Supremely Talented Tyrant -
Chapter 896 - 895: Who Am I for You to Care?!
"Report, Commander! Hao Jian and another person have unauthorized entry into the military base, and our men cannot stop them!"
In a place piled with goods, a group of people is busily hammering away, creating a clanging sound, almost immediately followed by the sight of jewelry turned into fragments, scattering on the ground.
Not far away, in a rest area, Dong Aiguo and a few subordinates are drinking tea, watching the busy scene outside. Just then, a wounded soldier, stumbling, rushes in front of Dong Aiguo, hurriedly salutes, and urgently speaks.
"Useless! How could you let that kid get in again!"
Upon hearing, Dong Aiguo's originally smiling face instantly turns cold. He suddenly turns his head, shouting angrily at the soldier, causing all the soldiers present to feel a chill; their actions halt, silencing in dread.
Only Dong Aiguo's close subordinates can speak to him without much fear. The ordinary soldiers respect him immensely, and now seeing his anger, they are even more afraid that Dong Aiguo might vent his fury on them, which would be a disaster without reason, hence, silence becomes the best response.
"Bastards! You few, come with me to check it out!"
Since Ling Bing is injured and recuperating, not by his side, Dong Aiguo can only have some of his stronger subordinates accompany him as bodyguards. Knowing that Hao Jian has intruded again, he waves his hand to have these people follow him.
"You, lead us!"
Standing up, Dong Aiguo points at the soldier and then orders him.
"Yes!"
The soldier quickly nods, turns around with a snap, and leads the way. But as he steps forward, a slight pain causes him to grimace; during his fight with Hao Jian, he didn't retreat in time and was kicked away, his abdomen still faintly aching.
Now, moving still strains his wound, but it luckily doesn't hinder his steps, he slightly adjusts and continues to lead the way.
Following behind him, Dong Aiguo remains grim-faced. His goods are not yet fully destroyed, still more than half remain, he must go and intercept Hao Jian. Blocking them for a while longer will cause Hao Jian to suffer more loss, easing his anger somewhat.
As Dong Aiguo's troops head toward Hao Jian's previous location, Hao Jian and his companion are continuously defeating soldiers of various ranks, eventually seeing a storage place not far off. With extraordinary eyesight, they see soldiers busily coming in and out inside.
"Let's go! I have a bad feeling!"
Seeing such unusual busyness, Hao Jian's expression turns grim; a feeling of unease lingers in his mind, refusing to leave.
"Mm!"
Secretary Zhang also nods heavily, quickly advancing behind Hao Jian—on their way, all soldiers charge at Hao Jian. Even standing beside him, it's as if they don't see Secretary Zhang, only rushing past him.
Secretary Zhang's identity is known throughout the military district, such an important figure isn't someone they can provoke; even Dong Aiguo himself wouldn't dare talk back to Secretary Zhang, much less these people.
All soldiers surge forward, tasked with stopping Hao Jian. Even if they can't entirely stop him, they must delay him, never allowing him to enter the military base smoothly.
Orders are absolute, and since Dong Aiguo commanded it, in this situation, not advancing would invite a severe reprimand from Dong Aiguo.
"Damn it!"
When Hao Jian and his companion arrive at their destination, they're startled by the busy scene, making his already grim countenance darken further, eyes flashing with a cold glare. He roars in anger, "Everyone get the hell out! Anyone who dares to make a move again will be executed without mercy!"
The ground and tables, everywhere are littered with fragments of various jewelry—jade, gold, and silver—originally priceless pieces now reduced to scattered rubble. One could only discern their past splendor from the destroyed outlines.
Hao Jian's eyes turn bloodshot; these jewelry pieces, worth up to a billion, have been mostly destroyed by these people. Even what's left might not be worth a hundred million, making this situation rather precarious.
"Kid! Who are you?!"
A burly man over two meters tall steps forward arrogantly, looking at Hao Jian. Unaware of what's been happening outside, he doesn't know Hao Jian's true power, but he unconsciously wants to greet Secretary Zhang.
Yet, remembering Dong Aiguo's departing words—to beat anyone who intrudes to death, regardless of who they are—he holds back.
As Dong Aiguo's subordinate, he follows his orders dutifully; Dong Aiguo values his loyalty and prowess, which is why he was left here, tasked with destroying all of Hao Jian's goods and witnessing Hao Jian's reaction.
However, due to Hao Jian's intrusion, Dong Aiguo was led away, worrying his subordinates that Hao Jian might act rashly and harm Dong Aiguo.
If Hao Jian had followed a fixed route, he might have encountered Dong Aiguo earlier, but constant interception delayed him, giving Dong Aiguo time to avoid him.
By the time Hao Jian arrived, all the goods were destroyed, and there's no confronting Dong Aiguo for answers; Dong Aiguo could easily feign ignorance, blaming his clumsy underlings for the destruction.
The "law doesn't punish the masses" principle applies, particularly given the many involved, Hao Jian could only swallow his grievances.
"Who am I? I'm the one who can take your life!"
Seeing this man blocking his way, Hao Jian's eyes flash with cold light as he softly declares. He fiercely stamps the ground, launching towards the man, sweeping a swift kick towards his chest mid-air, striking before the man can react...
"Bang!"
"Pfft!"
Hearing Hao Jian's arrogant words, the man is furious, about to retort, when he sees a blur and feels intense pain in his chest, the scene spinning. A sweet sensation rises in his throat as he spits a mouthful of blood.
"Courting death!"
That tall male soldier, the highest officer present, seeing his leader taken down by an unknown kid with a single kick, all the soldiers drop what they're doing, grabbing nearby guns, pointing at Hao Jian, and shouting loudly.
"Hahaha! Just what I needed!"
Taking a closer look, there are over twenty people here. Seeing all these guys draw their guns, Hao Jian bursts into laughter, waving his hand and sending a wave of Qi Force, pushing Secretary Zhang to the doorway.
A gunfight may ensue, so keeping Secretary Zhang at a distance prevents potential harm, Hao Jian ensures Secretary Zhang's safety before engaging these foes!
"Bang!"
As Hao Jian pushes Secretary Zhang aside, a gunshot rings out. Hao Jian tilts slightly to the left, the bullet sparking past his pants to the ground, emitting a faint wisp of smoke.
"Bang bang bang!"
One gunshot triggers a cascade, bursts of gunfire like raindrops on the ground. Bullets streak with faint sparks and whistling, rapidly nearing Hao Jian. Each trajectory requires precision evasion.
"Whoosh whoosh whoosh!"
Hao Jian, face grim, moves with swift precision, utilizing incredible dodging techniques, astonishing the soldiers with eyes wide in disbelief.
"Is this... possible?! How could anyone dodge bullets?!"
With trembling lips, soldiers stare at Hao Jian in awe. In the military district, strength is revered, reducing mission casualties—an admirable trait.
Witnessing Hao Jian's prowess, soldiers hurriedly discard their guns. Still, Hao Jian doesn't relent, stamping the ground to leap ahead, delivering lightning-fast punches.
"Boom boom boom!"
Each punch lands on soldiers, and in a mere six seconds, Hao Jian dispatches over twenty opponents. All lie unconscious by walls or crates.
Despite these soldiers being Dong Aiguo's men, Hao Jian refrains from harsh blows—they're guardians of national safety, after all!
