestations of the laws in the sky, and started to smile proudly.

Their lineage now had two Alchemist Masters who could create Demi-God Artifacts!

Suddenly, a beautiful folding fan opened in the sky over Central City, trailing a long stream of light from the laws, its mainly gold and silver colors mixed with blue-green, brilliant and dazzling.

When it appeared, everyone who saw it knew to whom this Demi-God Artifact belonged—there was probably only one person in the world who possessed both the Law of the Earth and Wind Element Laws.

The fan’s bones shimmered with the luster of metal, the ocher fan surface painted with endless mountains and continuous fir forests, illuminated by flowing blue and green light.

The folding fan, enshrouded in the light of the laws, danced lightly, spilling a dazzling array of colors.

Hill appeared in the sky, his hand gently grasping the fan’s handle.

With a ’whoosh,’ twelve thin swords burst from the twelve ribs of the fan, swirling non-stop around Hill.

Hill swung the folding fan with a smile, and instantly twelve tornadoes appeared around him.

Pleased with the laws entwined around the folding fan, Hill slowly started to fold the fan, and with each fold, a thin sword instantly returned to its place within the fan’s structure.

The sky filled with the light of the laws finally surged towards the Demi-God Artifact, which, although made of metal, transformed into a delicate, translucent golden crystal fan, hanging lightly from Hill’s hand, seeming smaller than half Hill’s hand.

Even though not all of the fan’s magical abilities were visible, the two powers witnessed by all were enough to feel the terrifying strength it possessed.

Unlike Fran’s Sphere of All Spells, Hill was honing the few laws he possessed to the extreme, pursuing the power of a single element.

The wild reaction between the Law of the Earth and the Wind Element Laws also proved that he had created a Demi-God Artifact perfectly aligned with these two laws.

Hill smiled as he descended back onto the Cloud Ship, carelessly deactivating the concealment array.

It was unknown if anyone would appear before Hill ahead of Adrian.

He truly didn’t mind showing the world how powerful his Demi-God Artifact was.

Hill sat on the deck of the Cloud Ship, the small folding fan opened and gently waved as he scanned his surroundings to see if any Water Sorcerers or others would fly over at this time.

Unfortunately, until Adrian rushed up, no fool dared to appear.

"Hill, let me have a look!" Adrian arrived beside Hill’s table with a face full of joy, settling himself down unabashedly.

Hill handed the fan to him.

Adrian clicked his tongue in admiration, "How did you come up with this? It really suits your talented spell. Can it be used together with these thin swords?"

They both understood what was being referred to.

The spell for adding special magical effects to Hill’s weapons.

"It can. I’ve tried it before with similarly legendary weapons," Hill said lazily, "and I can even make every thin sword different, depending on my mood at the time."

Adrian couldn’t help but laugh, "I wonder how miserable the fool who provokes you will be."

Hill’s random magic depended on his mood; if he was happy, he could make an enemy’s death quite pleasant, but if not, to die with an intact body would be considered a good outcome.

"Was this fan inspired by your encounter with the Undead Tribe?" Adrian swished the fan a few times before giving it back to Hill.

A Demi-God Artifact crafted with one’s own laws is nearly soul-bound, and others could only hold and see it because Hill allowed it.

Although when closed, the glittering fan resembled a mere ornament, Adrian, knowing Alchemy, could easily sense the legendary materials used to make this weapon.

Moreover, the force of the Law was too evident, and Adrian dared not look at it or feel it too much.

He himself wanted to control the Laws! He absolutely couldn’t be influenced by Hill’s Law.

Just as Hill was about to reply, someone silently landed on the Cloud Ship; both Hill and Adrian stood up to greet him.

After so many days, Fran finally showed himself.

"Grandfather, you’ve finally come out!" With a glance at Adrian’s expression, Hill knew that Fran was summoned by this guy.

"I’m not trying to avoid anything," Fran said as he took the crystal folding fan from Hill, "Sometimes, I just don’t want to completely break off from the past.

