Chapter 441: Chapter 438 Xuantian Sect
The appearance of the Blood Devouring Demon Venerable was just a minor interlude. After he left, everyone arrived on the bustling streets of a large city. The streets were teeming with people, and now and then, one could sense a couple of powerful auras amongst the crowd.
"This is Zhou Tian City, the largest city in the Yunlan Domain," Elder Jin introduced to Ye Xuan.
"Zhou Tian City, the Yunlan Domain?"
Ye Xuan wasn’t familiar with the Spirit Martial Continent; he only had a general idea that there were nine Spirit Domains, and the Yunlan Domain must be one of them.
"That’s right, there are nine Spirit Domains on the Spirit Martial Continent, and the Yunlan Domain is the southernmost," Elder Jin continued to explain. "Each domain is vast and boundless. They are ranked as the Upper Three, Middle Three, and Lower Three. The Yunlan Domain can only be placed among the Lower Three. Besides our Xuantian Sect, there are two other Sixth Grade Sects here, the Daluo Heavenly Palace and the Holy Demon Cave Heaven. Their influence is not inferior to our sect. Moreover, the relationship between these two sects is far from harmonious."
"Besides, there are more than ten Fifth Grade Sects, and the number of Fourth and Third Grade Sects and below is even greater. There are eight hundred sects in the Yunlan Domain."
Elder Jin said indifferently.
"Eight hundred sects, that many?"
Ling Qianxue, Dugu Hao, and others all showed shocked expressions. Eight hundred sects, what was that concept? That was just the number of sects in the Yunlan Domain. If you counted the other eight domains, the number of sects would probably be in the tens of thousands.
It was truly a land with thousands of sects, a sacred place of Martial Arts.
"All right, now that we’re here, we should part ways,"
Standing in front of a grand hall, Elder Jin looked towards the envoys of the seven sects. Naturally, they all needed to take their disciples back to their respective sects, as their paths were different.
In Zhou Tian City, there were several Transmission Arrays leading to different territories, and the Xuantian Sect had its exclusive Transmission Array.
"Elder Jin, then we’ll take our leave."
The six sect envoys all bowed their hands and then prepared to leave with their disciples.
"You go ahead. Once things have settled down, I’ll come find you."
Ye Xuan signaled to Ling Qianxue and Nangong Yao. Although they weren’t in the same sect, they probably wouldn’t be too far apart and would certainly have the chance to meet again in the future.
After hearing what Ye Xuan said, the two women nodded and then left with the envoy of the Snow Soul Palace.
"The Snow Soul Palace is not simple; it’s not just an ordinary Fifth Grade Sect. There has always been a rumor in the Yunlan Domain that the Snow Soul Palace is a branch of the Seventh Grade Sect Snow God Mountain. If this is true, then if these two young ladies have enough talent, their future is truly boundless," Elder Jin suddenly said with a hint of speculation in his eyes.
"Oh, is that so?"
Ye Xuan’s eyes lit up a little. A Seventh Grade Sect was among the most powerful forces on the Spirit Martial Continent. If that was the case, then Ling Qianxue and Nangong Yao’s fortunes might indeed be quite deep.
"Alright, let’s go. You better take care of yourself first. Every time new Inner Sect Disciples are recruited from the Chaotic Sea Domain, they are faced with numerous challenges. When you get to the sect, you’ll find out,"
Elder Jin patted Ye Xuan on the shoulder and then smiled.
Xuantian Sect’s Inner Sect Disciples, which one wasn’t a proud son of heaven? They were outstanding individuals selected from prominent Martial Arts families, many of whom were Martial Venerates at a young age. Ye Xuan, coming from the Chaotic Sea Domain, was seen as coming from a remote backwater, directly obtaining the status of an Inner Sect Disciple and being on equal footing with them, would certainly draw disdain from many proud geniuses.
"Fortune and misfortune depend on each other; what is to come will always come."
Ye Xuan didn’t panic at all at what Elder Jin said; he even seemed quite calm.
"Kid, you have the right attitude. Let’s go."
Elder Jin looked at Ye Xuan with some admiration. He was just giving the latter a heads-up, but he understood Ye Xuan’s strength, although the latter wasn’t high in realm, his real combat power was something even he, an Outer Sect Elder, dared not underestimate.
He suspected that Ye Xuan already had the ability to challenge him, a Second Grade Martial Venerate.
...
Spirit Martial Continent, Yunlan Domain, a vast land filled with innumerable legends. From the distant ancient times to the present, this land gave birth to earth-shaking giants of power. The strength they possessed spanned the ancient to the modern era, their majesty, even after hundreds and thousands of years, still intimidated the masses and inspired awe for the land.
Xuantian Sect, as a Sixth Grade Sect within the Yunlan Domain, had profound foundations. Looking across the entire Spirit Martial Continent, it was a well-known existence.
