Chapter 128: Chapter 3: Well-organized Battle Scenes
"Mr. Hill," Snow Cloud Peak also came over quietly, "why do these deities need to speak out?"
"To declare their stance," Hill said coldly, "the sin of deliberately letting demons into the Main World is enough to make a deity fall."
"And the God of Nobility?"
"A demonic invasion was already an imminent future. He tore apart some unstable spaces to free himself, merely accelerating the pace of the Abyss’s invasion.
But that was enough for his faction to shift towards evil."
"The Goddesses still prefer to stand with the Neutral Faction."
"So they don’t want to die alongside the God of Nobility?" Snow Cloud Peak said, suddenly understanding.
"If the God of Nobility cannot rectify the situation soon, he might just end up in the Abyss.
He has the ’merit’ of helping the Abyss tear through the space of the Main World and can win favor from the Abyss to secure a place there.
If those two Goddesses get dragged down by him, there’s no good outcome for them in the Abyss. What if they are turned into succubi!"
"I see..." Snow Cloud Peak walked away, stunned.
"What’s happened to Hill? Didn’t he used to be very cautious when he spoke?" the players whispered among themselves.
"He must be furious," someone quietly answered, "He made thorough preparations, only to be brought before the demons by the God of Nobility."
"He quickly sent everyone else away," another agreed, "After watching for a day, he ended up falling with us. He’d have died if not for a Legendary Puppet, right?"
"This world’s NPCs only have one life, after all!"
"We need to protect Little Hill well!"
Hill’s mouth twitched. Little Hill? Had Adrian called him that and been overheard?
"The eyes of the deities, they’re watching us now, right?" the Young Master suddenly shouted, "Keep it up! We can also start the instance!"
"Young Master, why the rush?" someone laughed, "It’s a 25-person instance, and isn’t it always you who greets when switching maps?"
"This is for opening a hundred-person instance!" the Young Master paid them no attention, "I want a good spot!"
The suppression by Divine Power was growing lighter, and Hill frowned as he called Snow Cloud Peak, "Mr. Snow Cloud Peak, please be ready; it’s about to start."
"Mr. Hill, can we fly away?" Snow Cloud Peak ran over, "We have received the task to ensure your safe departure."
Hill sighed: it was over, he had become the main character of an escape instance.
"No, demons can fly," Hill said as succinctly as possible, "Don’t worry about me, I will hide well.
High-level demons like to hide among low-ranked ones for surprise attacks, so you all need to be careful not to let your guard down."
"Okay! Okay!" Snow Cloud Peak quickly ran off, shouting loudly, "Snap to it! Stop goofing around!
Form a circle, form a circle!
Everyone should guard their own area! Don’t push responsibility onto the Scattered Ones!
I’m recording everything! Whoever’s defense line breaks, you’ll be ridiculed on the forums!"
Hill watched as Snow Cloud Peak directed the players, forming a large circle around the remaining half of the mountain top.
Miss Carl’s shop turned into a restaurant, the church, and the Lord’s Mansion, along with Adrian’s general store, were all inside the circle.
He walked to the entrance of the general store and called over a passing Paintbrush, "I’ve dismantled the core, have people take everything away."
"Ah? Mr. Hill, you don’t want it anymore?"
"At this time, what’s there to earn!" Hill said irritably, "Take away everything in the storage too."
Initially, to ensure safety, Adrian had reinforced the secret room very solidly. This place was Hill’s ultimate hiding spot.
He didn’t want, at that moment when it came down to the wire, to have players raiding and sweeping him out along with the rest.
Thankfully, the position in the belly of the mountain perfectly embedded into the underground.
Ignoring the players who came to move the items, Hill glanced with the corner of his eye at the tightly covered entrance of the secret room, turned, and walked over to the beech near the restaurant.
This tall tree, slanting and toppling over, had many of its roots, longer than its trunk, shattered and jutting out haphazardly on the ground.
The roses in the garden had all withered, leaving only desolation. Hill sighed softly.
He placed his hand on the trunk of the beech, communicating intently. The tree, having just a faint bit of consciousness left, clung stubbornly to life, desperate to survive.
As soon as Hill’s spiritual power entered, it eagerly twined around, frantically seeking help, not caring what Hill wanted to do with it, as long as it could stay alive.
Its tenacity allowed the Forest Array that Hill was releasing to form quickly.
Hill listened to the demons’ roars outside while hurriedly casting the Forest Song and Dense Forest Stars.
He also quickly summoned a projection of the Water Elemental Lord, almost excitedly feeling the response from the Water Elemental Lord: This lord, detesting demons that carry toxins and curses, was willing to send a phantom to assist Hill.
As soon as the lord stood within the range of the Forest Array, Hill quickly used the Healing Spell Tide Dance Moon Welcoming, which included detoxification and purification.
Mist filled the air, and combined with the magic of the Forest Song, anyone nearby could continuously heal and detoxify.
A Female Priest named Fenmo Wuxin from the Black and White Path followed quietly behind Hill, her eyes widened in surprise as she watched Hill cast spells.
"Staying near this forest for a minute will restore and detoxify," Hill said, sounding a bit weary, "Arrange yourselves accordingly."
After summoning the Water Elemental Lord and using a large-scale healing spell, Hill’s Mana Pool was nearly depleted.
The awakened beech extended a branch, lifted him gently, and concealed him within the hollow of the tree.
