Chapter 338: It’s time for us to leave

“Belle, — Idan Arabel called. He gave her some time and an opportunity to explain and show the objects from their world to the Master and the others. He watched as Arabel showed off things from their world with great enthusiasm, while enjoying their reactions.

“What?” — Arabel asked, momentarily distracted from the demonstrations of another thing, when she heard Idan’s voice.

“It’s time for us to leave,” Idan said bluntly.

“Already?” her mood instantly dropped, and the smile that was playing on her face disappeared.

“Yes, if we want to rescue the abducted people, it’s time for us to leave,” Idan added.

“Okay, — Arabel agreed, looking at the pile of things in front of her. She understood that people’s lives were more important than all these things in front of her.

“Are you leaving already?” Milica asked, noticing the couple whispering softly.

“Yes, Master. It’s time for Arabel and me to leave,” Idan nodded.

“It seems that you have already made a decision?” asked Milica, approaching her younger students.

Idan and Arabel exchanged a quick glance, then turned to Milica and nodded.

Seeing their confident and determined gazes, Milica sighed softly.

“I have a lot of things I would like to say, but I’ll wait until next time. Just be careful and come back safe and sound. Remember that you are always welcome here, so come back as soon as you can.” With these words, Milica hugged her younger students.

“Thank you, Master,” they thanked her and hugged her tightly in return.

“So, are you teleporting to another world right away, or are you teleporting to your own world first?” asked Sierra, following Milica up to the couple.

“We don’t have much time. If we return to our world, it will take us a whole day to regain our teleportation ability. And using a portal opened by another party from our world is risky. We don’t know if they’re waiting for us on the other side or not. Therefore, I believe that the safest option would be to immediately teleport from here to another world. While we look around and study the situation, the teleportation ability will have time to recover before the deadline, and we will have insurance just in case,” Idan announced his preliminary plan.

Sierra, after listening to Idan’s plan, nodded, recognizing it as acceptable.

“Idan, take this with you,” Sierra said, handing him a small pendant decorated with a beautiful black stone on a black chain. “Since you are going to an incomplete world of Darkness and Light, this pendant will help you hide your proximity to the Light from the creatures of Darkness.”

“Oh? Really?” Idan was pleasantly surprised and happily accepted the pendant.

“Thank you, Sierra. Really, thank you for this gift,” he said, although he already had a rough idea how to hide his proximity to the element of light. However, the support from a creature of Legendary rank, whose main element is Darkness, was exactly what he needed right now.

“Don’t get me wrong, Idan. I’m only doing this for my little sister. If something happens to her beloved boyfriend, she will be very upset, and I don’t want that to happen,” Sierra said with a smile, glancing at Arabel.

“Thank you very much, Sister,” Arabel couldn’t contain her words of gratitude, touched by Sierra’s concern.

“Well, well, don’t mention it, sis, — Sierra replied. “Be careful, little sister, and come back safe and sound with your boyfriend. And also, little sister, if you have the opportunity, then take for me the same creature of darkness with whom you have established a connection.”

Arabel was surprised by Sierra’s unexpected request. But then, remembering the benefits this creature had brought to her understanding of the element of darkness, she realized how attractive it was even to a creature like Sierra.

“Okay, — Arabel agreed, not refusing Sierra’s request.

As soon as Sierra finished speaking, Lucinda came over to them. All this time, she kept her eyes on Idan, not noticing Arabel, which irritated the latter.

“Idan,” Lucinda said to Idan, “If Geminia’s words are true, then you are the only person in Junonia who has the Lumiar bloodline. So be careful and come back safe and sound.”

Idan nodded at Lucinda, looking at her carefully. He was well aware that her attitude towards him had changed a lot—first because of the discovery that he, like her, had an affinity for the element of light, and then because of his second bloodline.

“By the way, Lucinda, I wanted to ask how the Hero is doing?” asked Idan, realizing that of all those present, she was the closest to the Hero.

“It’s very complicated,” Lucinda said softly. “He (she) has not yet fully accepted his new self and what happened then.”

After a short pause, noticing that all eyes were focused on her, she said with a slight annoyance:

“We could solve the problems with pregnancy, because it’s been a little over a week since conception. However, because of this cursed Sacred Weapon that forbids any interference with the fetus’ life, we are powerless.”

“What? Does the Sacred Staff protect the fetus?” Idan couldn’t help but ask, as if he had heard something incredible. The others were also amazed.

“Yes,” Lucinda nodded, confirming her words.

Upon hearing this, everyone froze in silence for a few seconds.

“We didn’t mention it, but we have a way to return the Hero to his former gender,” Idan admitted, which surprised Lucinda very much. Before she could come to her senses and ask a question, he continued, “However, I’m not sure what will happen to the fetus after the restoration of the Hero’s gender. And I want to warn you right away that it’s not free.”

“Are you telling the truth? Are you not lying?” asked Lucinda excitedly.

“Yes, it’s true, I’m not lying,” Idan confirmed. “Therefore, first we need to resolve the issue of the fetus and its future fate.”

“I don’t think there’s any problem here,” Geminia interjected. “Let the Hero wait nine months, give birth to a child, and only then regain his former gender.”

In Geminia’s eyes, the situation with the Hero looked simply, and there’s nothing complicated about it.

“It’s not as simple as ours. The Hero is a representative of humanity, and people have a hard time with emotions. I’m not sure if his psyche can handle such an experience,” Lucinda said.

“Belle and I are human too,” Idan said, and upon hearing this, Sierra laughed first, followed by the others.

“Let’s discuss this next time,” Idan suggested, then looked at Lucinda and spoke to her through a mental link.: “Lucinda, between you and me, we can not only return the gender of the Hero, but also change his bloodline to the Lumiar bloodline.”

“What?” — Lucinda exclaimed in surprise, and when the meaning of his words dawned on her, her eyes shone.: “You’re not kidding, are you?”

“No, it’s not a joke. And, of course, it’s not free,” Idan replied through a mental link.

“What are you whispering about?” Arabel remarked, displeased that Idan was communicating with Lucinda through a mental link.

“Heh, Belle, I can’t hide anything from you,” Idan said, laughing. “The thing is…”

Without hiding what he had just proposed to Lucinda, Idan shared his thoughts with Arabel through a mental link.

To Idan’s surprise, Arabel didn’t show much surprise when she heard his words.

“Did you know about this?” Idan couldn’t resist asking, staring at her intently.

“That not only we, but also others can change our bloodlines by drinking potions purchased in the «Trade» function?” asked Arabel.

Idan stared at Arabel with some suspicion. Noticing his gaze, Arabel put her index finger to her lips and smiled mysteriously.:

“Secret.”

Idan, even more confused by her behavior, tried to understand what she meant.

While Idan was lost in thought, Eulalia came up to him and Arabel. But she wasn’t alone. She had someone with her whom Idan and Arabel hadn’t seen in a long time.

Next to Eulalia was the second Eulalia, or rather, the one whose name was Eva. It was the perfect doppelganger, with whom Eulalia signed her first contract.
