He waved away the Puppet and gestured to List on the ground, then turned and flew towards his home.

Hill hadn’t been away for long, but as the balcony outside the Magic Tower came nearer, the joy of coming home welled up from within.

List was already standing on the balcony, smiling at the descending Hill, "Welcome home! You’ve worked hard!"

"List, it’s really good to see you!" Hill laughed, catching the rushing Alice and nodding at the seated Merkel.

"Hill! Are you okay?" Alice asked eagerly, "I asked Adrian, and he ignored me! He even had Merkel lock me in the study and said I wasn’t allowed out!"
