Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 155: Chapter 15 Player Deputy Mayor—Old Cat_2

Edgar’s hair had now turned a deep gold, and she might be willing to take a risk and try it.

"But Manton made such a resolute decision, completely disregarding the noble tradition by abandoning his underage legitimate little brother. There must be some evidence," he estimated.

Hill felt like his head was aching: "Luckily, I’m no longer a member of the Pelast Family.

"Is the Earl doing well?"

"Alive," List hesitated before saying, "Anyway, Mr. Adrian is very happy. It was only when he received that verbal message that he had a good hearty laugh."

Hill shook his head helplessly and finally couldn’t help but laugh: "What a lovely little wife! She truly follows the noble traditions and lives happily. The Earl must be very satisfied!"

Hill thought that if Melanie’s soul were still around, she would probably be laughing her way up to the Divine Kingdom.

"Before receiving any documents from the Earl about expelling Edgar," Hill thought for a moment, then said, "we still need to post the quest, since it’s a child under eight years old after all."

"Do we need to send any supplies to the Earl?" asked List, "They have been there for a long time. Although they have some money, not many from the Undead Tribe go there to deliver letters or accept quests."

"One delivery should do, there are quite a few from the Undead Tribe in our territory who know the way. Manton has money, there will always be Undead who go!"

Hill suddenly looked at List with a smile: "This is the most gratifying delivery of supplies. As soon as my stuff arrives, the Earl will understand that I know everything.

"Let him sit there and think about how his grandfather and I will mock him!"

List nodded, then asked, "Boen came over a few days ago. It seems he heard something about the Lord from the Undead Tribe in the domain and was sent back by Mr. Adrian."

"Once Uncle Adrian returns, Boen should know," Hill said with a slight smile. "Since he came, Uncle Adrian must have told him something upon his return." Boen always met his expectations.

"He is working hard and I can feel that his Mana has increased a lot."

"That’s good to hear."

"The Undead in the domain were asking me if we were planning to use the big screen in the domain to broadcast the celebration."

Hill was speechless: "Can we broadcast too?"

"Only domains where both the church and the Lord’s Mansion are under the same control Core can activate this feature. I have checked," List said with a wry smile, "It seems that no one ever thought that the Deity would not care about the control of the church at all.

"Are we the first native domain to have it all?"

"As long as this Core is in use, surveillance rights are in His hands," Hill was rather calm about the matter, "If all the lords start using this Core for convenience, then that would be great indeed."

"So are we broadcasting?" asked List.

"Yes, we are," confirmed Hill, "Notify Uncle Adrian and see if he will come to watch. The small screen doesn’t impress him much, but he must be interested in this one that’s almost like a 3D movie.

"Moreover, knowing the Undead as I do, they must have recorded everything in the Abyss.

"You know how it is with celebrations: you have to report your achievements first!

"There’s been no news these past few days; they’re definitely editing!"

"Yes, sir," List agreed, nodding his head.

After sorting through these varied affairs and resting properly for two days, Hill finally arrived at the day of the celebration.

It was an auspicious day, suitable for all kinds of activities.

Olivia, along with the villagers-turned-Knights, had left early in the morning.

Hill waited until she left with great ambition before heading to the Lord’s Mansion to prepare for the unveiling of this giant movie screen.

After much deliberation, considering future uses, Hill finally decided to place the screen in the middle of the square. That way, whether from the Lord’s Mansion, the church to the left, or even the inn on the right, everyone could clearly see it.

Once Hill set it up and saw the fan-shaped screen rising slowly in the middle of the square, he pondered a while and then called over a player who had been crouching outside the Lord’s Mansion since early morning to watch the spectacle, known as Old Cat.

This player was a true idler; even the couple Yun Che and Yeyu Qingyu, who claimed they only wanted to live lovingly in their homeland, had been out many times to tackle instances and quests.

Only Old Cat would take on quests if there were any in Hill’s Domain, but if not, he wouldn’t even be willing to use the Teleportation Array to leave.

Checking Old Cat’s reputation with the domain, Hill was surprised to see three full progress bars and an extensive list of completed quests underneath. He felt a profound depth of love from Old Cat for his domain.

Although it was possible to appoint Undead as officials in the domain, Hill had never seen the need for it.

List was quite capable of handling these miscellaneous affairs, and Hill didn’t need to worry about them.

Although he could set limitations on the Undead officials he appointed in various aspects, Hill believed that a player’s greatest ability was to cause unforeseen trouble.

But now it was different.

Looking at the giant screen, Hill resolutely set three conditions: the Faction must remain Neutral Good; leaving for 7 days would result in immediate loss of position; and there must be no violations of the official appointment requirements set by William.

Hill asked Old Cat, who had cheerfully run in: "Would you be willing to stay in the domain and become Deputy Mayor, specifically handling matters related to the Undead?" Old Cat looked at Hill’s conditions and requirements, asked in detail about his rights and obligations, and finally agreed with delight.
