Surviving The Fourth Calamity
Chapter 459 - 258: Kill! The True Master of the Gray Dwarves

Chapter 459: Chapter 258: Kill! The True Master of the Gray Dwarves

The Undead Tribe really was too numerous.

Whether it was the All Gods watching from the Starry Sky or the Legendary ones spectating by various means, they all couldn’t help but sigh.

Even the Sun God and the Goddess of the Silvermoon, who had cooperated with the God of Time and Space from the beginning, couldn’t imagine why so many people were bravely fighting for matters of other worlds.

Even if they wouldn’t die, they gained no benefits either!

Not only was a vast amount of time wasted, but dying once wasn’t entirely painless either.

However, there were so many in the Undead Tribe willing to rush forward one after another.

The God of Smithing looked down at his slaughtered kinsmen, clenched his teeth, and roared, "Die together, King Saral!"

His peculiar Divine Hammer instantly ascended into the sky, and William pulled out his Giant Shield, keeping his eyes tightly fixed on it.

The God of Smithing still struggled to use this weapon. The hammer indeed attacked William, but at the same time, it also emitted a silver light that struck directly at the God of Smithing.

The Gray Dwarf King, who had always followed him, held up a huge shield, using his body to block this attack for the God of Smithing.

He was instantly knocked away.

But William didn’t feel a particularly strong pressure.

He curiously watched the hammer flying in the sky, and this time he could confirm that the Divine Hammer wasn’t completely obedient to the will of the God of Smithing.

Though it was controlled and attacked William, the force was even less than the backlash.

The God of Smithing might have used his own Divine Blood to control the Divine Artifact.

This was the best kind to pass on; any deity stronger than him could force that drop of blood out.

Once he died, the hammer would be free.

William, with a poker face, blocked the attacks of the Divine Hammer with his shield, his eyebrows lightly furrowed, sensing something was amiss.

Although the Gray Dwarf King seemed to have blocked for the God of Smithing for a moment, he then lay motionless right after.

William was aware that the force of the Divine Hammer’s attack couldn’t even kill a demigod.

The God of Smithing also didn’t react much and pretended to be dead.

William recalled the previous few battles; the God of Smithing had always charged ahead solo, never letting this Gray Dwarf King take the frontline.

It seemed that every time, the most dangerous tasks were carried out by him alone, while the Gray Dwarf King always played a supporting role.

William’s lips curled into a cold sneer, either it was the God of Smithing’s own son or his master.

But they were from the Evil Faction, and a son meant practically nothing here; those who didn’t use their sons as expendables were already exceptionally good fathers.

William’s eyes shifted, ready to unleash a long-prepared powerful spell, bypassing the God of Smithing who stood there dumbly commanding the Divine Hammer, and directly targeted the Gray Dwarf King, who lay unconscious on the side.

Over a hundred Space-Time Dragons appeared with a roar, the air around them shredded into fragments by the spatial rifts on their bodies.

The God of Smithing bellowed fiercely, throwing aside the Divine Hammer and raising a huge shield to block the Space-Time Dragons.

Then he collapsed on the ground, covered in wounds.

This time he was truly severely injured and couldn’t rise again.

William, having freed his hands, looked at the hammer spinning aimlessly in the air and added several dozen more Space-Time Dragons flying past it; Hill’s chain spell-casting technique was quite suited to dealing with this group of dwarves who only knew scheming.

"Useless trash!" The Gray Dwarf King issued a deep curse. With a flip of his wrist, he stood up holding a gray Divine Shield.

That shield firmly protected him.

William observed the unique pattern of a Broken Arrow engraved in the middle of the shield and asked with a peculiar tone, "Son of Radug? You indeed stand taller than other Gray Dwarves."

"Otherwise, who would dare call themselves the King of the Gray Dwarves." With a stern face, the Gray Dwarf King spoke in a rigid tone, "He pretended to be foolish all this time to protect my existence.

Those Golden Dwarves wouldn’t care about a Gray Dwarf master artisan, but they would definitely capture me to sacrifice to their lord.

Let us go! As compensation, I will hand over all the Divine Artifacts we’ve acquired!"

William shook his head; this was why the Gray Dwarves, even when seeing the Abyssal Gate, dared not go through.

The Gray Dwarf King, bearing Radug’s blood, would be discovered immediately upon entering the Abyss.

If this guy died, they’d still face death even if they escaped back to the Gray Dwarf’s territory, perhaps even a more brutal death.

But if they didn’t leave, they had to fight desperately to keep the secret.

There weren’t any Demon Lords or Evil Gods in the Abyss who were on good terms with Radug; all were his enemies,

including the Spider Queen Rose. She might not pay a huge price to kill Coren’s son, but she’d be willing to kill Radug’s son, even if it meant sacrificing a loyal maid.

William had long suspected this batch of dwarves were Golden Dwarves; this was now confirmed.

They too resided underground, but were not completely of the Evil Faction.

