Chapter 165: Chapter 19 I Really Don’t Want to Call the Goddess of Education_2
He really didn’t want to think about this, always having a bad premonition, so he quickly changed the subject, "Grandfather, do you understand the Demon Language?"
"How could I?" Fran shook his head, "This time, obtaining the information requires a thorough study."
"Let’s keep it with me!" Hill said earnestly, "I don’t know if there will be a problem with that language, but the natural suppression here is relatively strong.
Moreover, my Magic Tower is basically empty, and I can set up a whole floor of Purification Arrays."
"We still have to invite others," Fran shook his head.
"Grandfather, it’s time for my identity as a Magician to be known to all," Hill said with a bitter smile, "If the Magic Tower doesn’t work, I can just renovate the Lord’s Mansion."
"Renovate the Lord’s Mansion instead!" Adrian said, "Your Magic Tower makes even Mages feel uncomfortable."
Adrian had complained several times about feeling uncomfortable the last time he went in. Since Hill gave up on preparing a living environment for people in his territory, List had turned all the floors, except for the library and the Alchemy Workshop, into gardens for growing magic plants.
He also had Hill use Space Crystals to expand one floor, creating many large cells to plant some especially demanding species.
Hill had originally planned to create a layer for mining ores, but he was fiercely scolded by the Earth Elemental Chief, who took all the ores to his own layer.
All Hill could do was helplessly expand the territory for the Earth Elemental Chief, since they didn’t need any air anyway.
The current state of the Magic Tower would probably make low-level Mages feel uncomfortable too, due to the heavy elemental imbalance.
Hill glanced at Fran and saw that he consented, so he nodded happily and called List over.
The Lord’s Mansion could be added onto, and though Hill felt it would probably be unnecessary, he had left room for renovation.
This time it came in handy.
Hill certainly wasn’t going to look for the Earth Elemental Overlord these few days, but if Hill renovated without seeking out the Earth Elementals, the ones already accustomed to getting paid for their work would definitely not be pleased.
Hill thought it better not to seek trouble, as he really worried that the Earth Elemental Overlord, having lost an argument, would find an excuse to scold him.
"Are they about to finish?" Adrian asked, looking out the window.
Hill looked outside and saw that the orchestra had come up again.
Several rows of girls in white tube-top long dresses followed one after another.
The Young Master also walked back onto the stage with a serious expression, "Our pursuit will always be joy and heroism!"
Hill heard the familiar "Ode to Joy" and felt once more that even in different worlds, many spirits would eternally exist.
As the choir sang the first section, starlight began twinkling overhead.
A gentle-faced woman, embracing a handsome young boy, slowly materialized.
"Queen Spencer." Fran stood up and murmured.
The starlight-formed phantom closed its eyes, enjoying this music filled with freedom and equality.
The players below all stood up, watching the figures of Spencer and Young William, and suddenly someone changed the Goddess of Joy to Goddess Spencer and sang along.
The choir on the high platform also changed the lyrics, even altering the word ’God’ to ’Space-Time’.
Hill’s eyes widened as he watched the figure of the Goddess of Arts and Education, Spencer, become increasingly solid.
In that moment, the Goddess of Joy acknowledged by the players had completely taken the word ’Arts’ from the Goddess of Art and Love.
As "Ode to Joy" reached its finale, everyone in the world heard her gentle voice, "I am Spencer, overseer of Arts and Education, wishing to bring joy and a future to all upon the earth."
A clear voice of a young boy followed, "I am Young William, overseer of Arts and Entertainment, wishing to bring joy and laughter to all upon the earth."
The players cheered, setting off fireworks again. The Young Master gave up on the symphony of heroism that followed and repeatedly conducted "Ode to Joy" with the crowd.
Hill bowed alongside Fran and Adrian. From now on, these two deities would no longer be Divine Subordinates unable to leave the Space-Time God Country, but constituents of the Space-Time God System.
They would now be able to establish their own Divine Kingdoms near the Space-Time God Country!
Previously only Elves and Dwarves had their own God Systems; now Humans were finally starting to have one too.
The God of Nobility, who had been clawing and biting for thousands of years, hadn’t been able to win the heartfelt devotion of any deity to form a God System with Him.
Even the Goddess of Love and the Goddess of the Spring, who were attached to Him, were independent deities.
