First 1.500 - 1.700 are honestly accually pretty good 4/5 i would say decent charachter progression very intresting power system, couple decent plot twist's and good world building overall.
then from 1.700 - 2390 it start's getting worse becomes more a bit more dry author makes increasibly random desicions but! still a solid 3-3.5/5 i would personally say.
BUT OH BOY after that straight 2390 - 3700 NOTHING happens and it will prob continue this way for thousand's more author loves pretending it does some reader's too but it's the same mental issues and drama being recyceld over and over and over he's also been stuck for 2k chptr's roughly at the peak of the 2nd last core ( power system ) the only progression power wise he makes are just completely random and nonsensical artifact's and tools that barely make sense, but u would think great hes still getting stronger but it dusen't matter every fight author nerf's him into the floor one moment he is fighting practically the peak of his verse on equal footing and then next he get's bullied into a near death state by a random dude from the super market
if author ended this around 1.500 - 1.700 i would have happenly given it a 4-4.5/5 but with how hard he hase ruined his own novel refusing to let it die for money ( prob just geussing ) it dusent even deserve the goddamm 0.5 star's i have to give it
i loved reading this novel at the start bro i really did and i hope L20 puts this novel out of it's misery he hase basicly ruined his own legacy cause i sure as hell wont read what he writes after this is done anymore i dont trust him enough to take care / care about his own novel's IF HE EVER ENDS IT THAT IS if you ever want to read this read untill roughly 1.7k those are the only chapter's worth reading
It's good until the 2000s, then it goes into a repetitive cycle: Lith relaxes for a while, then someone comes and pokes him, then they fight, Lith loses control, wins and goes home to relax and the cycle starts all over again. And dont let me start talking about that orphan guy.
Overall, the best novel. It's the perfect combination between Magic, Cultivation and bloodlines. Has a little bit of everything, from comedy to tragedy from pure action, epic moments to sweer family momengs and an complete romance plot. The Mc has full development, the secondary characters too are one of the best part of the story. Super recommended.
This is one of the few novels I liked. Great character development, almost epic. Most of the legendary figures in the starting are alive and is like in a constant state of war. But those small bits of peace and training makes it perfect. Yeah, the protagonist is a little crazy but overall a positive person, besides even if he is insane, we like insane MC's. I have read only until 1600s , till now it is good.
The early phases of Supreme Magus are often praised and well-loved. But many longtime readers hit a narrative wall—marked by filler, drama-heavy arcs, and pacing issues. If you’re still early in your read, stick around a bit and reassess around chapters 600–800. That’ll help you decide if it’s worth seeing through—or if you’d rather switch to something leaner and more consistent
Goddamn this hsit still going. I remember in 2020 it still going. Fkg hell. End this s*it already. Why tf poeple stil reading this s*it.being in the same stage for 2000 chp is not normal dude
The start of the novel was fun, the middle was fun although annoying because author has no idea how to write females. After that, it's just trash. Author will milk it till the end of the world. Don't waste your time.
Note: This review doesn’t contain major spoilers, but it discusses the general pacing and narrative focus of the story. That said, this review will probably get a lot of dislikes—just being honest. The novel is incredible—let me break it down. In the beginning, the story focuses more on the protagonist’s developing powers and growth, along with some character development within his family. Because of this early focus on magic and a bit of teenage drama, a lot of people tend to really enjoy the start.
But the novel’s goal isn’t to make the main character into a god at lightning speed. The author follows the logic and pacing of the world he created, where each new arc becomes increasingly difficult, and where some beings take hundreds of years to reach their level. Of course, the protagonist progresses faster than normal, but it’s not exaggerated—especially considering the realistic approach to magic that the author is building.
A lot of the negative comments are coming in because the focus shifts as the story goes on. What used to be all about magic, spells, and fellow mages becomes more of a secondary element. The spotlight turns toward character development—how the protagonist grows or even regresses through different events, and how the characters become more human and relatable.
If that kind of storytelling sounds interesting to you, I highly recommend giving it a try. But if you're looking for nonstop action and rapid power-ups, it might not be for you. Personally, I’ve loved it from the beginning. It feels like watching a tabletop RPG campaign, where it’s not just about epic battles and blowing everything up with power, but also about learning more about the world, crying over well-developed characters who die, and getting emotionally invested.
That was my experience, and I hope you read this review before starting or judging the novel based on the comments. Sorry if anything sounds off—I'm Brazilian, so there might be a small error or two because of translation tools.😉Edit: I'm currently on chapter 3747.
The novel is the biggest piece of dogshit I have ever seen. Only the starting chapters look good and unique but after it, this will be the most boring thing you have ever read. Also, he did not marry Solus and have a kid with some other girl. Solus has also no love interest towards the main character and is shown more like a sister of his.
This is an amazing story. The characters are well developed and more realistic. This story encompasses an amazing world and the story includes life, adventures and family it is obvious the author has life experiences. I like that this novel has a story it's not just one action battle to the next it has heart and a storyline that anyone can get behind. The author shows a good understanding of relationships and the true difficulties of family and love. When my grandchildren come of age I will introduce this to them and they will love it. This would also make an amazing book series. Can't wait for the next chapters. Real heroes look more like lith than than the perfect fake heroes portrayed it other books and stories.
