Chapter 269: A Carriage of Beauties
Chapter 269: A Carriage of Beauties
A Carriage of Beauties
Rias blinked, a soft breath leaving her lips. "...Lira..."
The three riders approached the courtyard, their horses coming to a steady stop in front of Leon’s carriage. Each dismounted individually—each action being one of deliberate steps, fluid ease, and irrepressibly graceful.
The first to descend was the silver-haired girl. Snowy hair glinted in the morning sun, falling down the length of her back like silk. Her pale blue eyes, serene yet full of a mischievous glint, swept across the assembly before her. She had a pale blue linen blouse that clung softly to her body, highlighting the soft curves of her young frame. Her blouse clung to her modest but refined C-cup bust, rising and falling gently as she breathed. White riding pants fitted her hips and thighs perfectly, tracing the gentle swing of her walk and the long, impossibly slender length of her legs. Her own beauty had a quiet nobility—those cheekbones, soft lips, and delicate air all so reminiscent of someone they already knew.
A younger Queen Sona.
Princess Lira.
Next to her, the second person slid down off her horse with the deadly precision of a trained warrior. Long dark hair, pulled back into a tidy high ponytail, moved with her. Her dark eyes were keen, her gaze controlled, and her back straight. She had on black combat pants that clung to her hard thighs and hips, their girth a testament to hours of training by the score. A tight-fitting tee stretched over her D-cup breasts, hard and unapologetically prominent. Her waist was trim, hips wide and amazingly feminine under the functional attire, and yet she looked nowhere near soft—she was a full-on warrior. Her name was Tsubaki—Lira’s faithful knight and trusted personal bodyguard.
Both lovely and commanding, she exuded quiet strength and feminine self-discipline.
Tsubaki.
And behind them, the last figure rode down from horseback in silence. Head to boot dressed in dark steel armor, the man’s face hidden behind a polished helm. His posture was imposing, rock-like, and commanding—every step of his that of years of battlefield leadership. There was no need to make introductions.
Commander Adrin.
The man who oversaw Moonspire’s Total defenses. One of the capital’s most trusted and loyal captains.
The three of them walked across the courtyard together, commanding every eye. They made the air itself seem thick.
The three wives of Leon shared confused glances. Rias furrowed her brows, Cynthia gazed at Leon with silent questions in her eyes, and even reserved Mia looked around in confusion. No one had said a word about this. No one had warned them about it.
Leon, however, didn’t appear surprised.
He just smiled, a slight curve at the corner of his mouth—subtle, aware.
He had been anticipating them.
As they approached the group, both Tsubaki and Commander Adrin bowed their heads in exquisite synchrony.
"Greetings, Lord Leon. My ladies," they stated, voices firm and respectful.
Leon nodded to them softly, his smile gentle yet authoritative. "Stand up, Commander Adrin. Miss Tsubaki.
The two bowed respectfully and then stood up straight. Suddenly, another voice joined in—light, playful, and taunting.
Lira moved forward with a flashing smile and an upraised hand. "Hello, Lord Leon."
His lips curled into a more intense smile, his eyes squinting ever so slightly with subdued amusement. There was something familiar in how she held herself—her poised stance, the glint in her eyes, even the sound of her voice. All of it reminded him of Sona, yet still, Lira possessed an aura of charm all her own.
"Hello, Princess," he said smoothly, his voice warm and even.
Lira’s smile lit up at Leon’s words. Then, her eyes sparkling with mischief, she turned to the group of women standing in front of her. Her hand rising playfully, she flashed her trademark smile. "Hey! Surprise~"
Rias blinked, surprised for a moment before her face changed to one of amusement. Her hand rising slowly in a greeting, a smirk playing on her lips. "Oh? Look who came to visit."
Her gaze dipped to Lira’s travel outfit, and it only took a second for the pieces to fall into place. Her brows shot up. "Wait a second... don’t tell me—you’re actually coming with us?"
Lira let out a soft giggle, clearly enjoying the reaction. "Bingo~"
The news hit like a rock cast into a peaceful lake. The shockwave of astonishment rippled throughout the group—eyes opening wide, sideways glances, and an unmistakable hum in the air.
"Seriously?" Aria inched forward, purple eyes dancing with curiosity. "You didn’t say a word about this last night."
"Because it wouldn’t have been a surprise then," Lira said with a grin, flipping her silver hair over her shoulder.
Mia blinked several times, and then let out a little laugh, her shoulders unkinking. "Lira. you surprised me for a moment! I thought perhaps we were being attacked."
Lira inched forward, smiling. "Wouldn’t be the worst type of attack, either."
Mia laughed once more, the tension utterly gone from her voice now. "Good point."
Syra arched an eyebrow, looking her up and down. "So, you’re really coming along? This isn’t just a royal bodyguard halfway?"
"Oh, I’m so in," Lira said with pride. "Suitcase packed. Snacks pilfered. Prepared for mayhem."
Kyra smiled knowingly. "Then we better have space for the drama queen."
"Excuse you, I’m a princess, thank you very much," Lira said playfully with mock offense.
Even Cynthia smiled slightly, arms crossed but eyes relaxed. "Well, at least we won’t be bored."
Leon didn’t say a word, his grin never wavering as he watched the teasing. Their warmth was genuine—friendship tinged with fondness, playfulness, and familiarity. Lira had passed from mere guest to a part of them. She belonged.
Leon, still sporting a calm grin, didn’t utter a word. But in his mind, his thoughts churned.
Then—
Ding!
A familiar ring resonated within his brain.

Leon blinked, his placid facade never wavering. The system had stirred again—always reacting to the wellings of his lust.
His eyes flashed for an instant toward Lira’s form, the fit of her traveling attire accentuating her provocative curves, bright and elegant. Then, to Tsubaki—her trained posture failing to conceal the sinful beauty of her form, chiseled and powerful.
He did not deceive himself.
He desired them.
And the system, ever watchful, knew this.
But panic never touched him. Instead, a subtle smirk ghosted across his lips.
He would win.
He always did.
Just then, his wives began to recover from their collective surprise. Rias stepped forward with a sly look, folding her arms under her chest. Her smirk was both teasing and sharp. "You’re bold for showing up like this."
"I had permission," Lira replied with a playful wink. "From both father and mother."
The women surrounding her cocked their brows in unison, surprised at the blunt but casual declaration.
Commander Adrin approached, his face serene and unruffled. From his ring of storage, he drew out a royal scroll bearing the shimmering crescent moon symbol of Moonspire.
"This is from His Majesty himself," he declared, holding out the scroll in both his hands.
Leon’s brow rose in subtle surprise, but he took it in stride. The seal glinted in morning light—royal, indubitable.
Opening it up, he unrolled the scroll and started to read. The King’s formal script spelled out a straightforward message:
