The two took a flying puppet, preparing to return to Dragon Sword Island.

"Ye Xuan, my family, the Lin family, is located in Three Rivers City nearby. Since we are passing by, why not visit my home?" Lin Wan suddenly suggested as they passed a city.

"That sounds good."

Ye Xuan nodded. Since they were just passing by, there was no harm in visiting; besides, there was nothing urgent waiting for him back at Dragon Sword Island.

The pair changed their course and landed in a nearby city.

After about ten minutes of walking, Lin Wan smiled gracefully at Ye Xuan, obviously honored to have him visit the Lin family.

"What’s wrong?"

Noticing the change in Lin Wan’s expression, Ye Xuan couldn’t help but ask.

"They’re from the Chenn family."

Lin Wan’s face suddenly turned cold. Her family and the Chenn family in Three Rivers City were archenemies, the kind that never interacted. The presence of the Chenn family’s people here definitely boded no good.

"Let’s go inside and see what’s happening."

Ye Xuan’s expression remained neutral as he walked confidently into the estate.

The pair proceeded through the estate, interacting with some maids along the way, and soon learned what was happening – the people outside were indeed from the Chenn family, and the purpose of their visit was for Chenn Xuan, the Young Master of the Chenn family, to propose marriage to the Lin family.

At that moment, the atmosphere inside the council hall was tense. Several strong members of the Chenn family stood with arms crossed, smirking coldly at the Lin family members. "We need to think this over. Moreover, Waner is not currently in the Lin family; we need to consult her opinion," a middle-aged man in a blue robe from the Lin family spoke after pondering for a moment.