Viola may be a bit utilitarian in her actions, but she’s a very decisive person. She’ll know to back off once she sees my attitude of avoidance.

She’s not the kind of person who acts without any bottom line. Even when using someone, she tries to consider their tolerance as much as she can.

However, no matter how good the relationship with someone is, it cannot stop her from making use of them.

That’s why it’s essential to firmly refuse from the very beginning.

As for Viola, unless it’s a matter of life and death, she won’t really offend someone to death, especially not someone she has a relationship with.

But she always has a sense of superiority when dealing with humans, a common flaw among elves.

After their Main God visited, they’ve realized they can only survive in this world now.

They can no longer come and go as they please.

Viola will lower her attitude even more, not even extending a finger towards Hill’s domain.

After all, if the Half-Elf Kingdom fails, she would want a place to escape to, and she certainly won’t involve Hill anymore."

"I thought, Teacher, that you had some unspeakable difficulties," Adrian couldn’t help but interject.

"You always use noble thinking to consider issues. Think simpler in the future. Does a mage need to consider so much when doing things? If you dislike something, give it up, or even directly eliminate it without any trouble.

If I truly feel that someone or something is blocking my path, I will show no mercy.

What you lack is this point; you think too much when you face problems.

Concessions are only related to your strength, not your strange concerns.

You are not Hill, a Kind Alignment, do you need to consider whether someone has crossed your bottom line or not?" Fran spoke without concern, "The most important reason I don’t go out is indeed that my Demi-God Artifact needs some modifications.

The destroyed half-plane last time gave me inspiration.

On the Sphere of All Spells, there are fewer Spatial Magic spells, and although I’ve grasped some of the Space Law, there’s not much that is practical.

This time I got some new ideas in my return.

Now, when the Sphere of All Spells is used again, its flight trajectory will not be seen."

"Compared to Half-Elves, I feel those Water Sorcerers are more worth my direct intervention," Hill said, looking at the tips of his fingers, revealing a hint of a cold smile.

"I was here long ago, just didn’t come up," Fran put down the folding fan, "It’s because I saw a group of Water Sorcerers moving. There were also many Water Mages packing up to go home, so I did some inquiries.

They probably thought before that, even if you were angry and acted out, you would at most kill a few unlucky ones; how could they be so unlucky to be targeted themselves.

But with the Demi-God Artifact out, who knows if you would kill all who have angered you just to test the weapon.

So, they all left.

Including that Alexis, taking his students, and directly running through the Teleportation Array."

Adrian was stunned, and couldn’t help but exclaim in astonishment, "They just run like that?"

"He wants to become a deity because he doesn’t want to die," Fran said with a chuckle, "Realizing that Hill might truly kill him, of course he ran. It’s not only shamelessness that has kept him alive for so many years."

"The house always wins?" Adrian muttered quietly to himself.

Fran didn’t pay any further attention to Adrian, who was muttering something unknown, and simply asked Hill, "Is this also from the blueprints provided by the Undead Tribe?"

"They have a kind of unique weapon called the Thousand Mechanism Fan, which can be equipped with many mechanisms," Hill explained cheerfully, "I found it very interesting and just right for someone who needs multiple swords like me."

Hill took out two blueprints, "One is the Thousand Mechanism Fan, and the other is the Sword Box. Both suit my needs, and I’ve done some ordinary tests. The fan integrates better with the Wind Element Laws and can launch mixed Law attacks.

The Sword Box has higher requirements for the swords, not so suitable for me."

Fran flipped through them, seeming to become interested, "Do you have any other blueprints? I’ll take a look. Although the Sphere of All Spells has both offense and defense, neither is the strongest; it could only be said to have fairly good comprehensive ability."

Hill’s smile widened, "Of course, there are more in the Magic Tower; I will bring them to Grandfather next time I go back.

I just think there seem to be a lot of peculiar little things on their side, different from our styles.

They can give me quite a lot of inspiration."

Fran nodded, taking another look at the Sword Box blueprint.