Besides Xuantian Sect, Daluo Heavenly Palace and Holy Demon Cave Heaven were also Sixth Grade Sects in the Yunlan Domain, carving out their territories. Below the three major sects were hundreds of sects Fifth Grade and below, shining like stars, with sects emerging and falling every day, endless competition shrouding the land.
Although the three Sixth Grade Sects in the Yunlan Domain were the most powerful, the other Fifth Grade Sects were no trivial matter. Despite the considerable gap between them and the top three sects, everyone in this world aspired to climb higher.
Competition between sects was always a bloody and brutal struggle.
Xuantian Sect was located at the southernmost edge of the Yunlan Domain, in a vast area known as the Tianxuan Mountain Range. The Yunlan Domain was vast and divided by countless sects. The territories governed by Xuantian Sect mostly encompassed coastal areas, such as the Chaotic Sea Domain, which was an offshore area under the sect’s jurisdiction.
Such offshore regions, with their thin Spiritual Energy, seldom produced any talents. Therefore, to Xuantian Sect, the Chaotic Sea Domain was an insignificant place, trivial in the grand scheme of things.
Deep within the endless expanses of the Tianxuan Mountain Range, swirling clouds were distinctly split apart, and countless towering mountains clustered together, where one could vaguely see the majestic buildings that seemed endless atop these massive peaks.
These grand structures were enveloped by a layer of Prohibition, seemingly there yet not. It was possible to see ancient and vicarious grand halls standing tall, and beneath the vast sky, countless figures moved swiftly, creating an indescribable force that shot straight into the heavens.
The next moment, within the Prohibition of one of the plazas, the space suddenly twisted, and the ground’s Array brightened abruptly. Four or five figures appeared within one of the Transmission Arrays.
"The foundations of a Sixth Grade Sect are indeed immensely profound."
Ye Xuan could sense the ancient aura emanating from within Xuantian Sect, a feeling of age that could only belong to a sect with thousands of years of heritage.
"What do you think? Impressive, isn’t it?"
Elder Jin looked at Ye Xuan with some pride. Usually, newcomers were astonished by such a sight, after all, this was the unique aura of Xuantian Sect, being a Sixth Grade Sect.
"A bit."
Ye Xuan was only slightly surprised in his heart. To say he was shaken, that was not the case at all. But since Elder Jin had asked, he could only nod and act as one normally would in response.
Whoosh whoosh!
Just as Ye Xuan had nodded, the sound of something breaking through the air suddenly echoed across the plaza, and several young figures descended onto the plaza one after another.
"Greetings to Elder Jin."
Spotting Elder Jin, these disciples immediately bowed their hands in greeting. Xuantian Sect had many Outer Sect Elders, but Elder Jin was known to be competent and favored by those above him, holding some renown among the disciples.
"You’ve arrived just in time. Let me introduce you, these are new disciples selected from the Chaotic Sea Domain. I was about to take them to register." Elder Jin smiled faintly and casually explained.
"Newcomers?"
The dozen or so disciples only then realized, and they looked at Ye Xuan and the others with playful eyes, their gaze sharp. Except for Ye Xuan, the rest of the newcomers avoided eye contact, clearly far inferior to these true Xuantian Sect disciples.
"Elder Jin, you’ve worked hard, picking a few decent disciples from a place like the Chaotic Sea Domain is truly not easy. Why don’t you go back and rest; we’ll take these disciples to register for you," said the leading Xuantian Sect disciple, a white-clothed young man in his mid-twenties. He looked at Ye Xuan and the others with a smile, though his eyes held malice.
As everyone knows, newcomers are always looked down upon in any sect, and Ye Xuan’s group came from the Chaotic Sea Domain, a place these Xuantian Sect disciples considered worthless.
Elder Jin knew all too well that they probably wanted to rough up the new disciples.
On a normal day, he might not have refused, but now with Ye Xuan here, he was not going to agree.
So he shook his head, "That won’t do. Among the new disciples recruited from the Chaotic Sea Domain this time, there are some who are not so simple. I must personally take him to the Inner Sect to register."
"Not so simple, how so?"
The white-clothed young man was slightly surprised. Anyone Elder Jin spoke so highly of must not be useless; he was curious if a talent could really emerge from a sewer like the Chaotic Sea Domain.
"I can only say that with his aptitude, he is well qualified to join the elite ranks of the Inner Sect," said Elder Jin with a firm look in his eyes.
"What?"
Not just the white-clothed young man, but all the Xuantian Sect disciples he led were somewhat shocked. Xuantian Sect divided the disciples into the Inner and Outer Sect identities, with different teachings and cultivation resources. However, within the Inner Sect disciples, there was an elite class. The elite class was filled with the sect’s prodigies, each one a true genius with endless potential and highly valued by the sect.
