Surviving As The Villainess's Attendant -
Chapter 104: Reward
Chapter 104: Reward
The night has settled down, today activity was not much for me since everyone is focusing on the dead Bjron and this Vigilante of the North—which was me. But no one knows about it.
...And due to that I was able to get some rest while Alice Draken attend the meeting with her father due this incident all most all day.
Anyway, now that I have completed quest.
It was time to check the rewards of my hard labour.
"Open the Class Quest."
As soon as I opened my and said it, A system window opened in front of me.
[Class Quest]
....I clicked on it.
[Class Quest Completed!]
[Class Quest details]

----
I had to kill one of three examples and I have killed The Bjron the butcher, human eater.
As I read through the glowing blue window floating in front of me, a sense of satisfaction bubbled in my chest.
Bjorn the Butcher was dead.
That grotesque cannibal who terrorized villages under the Empire’s blind eye... gone. Erased.
And with that, the system chimed again.
—Ding!—
[Quest Objective Met.]
[Processing Class Advancement Rewards...]
The screen shimmered, and then new lines began to appear.
[Reward Granted!]

"Shadow Pin, huh?" I muttered under my breath, already imagining how many fights this could help me turn around.
Simple, efficient, and perfect for someone who preferred to end battles before they began.
Another line of glowing text unfolded beneath the skill.
—Secret Title Unlocked: Vigilante of the North

I leaned back against the chair, the corner of my mouth twitching into a grin.
As the soft blue glow of the system window faded, I stared at the words for a long moment—Shadow Pin.
The skill icon shimmered gently in the corner of my vision, pulsing like it wanted to be touched. So I did.
A smaller window unfurled in front of me, displaying the details more vividly this time:
---

I whistled softly.
"Not bad at all..." I murmured, flexing my fingers as if I could already feel the movement. "It’s made for killing."
Just then, the familiar Ding! echoed again—sharp, mechanical, but oddly... expectant. Like the system itself had more to offer.
A new window popped open.

---
My eyes lingered on the list of rewards.
More than tempting—it was tailor-made for me.
I didn’t hesitate.
"Yes."
The moment the word left my lips, the floating screen shimmered, then collapsed into a single glowing line:
[Optional Quest Accepted — Twin Fangs, One Mission Remains]
A new icon appeared beside [Optional Quest]. Two crimson fangs crossed over a black circle—symbolic, ominous, and yet... satisfying.
I sat there for a moment longer, letting the information sink in. My thoughts drifted to the two remaining targets.
Cline Frostfang.
The slaver king who dealt in flesh like a merchant in spices. Operated in the icy ruins beyond the northern ridge. Known for his cruelty and the collars he forged from ice.
Merrin the Rat.
A broker of information and bodies. He didn’t kill people—he sold them to those who did. The worst kind of coward. The kind that hides behind others and profits from pain.
Both were trash. Both needed to go.
And now I had a reason beyond mere justice—beyond emotion.
I reached for my dagger on the table. The blade gleamed in the lamplight—silent, sharp, loyal.
With Shadow Pin and the Vigilante title, my toolkit had grown. But that wasn’t the end. It was just the beginning.
But for now, I will focus on the upcoming martial arts tournament that was coming and since this is the optional Quest without any time limit, There was no need to hurry.
I’ll take my time.
----
The time continue to move on, and soon enough I regained my full strength and started feeling better.
Not much happend within this time frame, aside from search Vigilante Of The North and even that didn’t bore any fruits for Draken Duchy.
In the meantime, I continued to practice the new skill that I gained from the system a week ago.
The Shadow Pin
At start I don’t even know how to use this skill, if it was Relic then I could understand but there was nothing aside from just it’s name.
At start, I thought I was scammed by the system but later shook my head.
There’s no way system will scammed.
I thought and continue to way to activate the the shadow pin.
..And after few hours practice I know how to activate it.
In a words it’s simple to understand, and now it was easy to use it too.
"Shadow Pin!"
Snap.
The shadow beneath my feet stretched unnaturally, peeling away from its natural shape. It slithered across the floor like a sentient liquid, jagged tendrils rising from it like spears of dark glass.
They froze mid-air—then struck.
Pin.
Dozens of needle-thin shadows shot outward, stabbing into...the wooden dummy across from me with eerie precision.
Thunk! Thunk! Thunk!
Each needle embedded itself into the dummy’s joints—shoulders, knees, ankles, elbows.
I stood still, heart pounding, watching as the wooden figure jerked, its arms swaying unnaturally before going completely limp.
"...Damn," I muttered, walking closer.
The impact wasn’t strong enough to break wood, but that wasn’t the point. The placement was surgical—meant to paralyze, not destroy.
My fingers brushed against one of the needles still vibrating faintly in the dummy’s knee. It dissolved into smoke the moment I touched it.
Ephemeral. Deadly. Silent.
I couldn’t help but smirk.
"Now this... is more like it."
My body had long since recovered, and my skill set was sharper than ever. With Shadow Pin mastered, the upcoming martial arts tournament wouldn’t just be another event—it would be my testing ground.
It was ironic, really. The world still searched for the Vigilante of the North, and here I was, preparing to stroll right into the spotlight of the tournament.
A public spectacle.
No masks. No cloaks. Just Julies Evans.
Let them chase shadows. I had work to do.
Still, the optional quest sat like a flame in the back of my mind. Frostfang and Merrin the Rat. Their names weren’t just on the system’s list—they were etched into my memory. Each one represented a world of suffering for people who never had a voice.
And now they had mine.
But like I told myself earlier... no rush.
The tournament was approaching fast. And beyond that, something else lingered in the wind—something I couldn’t quite put my finger on.
For now, I sheathed my dagger, letting the shadows melt back into the floor.
"Let’s win the tournament first," I said quietly, my reflection staring back at me from the windowpane.
"Then we hunt again."
---
Elsewhere...
Deep beneath the ruins of Frostfang Hold, a cloaked man read from a small glowing crystal orb.
The image of Bjorn’s mutilated corpse flickered in and out of view.
"So, the Butcher has fallen..." he murmured, setting the orb down on a bloodstained table.
"Vigilante of the North, was it?"
A low, amused laugh echoed through the chamber.
"It will be fun."
