Chapter 137: Chapter 7: A Minor Incident Before the War Officially Begins_2
Fenmo Wuxin asked, "It’s been a month, hasn’t it? How can you still dare to play games?"
"She wants to give the kid more prenatal education," the Old Age Striking King said sarcastically. "So the child won’t make a fuss when she ignores them to play games later."
"Pah!" Cunlü shouted, "My mom is coming soon! Don’t you understand that this is my last bout of craziness? Soon I’ll be able only to watch a projection from dozens of meters away and curse my bad luck!"
"Your mom’s going to take care of your confinement period?" Qu Qingyan asked.
"A month and a half," Cunlü said listlessly. "Hard Wind said that if I don’t want my gaming capsule smashed, I’d better not do anything stupid."
"When you come back after a month and a half, you’ll only be eating our dust!" laughed the Old Age Striking King as he settled down, "I’m exhausted! What karma have I done to deserve this!"
"You’re the one who wanted to game," Cunlü said bluntly. "Why do we all fall behind except for you? You’re always there every time."
"I just don’t want to be thrown off the leaderboard!" the Old Age Striking King said defiantly. "Why should they! I will always keep them down! Forever the number one of our gang."
"You guys from Black Rose, aren’t you not that anxious about the rankings?" Fenmo Wuxin asked curiously. "You’re not Wenjian who needs the face, right?"
"Black Rose doesn’t have any gender discrimination, right?" Sister Night settled down against the big tree as well.
"Their pain isn’t that the top player is a woman," Qu Qingyan laughed. "Which gang has a Priest at the highest level like ours!"
"Didn’t that idle person always level up with her?" Fenmo Wuxin asked. "Isn’t he as high as her?"
"That idler collapses after just 8 hours of playing a day," Cunlü said. "Who’s like her, 16 hours straight without as much as a blink."
"That is crazy," Fenmo Wuxin said in surprise, looking at the Old Age Striking King.
"It’s just boring!" the Old Age Striking King said quietly. "A happy life lacks passion."
"All in need of punishment," Cunlü concluded.
"Ladies, don’t stay too long at Hill’s place," Mobi Chenxin came over with a beaming smile.
"Just here for a meal," said the Female Swordsman named Midnight with a tilt of her head. "Mr. Hill doesn’t mind."
"Night, you’re even prettier!" Mobi Chenxin said unblinkingly. "Is that the latest lip color you’re wearing? Rum color suits you so well, enchanting and captivating."
Midnight’s fingers lightly brushed over her collarbone like unfolding wings, touching her lips lightly, "Good eye."
Suddenly, Fenmo Wuxin interjected stiffly, "You can go now, we’ll be done soon."
The few girls from Black Rose fell silent, trying their best to minimize their presence.
Mobi Chenxin turned his head and looked around, seemingly oblivious, and said, "Really sorry for the interruption, Mr. Hill. I hope you don’t mind. This is the only place now where the girls can get a good rest."
Hill thought for a moment and decided not to respond.
Better to handle this Shura Field by oneself!
Paintbrush moved quickly, stopping upon seeing the scene, then immediately put on a smile, "Why are you still here? Ink Brush~ Snow Cloud Peak is calling for you. I specifically came to find you!"
"I thought my tablet was blocked!" Fenmo Wuxin took out his tablet and pretended to check it.
Paintbrush rolled her eyes and grabbed Ink Brush’s arm with both hands, "Let’s go fast!"
Ink Brush seemed to hesitate for a moment but let himself be pulled away by Paintbrush, "I’ll go check what Snow Old Dog wants! You all better go back to your places quickly too!"
The Old Age Striking King quietly sat up, gulped down juice, and gobbled up a few snacks and sandwiches in a few bites.
"I’m done eating, let’s go," she said, not quite swallowing the last mouthful before she anxiously spoke.
"Once done eating, let’s go!" said the other two members of Black Rose, quickly getting up and running off.
Midnight sat against the big tree without moving, resting with her eyes closed.
"Are your days really so good?" Fenmo Wuxin asked with his head down. "Isn’t it said that simple living tugs the heartstrings? Why do you all choose the dazzling life of lights and entertainment?"
"I don’t know what Ink Brush thinks," said Midnight coldly. "But for me, being with a man for over half a year is like committing murder."