There were many who were Neutral or leaned toward Evil, but regardless of their alignment, their worshiped deities would be very willing to trouble Radug.

Sacrificing a son of Radug, regardless of how many times their mission failed, would be rewarded by their Main God.

"How did you acquire these Divine Artifacts? And why are you with the elves?" William fell silent for a few seconds before asking, unable to restrain himself.

"Hey~ It’s no secret that the Demon Prince wanted to attack the Star Spirit," the Gray Dwarf King said candidly. "Who knows how many were ready.

Especially the dwarves.

A single drop of the Star Spirit’s blood could forge an artifact.

They themselves habitually carry hundreds of artifacts with them wherever they go, who wouldn’t want to pick up a few leftovers?"

The strength of the Demon Prince would easily kill a Star Spirit.

He wouldn’t stoop to pick things up. Naturally, we followed, hoping to gain some benefits.

If it weren’t for Moradin and his hypocrisy, look at those so-called kind alignments, would they send people to follow the Demon Prince!

The Demon Prince’s route was too easy to predict. Plus, we had that fool from the Forest of the Elves leading the way. We just tagged along.

Unfortunately, before the elves could notify another Star Spirit to come to his aid, the Demon Prince killed him.

Even more unfortunate, we picked up a bunch of things that only the Kind Alignment could use.

Unless we return to the Abyss, only with my father’s formidable strength can we convert them for the Evil Faction."

"The Gray Dwarves owe this world too much. I can’t just let you go," William said with a smile. "I could get those artifacts even if I kill you."

"As soon as I die, they will fly across the world!" the Gray Dwarf King shouted incredulously. "You won’t be able to get many!"

"Never mind, it could provide some treasure-hunting fun for the people of this world," William said nonchalantly. "I’m sure I can intercept the artifacts heading towards the Dwarf Kingdom and the Forest of the Elves.

The rest don’t matter at all.

Ready to die?"

William smiled as countless Space-Time Dragons rose behind him; he had much more stamina than Hill, enough to obliterate both of them.

"You... you hid your strength!" the Gray Dwarf King roared in fury as the severely wounded God of Smithing suddenly sprang up and charged at William.

"No, it’s just that I didn’t need to exert myself that much before," William said casually.

A portal suddenly appeared in front of William. The charging God of Smithing couldn’t stop and rushed right through it,

Then appeared in front of the largest building in Gray Dwarf territory, blowing himself up on the spot.

William smiled and thanked the Undead Space-Time Warlocks flying behind him: "Thanks for the help, everyone. The task here is complete, you can go find your companions now."

These Undead had been flying beside William the whole time, even if being so close to the powerful divine energy waves killed some of them, not many left.

The Gray Dwarf King had always thought they were there to supply William with the power of time and space to fuel his consumption, not realizing they were there to prevent anyone from going down with William!

"You’ve thought this through very well!" he gritted his teeth and said.

The God of Smithing, it turns out, died in vain and took the Gray Dwarf high command with him.

"Actually, that was originally prepared for you," William said with a rueful laugh. "Just didn’t expect someone else would use it. But why do you guys love the whole self-destruct tactic so much?

Does the Abyss enjoy mutual destruction that much?"

William waved his hand lightly and the Space-Time Dragons behind him charged toward the Gray Dwarf King: "Don’t worry, they’ll join you too."

"But I don’t want to! Radug!" the Gray Dwarf King roared, his figure enlarging as darkness flowed over the shield before him.

Unfortunately, it was just a futile struggle.

William frowned, watching as the broken Divine Shield surrounding the spearhead suddenly sprang up, piercing straight through the Gray Dwarf King’s half-shattered skull.

William observed the flickering Soul Light on the Broken Arrow, his lips pursed as he directed the Space-Time Dragons over it.

However, the divine-energy-formed Broken Arrow seemed to exist in another dimension, unreachable even by William’s spatial divine powers.

It paused for a few seconds, then flew straight towards the stars.

A giant spider suddenly leapt up, holding a diamond-shaped blue crystal pendant and charged towards the Broken Arrow.

An evil glow enveloped the Broken Arrow as an angry voice bellowed out, "Rose! You’re looking for death!"

As the glow faded, a sharp, triumphant laughter filled the sky, brimming with pride.

Karula paid no attention to Radug’s fury, taking pride in having avenged her Goddess.

William couldn’t help but marvel. This Spider Queen really knows how to draw hatred!

Then he raised his hand to greet this arrogant spider with the Space-Time Dragons. Did she really think just because they shared a common enemy he wouldn’t hold a grudge?

At least half of all the cunning tricks played on humans by the elves must have come from her.

Otherwise, with those elves who are always hesitant, eager to gain advantages without taking responsibility, they would just stupidly watch the dwarves cause trouble and follow behind to pick up any advantage.

"I would think so~" Karula’s voice was very ethereal, "But I still need to stay alive for more interesting tasks! The Goddess is very pleased with my actions!"

William looked around but could not pinpoint her location, so he had to let her leave.
