Surviving the Apocalypse: All I Want Is to Find a Husband
Chapter 127: Waking Up From The Nightmare

Chapter 127: Waking Up From The Nightmare

Medeia threw his body onto the snow, then stomped on his crotch as hard as she could. "You always bragged that no woman could resist your temptation and back then, I always pretended to praise you. But do you know what I really wanted to say to you?"

"You’re a fucking manslut who deserves to be castrated." Medeia kicked his crotch repeatedly. "If you don’t want kids that badly, you should’ve kept your pathetic dick in your pants, you son of a bitch—wait, you don’t even have a mother to begin with!"

"You’re just a pure bastard! Instead of falling from heaven, why didn’t you just stay there and be their pain in the ass?"

Medeia climbed on top of him, raising her sword high before plunging it straight into his chest—right through his heart, to be exact.

She stabbed him over and over again, turning the white snow around them into a sea of crimson red.

[Host, you need to stop!]

[You could get trapped here for a long time if you keep interacting with the object in this hallucination!]

Why should she stop? Things were just starting to get fun.

[Don’t you want to help Lucian as soon as possible? He might also be struggling to escape his hallucination.]

[The only way to wake him up is by killing the panther.]

[Do you want to let him stay trapped in his miserable memory?]

Medeia’s hands froze mid-air the moment the system mentioned his name.

She looked at Lucifer’s shattered, bloodied face and realized she had wasted her time indulging someone who didn’t even deserve a second of her attention.

Lucian needed her.

So why the hell was she wasting time in this fucking hell with this motherfucking demon?

Medeia slapped her own cheeks twice, snapping herself out of her chaotic mind.

She spat on Lucifer’s ruined face before standing up. "If we meet again, I’ll make sure to dump your soul in the trash where it belongs."

"How much longer am I going to be stuck here?" Medeia asked the system.

[Because you kept interacting with the object here, you won’t be able to escape anytime soon.]

Medeia shouted, "Then think harder!"

[The system has warned you to stop, Host! But you didn’t listen!]

She clicked her tongue, refusing to acknowledge her mistake. After a moment, she asked, "If I die here, can I get out?"

[The system can’t guarantee it will work 100%, but yes, you can.]

[However, your real body will mimic your actions here. If you stab yourself, your physical body will do the same.]

"How about I bury myself under the freezing snow? Maybe I’ll die of hypothermia, right?" asked Medeia.

[You can try that, Host.]

Without wasting any time, Medeia immediately dug a hole in the snow, ignoring her fingers that were starting to freeze and develop frostbite.

She didn’t like the idea of dying slowly, but it seemed to be the only way to ensure she wouldn’t be harmed in the real world.

Medeia gritted her teeth as the sharp chill pierced through her skin. Her hands were shoveling handfuls of snow aside.

With each second, the frostbite spread further, numbing her fingers, but she forced herself to keep going.

The hole she dug was deep enough to bury her body now.

Medeia slid inside, letting the cold snow envelop her. The cold was unbearable, seeping into her lungs and making every breath felt like a torture.

Her body trembled uncontrollably, but she didn’t try to stop it.

Her thoughts drifted to Lucian, wondering what kind of nightmare he had to face in the hallucination.

As the snow piled over her, darkness began to cover her vision. Her heartbeat slowed, her chest rising and falling in shallow gasps.

The last thing she felt was the suffocating weight of snow pressing down on her before her consciousness slipped away completely.

Once her eyes fluttered open, she was no longer in the freezing hell. Instead, she found herself half-buried in filthy mud.

Medeia immediately climbed to the surface, spitting out the disgusting sludge from her mouth. "Ugh, gross! Do you think there’s animal shit in this mud?" she muttered, wiping her lips with the back of her hand in disgust.

[Yes, Host. Some animals even enjoy rolling around in the mud. Aside from their shit, you might also end up swallowing—]

Medeia cut the system off. "Stop! Stop! I don’t want to hear it!"

As she was trying to clean the mud and dirt off her clothes, she heard the distant howl of a wolf.

"Woof! Woof!"

A massive black wolf came running toward her. Despite its menacing fangs, no one could deny the fear and worry reflected in its eyes.

"Bear!" Medeia spread her arms wide, welcoming the wolf into her embrace. "You didn’t get caught in the hallucination, did you?"

[It was also influenced by the hallucination, but Bear managed to escape faster than you.]

Maybe because Bear was an animal, its senses were sharper than a human’s. Therefore, it immediately realized it wasn’t in the real world and instinctively avoided the people within its hallucination.

"Good boy." Medeia hugged the wolf tightly, allowing it to lick the mud off her face. "You’re my best boy. Did you happen to see your Papa?"

Bear suddenly stiffened, as if he remembered something important. He then nudged Medeia’s hand with his nose, urging her to follow him.

Without questioning, Medeia followed the wolf. After walking for nearly half an hour, she finally saw Lucian walking alone in the darkness, heading towards a cliff ahead.

It It wasn’t an ordinary cliff, but the nest of many monsters that would tear him apart as soon as he fell.

"Lucian!" Medeia rushed toward him. "Lucian, stop!" she shouted, hoping he would hear her over the howling wind. But he continued to walk forward, unaware of the danger ahead.

Before he could walk any further, Medeia finally managed to reach his hand. His eyes were open, but they seemed empty, like someone in a sleepwalking trance.

"Hey, hey, wake up," Medeia said, trying to rouse him by tapping his face, but it didn’t work.

Should she just slap his face?

[If you use force to wake him up, you could damage his brain, Host.]
