Chapter 144: Chapter 11: The mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind.
List quietly stood at the mouth of the valley, watching the chattering players gradually board Adrian’s golden ship, feeling somewhat headache.
This was probably the first time Hill’s Domain in the valley had welcomed so many people. Although it was only for one day, he still felt a bit uncomfortable.
Fortunately, he had already informed Alice and Merkel, telling the magical beasts in the valley not to appear at this location.
Even Merkel, who lived at the mouth of the valley, stayed in the Magic Tower during this time. List could feel Merkel’s nervous gaze fixated in this direction from Hill’s study.
He had even warned the Elemental Spirits. But Hill’s identity as a magician had been exposed, and his Wood Element talents were undeniably clear.
The fact that Fran once had a Half-Elf girlfriend was probably already known throughout the realm.
Thus, the big eyes bobbing in the water, the large heads peering out from the cliffs, and those little elf orbs hanging in the trees did not seem strange to the players.
It was just that the mutual observation felt a bit peculiar.
List, with a headache, glanced at the furious Adrian. That was the real problem.
The demon had appeared for only three days, but it truly felt like an eternity.
Hill had directed the players to come and provide a live stream for Adrian, which at first indeed soothed the restless Adrian. Even Fran in Cortez, far away cursing William, calmed down a bit.
But, players from Black and White Path and Wenjian, taking advantage of the mission handover, discussed how Doomsday would choose the time to attack, where Wenjian should assemble to avoid attracting attention, and other such matters.
They thought there were no outsiders in Hill’s Lord’s Mansion, so they spoke heatedly and didn’t hide it from Adrian and List.
The players in Hill’s Domain, finding the Black and White Path’s camera angle boring, had all gone back to watch the professional journalists’ live streams.
But Adrian understood their conversation and was almost furious.
Hill was still below! Did they care so little for Hill’s life by doing this?
Upon hearing that Wenjian needed to deploy in full, and that would be after Doomsday attacked the Black and White Path territory, he decided to let them assemble on his own territory.
Attending List quickly realized the situation, intercepted immediately, and decided to offer Hill’s valley.
Youth Journey of the Wenjian World, that was a gathering of Chuunibyou Teenagers.
If something happened in Fran’s Territory, Hill would have torn him apart upon his return.
In contrast, Hill’s place had no issues; although it was full of magical beasts and elements, all were contracted with Hill, appearing as unattackable green-name NPCs to players.
Since the exposure of Hill’s Domain, many players had flown above to observe. For them, who had already toured various mountains and forests, Hill’s Domain was nothing unusual, just a valley full of forests with a single Magic Tower.
The scenery was quite nice, but nothing extraordinary.
The players in the territory had already shown Hill many videos of his domain from various angles.
In Fran’s territory, however, resided many alchemists and mages! If any of them irked this group of Chuunibyou Teenagers, it wasn’t half as worrying whether they’d even make it to support before smashing Fran’s territory to smithereens.
He had spent considerable persuasion to convince Adrian that Hill’s place was more secluded and unnoticeable.
Yet, the more he thought about it, the angrier Adrian became, and he decided to transport Wenjian players to their destination using his own ship.
This was the first time List knew Adrian’s ship could expand to such gigantic proportions. Presumably, the knowledge absorbed from Hill over the past year had all been utilized on this ship.
Decades of experience indeed made a difference; even with so many materials given to Hill, he couldn’t have produced such a powerful huge ship. It was nearly comparable to an aircraft carrier, wasn’t it?
This huge ship, already slightly off the ground, had loaded over 30,000 players and was still boarding.
List genuinely hadn’t expected this famous Chuunibyou clique to gather so many people so quietly.
Could the fury of revenge enable people to achieve what would otherwise be impossible?
List could only anxiously watch as Adrian led this group of players charging into the sky, wondering when Hill would get the news?
Here was Hill, already aware of the news, foolishly listening to the commentary above, his mind unable to process: How did this involve my home?
"Look at this ship comparable to a spacecraft!" the young reporter passionately said, "When Doomsday was dealing with Black and White Path, did they forget there’s a big boss behind Hill?"
Hill nervously had the Beech transport him behind a few small reporters, within a tree trunk at a distance. Without his needing to ask, the Beech slightly turned a section of its bark transparent so Hill could see more clearly.
It was a massive golden vessel, glittering in the sunlight.
People were continuously jumping down from the ship.
Adrian stood at the bow, his face stern, looking down at the small city below.
What place was this?
"Here is the Alluring Rain of the City family’s territory, Stunning Inn," the small reporter said with an unrestrained laugh. "This really is a grand revenge drama live broadcast scene!"
"Have all the people from Qingcheng disembarked?" his companion asked.
"Still counting, but at least more than half are down," he almost said excitedly, his eyebrows dancing, "Their territory was built up so quickly, thanks to the major effort by Doomsday. In exchange, many of their people left the gang to fight Black and White Path."
