Chapter 2224 - 2224 2214 Sealing the Five Senses

2224: Chapter 2214: Sealing the Five Senses 2224: Chapter 2214: Sealing the Five Senses Long Yan took out two Marching Pills from inside the Azure Dragon Ring and placed them in his mouth.

Such a simple action triggered dozens of attacks from Huqiu, which Long Yan evaded with the excellent reflexes conferred by the Martial God Array.

After taking the Marching Pills, Long Yan felt some of his depleted True Qi recovering, but it didn’t seem to help much.

Long Yan still couldn’t catch a glimpse of Huqiu’s figure, which flickered in and out of sight, unpredictable.

Wounds on Long Yan’s body began to ooze blood, dripping steadily onto the ground.

“Why do you still resist?”

Huqiu genuinely couldn’t figure out why Long Yan hadn’t surrendered yet.

What could be more important to him than his life?

Long Yan slowly closed his eyes; he remembered a battle technique he had seen once in the Seven-Star Hall, one of the odd techniques collected by Zhou Xuantong in one of his books.

It was a simple method that involved sealing a person’s five senses and then enhancing the sole remaining sense to increase perception of the enemy.

Long Yan was now planning to use this technique.

As for the remaining sense, Long Yan decided to entrust it all to his hearing.

The battlefield was completely surrounded by rubble, and as Huqiu moved, the sound of her feet on the gravel continuously made a rustling noise.

Handing over all perception to the ears is painful.

Long Yan now felt as if he was alone in the space surrounding him; every sound around him could not escape his ears, the fine noise of sand and stones falling, and Huqiu’s faint panting from the prolonged battle, a feeling that Long Yan had never experienced before.

“Clang.”

The Demon Spear in his hand blocked the dagger above with a crisp sound.

Long Yan managed to block Huqiu’s dagger just in time, and amidst her astonished gaze, his Demon Spear swept toward Huqiu with a sweeping motion.

“Hmm?”

Huqiu was somewhat surprised and quickly crouched down, but the Demon Spear, as if it had grown eyes, stabbed at Huqiu.

This attack forced Huqiu to dodge awkwardly, her body being stuck in a series of attacks, and now she could only continue to evade.

“What’s going on?”

Huqiu became somewhat frenzied.

What was happening with Long Yan?

Why were her Divine Abilities not working?

However, since Long Yan had sealed his five senses, he definitely could not hear Huqiu’s voice.

The Demon Spear in his hand wielded countless Spear Lights, almost piercing through the entire castle as crisp sounds echoed incessantly on the empty battlefield.

Huqiu was now in an extremely sorry state, no longer able to maintain her earlier composed demeanor, and even the Black Robe on her body had been slashed by Long Yan’s Spear Light, revealing the white skin underneath.

A trace of puzzlement flashed in her green pupils.

Huqiu couldn’t understand what Long Yan was relying on to neutralize her Divine Abilities.

Indeed, Huqiu’s Divine Abilities were different; they required a trigger condition.

Using the naturally green pupils of the Fox Clan as a catalyst, she led her opponent to believe they were in their environment.

But actually, the Fox Clan’s talents were somewhat similar to Long Yan’s Azure Dragon’s Mysteries, which slowed the opponent’s vision.

If the opponent’s eyes couldn’t keep up with one’s movements, then it evolved into the present Mystic that contracted space.

Of course, the weak spot of this Mystic was simple: don’t use eyes to observe.

Although it’s easily said, how many people in battle could choose to give up their eyesight?

The method Long Yan unwittingly employed found the weak spot in Huqiu’s Mystic.

After all, she wasn’t a real Divine Emperor Powerhouse like Elder Xuehe.

Although the Demon Race’s Life Profound Technique was formidable, there were ways to break it.

Huqiu could hardly believe it; Long Yan had just so easily shattered the defense of her divine abilities.

As she swung her long whip, creating trails of whip flowers that smashed down towards Long Yan, the sound of the whip tearing through the air had almost made Long Yan’s ears blister.

Long Yan thrust his spear forward, the shaft colliding with the whip, with such force that it caused Huqiu, who was holding the whip, to stagger.

“Why!”

Huqiu felt herself going mad, her most prized divine abilities had been so easily broken by Long Yan.

At the same time, a hint of regret rose in her heart.

If she hadn’t chosen to toy with Long Yan and had simply killed him with one strike, all these troubles could have been avoided.

Now, she found herself in a difficult situation from which she couldn’t easily extricate herself.

For a while, the thought of retreating surged in Huqiu’s mind, but how could Long Yan let her escape so easily?

With his hearing enhanced to the extreme, his ears trembled ever so slightly, and the Demon Spear in his hand flew towards Huqiu.

“Whoosh!”

The Demon Spear whizzed past Huqiu, cutting through her delicate skin.

Moments ago, she had nearly killed Long Yan, and now she was the one being chased everywhere by him—how the tables have turned.

Unable to run or fight back effectively, Huqiu was thoroughly frustrated.

In the midst of her contemplation, Long Yan, like a crimson flash of lightning, charged upwards.

Huqiu’s pupils contracted sharply as their bodies collided fiercely, a massive shockwave rippling outwards from the two of them.

A figure flew out from amidst the smoke, naturally, it was Huqiu.

She had mostly relied on her divine abilities, and even her physical strength couldn’t match Han Xing’s, whom Long Yan had slashed just moments before.

Soon, a crimson light tore through the smoke.

Long Yan couldn’t help feeling a bit anxious.

Blood had begun to seep out of his ears – this tactic meant blocking out his other senses to stimulate one particular sense, but if it continued for too long, it wouldn’t bode well for Long Yan.

Therefore, Long Yan needed to resolve the battle in the shortest time possible.

Huqiu struggled to her feet from the ground.

Indeed, the battlefield can change in the blink of an eye.

In just a moment, their positions had been reversed.

Huqiu felt the whole world spinning as a trail of fresh blood slid from the corner of her mouth.

Long Yan’s long spear had penetrated her chest, pinning her to the ground.

Her enticing body twitched continuously as life slowly seeped out of Huqiu.

As Long Yan released his other senses, he looked down at Huqiu.

The sudden relief from the oppressive pressure in his ears caused him some discomfort, but he still endured it and approached Huqiu.

“You can’t possibly win.”

Long Yan pulled the Demon Spear out from Huqiu’s body.

She half leaned on a stone, smiling faintly at Long Yan.

Despite her weakness, her tone was firm and sure.

“Who knows.”

Long Yan replied indifferently, causing Huqiu to frown slightly, but she didn’t take it seriously.

She had to admit that the man before her was indeed very strong, but he would not be a match for Long Jue and Qing Luo.

“I’ve already won three times.”

Although his words sounded boastful, Long Yan’s tone was utterly calm.

Unexpectedly, Huqiu just gave a bitter smile.

She had won against three people?

Long Yan still hadn’t realized how terrifying that man was.

If he ever came to know, she wondered if he would still make such arrogant statements.