And the God of Time and Space, who had ascended to the starry sky, had achieved in less than three years what He had yearned for for thousands of years.
Hill watched as Goddess Spencer took Young William with her as they transformed into light and left, leaving behind droplets of Holy Rain on the players and plenty falling into the fountain’s waters.
Black and White Path really made a fortune this time! This was natural Holy Water! As long as Goddess Spencer existed, this Holy Water would never run out.
"From now on, let’s continue to call her the Goddess of Joy!" The Young Master raised his head, watching the dissipating divine radiance, and suddenly spoke up.
He looked at the others’ baffled gazes and said angrily, "I! Absolutely refuse to acknowledge! That I helped the Goddess of Education make her appearance!"
"Anyone who wants to admit it, feel free to do so!"
"In my world, today there is only the Goddess of Joy!"
The players all suddenly fell silent, as still as the quiet of resting sparrows.
Hill couldn’t hold back his laughter, seeing that even in the most developed worlds, the sound of the little educational whip being brandished was still heart-stirringly loud.
Snow Cloud Peak rushed up in a hurry, demanding the live stream be cut off.
And with that, this joyous celebration came to an end.
Fran and Adrian were somewhat perplexed, but they could sense that the Undead Tribe didn’t deny Goddess Spencer’s divinity; they just preferred to call Her the Goddess of Joy, so they didn’t dwell on it any further.
For the Saral People, the stronger the God of Time and Space, the better.
As for the barely perceptible tremors of the Goddess of Love and Arts’ Divine Kingdom overhead, no one cared.
After all, her literary priesthood was merely a tiny speck left upon Her.
Downstairs, the players were dying of laughter.
Almost rolling on the floor.
Hill opened the window and, looking at the female villagers who didn’t know what to make of the queer Undead under their care, said, "Everyone go back, and don’t mind the Undead. They’re now under the management of this Undead called Old Cat. If there’s any issue, you can find List, and he will communicate with Old Cat."
The female villagers then kneeled to Hill in thanks and turned to leave together.
Fran stood up and said, "Hill, Adrian and I are going back to pack up and inform people to come over.
There are too many at my place, indeed unsuitable for studying Demon Text, lest any slip-up leads to disaster.
But you shouldn’t let outsiders into your Magic Tower either. Make sure List handles things well, and stay inside.
There are always some who like to demand respect due to age; I can handle them.
You make sure the Purification Array is set up today."
"Understood, Grandfather."
As Hill watched the two fly away, he said to the players who had laughed their fill, "In the coming days, Lord’s Mansion will host many foreign mages, so be mindful.
Old Cat, can you handle the affairs of the Undead at the church? List can show up there too."
Old Cat raised his hand to his forehead, "No problem, Mr. Hill."
"If they have quests, can we take them?" Xiao Chenhuan asked loudly.
"You can. But be cautious," Hill thought for a moment before saying, "They’re only academically competent."
"But that doesn’t necessarily mean they are good people, right?" Old Cat chimed in.
Hill responded to this with a noncommittal smile.
Understanding the implication, the players went home joking and teasing one another.
List appeared behind Hill, "Sir, how many levels should we add?"
"Five levels," Hill answered directly, "The top floor will be Grandfather and Adrian’s residence; add another half-level to that."
He took a moment to think, "Make the bottom two levels into one-bedroom, one-living room, one-bathroom apartments. Move all the books here to the church, creating a larger library.
The entire floor will become a research lab; let me know when it’s ready, and I will engrave the Purification Array on it.
Is there a large Alchemy Experiment table in the storeroom? The type that a dozen people can use together, with high protective strength? Set up that table.
Aside from your office on the ground floor, convert the rest into a reception hall."
"Since those people won’t eat the food we provide, just leave two puppets for Grandfather on the top floor."
Hill took a deep breath, "Tell the female villagers to stay home; they should not go to the inn.
You handle the two puppets temporarily in their place."
"Yes, Sir."
Watching List’s departing figure, Hill scratched his head, flew out of the Lord’s Mansion, and waited for the Earth Elemental to come for the refurbishing.
He sat on a bench next to the Lord’s Mansion, watching Old Cat take the lead, casually browsing the continent’s major news.
Apparently, William planned to station heavy troops at the southern border of Cortez and had already issued a call to arms to the players.