She gently touched her lips with her fingers, "A man who can talk about ’rum color,’ you simpleton, better forget it!"
"So the paintbrush has more hope than me, does it?" Fenmo Wuxin said with a sob in her voice.
"That girl is crazy enough; I just hope her end isn’t too tragic," Midnight said. "Don’t go on about having once owned it, yet dream of staying together every day."
She stood up, "But Mobi Chenxin isn’t that foolish. To keep playing the game of life, she definitely wouldn’t touch a girl like the paintbrush."
Midnight reached out her hand to Fenmo Wuxin, "Let’s go, Princess. Mr. Hill hasn’t said a word, but he must be watching! This scene isn’t suitable for kids; what would you do if you become too scared to deal with women later on?"
Fenmo shook her head slightly, lifting her face that still had a few droplets of water on it, and smiled softly: "Don’t joke about Mr. Hill; everyone knows he can hear us!" She took Midnight’s hand and stood up, "Let’s go! Work comes first! The game is still more important!"
Knowing that nobody knew where he was, Hill still held his breath and waited for the two women to pack up and leave before he let out a quiet breath and sat down properly.
Women are tigers - the ancients never fooled me! All those talks about being gentle as water, obedient and understanding, not troubling the man they love, are just illusions men conjure up to deceive themselves.
Fenmo Wuxin was gentle in her speech and actions, but when it came to emotions, her aggressiveness was strong; if she couldn’t win someone over, she was also prepared to give up.
No matter how fierce the quarrel, it didn’t affect their continuation of the game.
Hill watched as Perfect Bald and Xiao Liuliu, holding hands, slowly came around from behind a tree.
They arrived even earlier than Mobi Chenxin, probably because they didn’t want to get involved with that group of women’s gathering, so they took a detour from behind the restaurant into the woods.
They were doting on each other, feeding each other, when the situation outside suddenly changed.
"Did Snow Old Dog look for you?" Xiao Liuliu asked softly.
"Meet at the Ice Wall right in front of the restaurant in 1 hour," Baldy replied, also holding a tablet, "I knew it; I didn’t receive any messages about an emergency meeting. It’s just a notification."
"Stay away from Mobi Chen from now on," Xiao Liuliu instructed. "If he asks you out to play, remember to say I forbid it."
"Don’t worry~" Baldy replied in a coquettish tone, "Who would dare ask me out for fun!"
"Hmph," Xiao Liuliu shifted from her usually gentle and compliant persona, "That’s why I say, why play a male character in this game?"
"Wife, let’s hurry up and go," Baldy said. "It wouldn’t look good if someone came back and saw this."
The two walked off hand in hand.
Only Hill knew that, at this moment, several groups were still hidden in the woods.
Someone, who was originally a bit hostile, Hill had considered taking him down, but soon he was lying down and filming without any hostility left.
As for the rest, who knows which faction they belonged to, but according to gamers’ habits, they all filmed it.
Hill sighed silently for these people, guessing that the footage would soon be on the forum.
After a moment of silent mourning for the two gang leaders, Hill perked up: Was it time to counterattack in an hour?
He worked very hard on decorating the little woods with tree leaves, drank a bottle of juice, placed a Forest Song.
He took out Mental Power Potions, ready to replenish at any time.
This stuff was Adrian’s finest work; Hill himself couldn’t make a potion that could replenish a Magister’s Mental Sea.
The Water Elemental Lord slowly swayed over: "That Purification spell you have, give me one."
"Aren’t you the Water Elemental Lord?" Hill asked in surprise. "You don’t know this spell?"
"Who told you this was a spell?" The Water Elemental chuckled in his spirit, "This is a Divine Arts Water Elementals find very difficult to learn! Ever since Milinna the wretch betrayed the water, aside from the Legendary ones, no new Water Spirits have learned the Divine Arts of Purification and Recovery!"
"Don’t tell me!" Hill quickly shouted in his spirit.
"Alright." The Water Elemental Lord seemed a bit disappointed, "That guy’s Divine Power doesn’t dare to leave the Divine Kingdom, there is nothing to worry about!"
Hill quickly swallowed a Mana Potion and threw several Tide Dance Moon Welcoming at him: "There you go! Now go to the Ice Wall and get ready to start fighting!"
