Chapter 2198 - 2198 2188 Star Sword

2198: Chapter 2188: Star Sword 2198: Chapter 2188: Star Sword Ice Girl looked at Long Yan with a pleading expression and said to him with some urgency.

“True God, if you must go to the First Layer, could you please help me find out the whereabouts of that unfaithful man?”

Clearly, Ice Girl still harbored some feelings about that human man, whose strength wasn’t as formidable as Long Yan’s, but she had revealed to the man a method that was certain to succeed.

It turned out that the reason the Blood Demon Emperor was so named was because it cultivated within this Blood River.

To enhance its strength, it would spend even more time in the Blood River every year than outside of it.

Hearing Ice Girl’s words, Long Yan also had a clear understanding.

Although he wasn’t afraid of battle, and was even keen to test the power of his Star Sword Technique, since there was a way to avoid fighting, Long Yan was quite happy about it.

“By the way, do you know what that fruit is?”

Long Yan suddenly remembered the beautiful fruit he had seen earlier and casually asked the four monsters around him.

But when he did, all four monsters looked at him with very strange gazes.

“What fruit?”

“We’ve been in this Demon Suppressing Tower for such a long time, let alone any fruit; we haven’t even seen a single cat.”

Hearing Single-Eye Umbrella’s words, the cat with a cane gave him a sideways glance.

Isn’t there a cat right in front of him?

Long Yan found it very strange; the fruit seemed to be flashy and eye-catching, so how could it be unseen?

Long Yan specially took the four monsters to have another look, and though the giant fruit was right in front of them, the four monsters still looked completely lost.

This odd scene made Long Yan somewhat relieved; thankfully, he had not eaten the fruit immediately, as it could have carried some danger.

It seemed there was something peculiar about this fruit.

Since it was invisible to them, Long Yan could only note this matter down for now and talk about it in the future, as the four monsters continued to escort him all the way to the next layer’s Teleportation Array.

The other three monsters were just too curious, having not seen humans for a long time, but Ice Girl’s gaze carried a hint of hope; perhaps there really might be news of the man from before.

Looking at the teleportation array emitting a sapphire blue glow before him, Long Yan hesitated not for a moment.

It seemed that there were indeed small worlds within the Demon Suppressing Tower, but they were the worlds of these monsters.

The scenery on the next layer was not much different from the previous one, except that these monsters kept their distance from Long Yan, as if avoiding some Plague God.

This scene made Long Yan involuntarily check his own body to see if there was something strange about him, but of course, everything was normal; there was nothing out of the ordinary.

It seemed that the creatures of this layer had also not seen humans for a long time, and Long Yan, not wanting to entangle with those creatures, continued to search for a way to the next layer until he finally found a road leading downward.

But the scene before him was somewhat unexpected to Long Yan, not because of anything else, but a giant earthy yellow monster was blocking his path.

This monster looked somewhat human, but on its huge head, it had two pointed horns.

“This…”

Long Yan looked at the monster before him, still snoring loudly, unsure of what to say.

Out of helplessness, Long Yan had no choice but to use all his strength to wake up the monster.

“Who?

Who dares disturb Grandpa’s sleep?”

The earthy yellow creature began cursing loudly the moment it woke up, displaying a significant temper.

Finally, while on the ground, it caught sight of Long Yan’s figure.

“Is it you, the bean sprout, who woke me up?”

The monster exhaled white breaths angrily and scornfully eyed Long Yan before it.

Long Yan remained unconcerned by the monster’s mockery, merely assessing the creature with a calm gaze.

“I wish to pass; can you get up and let me through?”

It seemed Long Yan’s indifference only made the monster more arrogant, saliva dripping from the corner of its mouth.

The disgusting sight made Long Yan frown.

“You expect me to just step aside?

That would be quite a loss of face for me.”

A giant shadow enveloped Long Yan as the monster’s colossal palm struck down towards him.

The monster didn’t take Long Yan seriously at all and simply wanted to crush him to death with a slap then continue sleeping.

However, things didn’t go as the earthy yellow monster had anticipated.

It imagined that Long Yan’s frail body would undoubtedly shatter to pieces under its palm, but to its surprise, the palm couldn’t proceed when it was hovering above Long Yan’s head.

Long Yan was merely propping up the monster’s bulk with his palm, the vast hand halted by Long Yan’s power without advancing an inch further.

“How can this be?”

The monster wore a look of astonishment.

Long Yan appeared so weak; how could he possibly stop its palm?

Meanwhile, a cold glint also crossed Long Yan’s eyes.

The earthy yellow monster had attacked without a word, angering Long Yan somewhat.

“The Lu Xian Sword.”

The Lu Xian Sword at Long Yan’s waist lengthened upon catching the wind.

The small half-palm-sized blade returned to its original form under Long Yan’s control and landed in his hand, and he vanished from the spot instantly.

The massive palm smashed onto the ground, kicking up dust.

Long Yan’s figure had already appeared mid-Air, a pinpoint of cold light in the Space growing larger and larger, and a sword of blood suddenly spewed out from the body of the earthy yellow monster.

“Woo Ao!”

Long Yan’s strike caused the monster to howl in pain, but all this occurred in the blink of an eye.

Stars filled the battlefield, reigning down from afar and transforming into streaks of cold light, showering down on the monster’s body like raindrops.

“Star Sword Art, able to pluck the stars with your hand.”

Layers of starlight coated the blade of the Lu Xian Sword, differing from Chen Chen’s use, where the sword incurred no damage.

Each thrust was as swift as a shooting star, and the surrounding scene turned pitch black, instilling fear in the monster.

Giant waves of Star Light Harness shattered the monster’s True Qi condensed armor effortlessly, causing the monster to feel pain as if its scalp was prickling.

“Spare under the sword, no, spare the Demon.”

A thunderous voice echoed across the battlefield, but Long Yan paid it no heed.

When the sword leaves its scabbard, how could it return without drawing blood?

The starlight continued to condense, forming a vast Star Sword.

The Star Sword viciously slashed down towards the earthy yellow monster’s enormous body and, for a moment, the creature was utterly defenseless, frozen in place out of sheer terror from Long Yan’s assault.

Waves of disturbance flickered in the Space as a white-haired man emerged from within, instantly conjuring a huge shadow behind him that resembled a fish yet also a whale, opening a massive mouth as if to bite through Long Yan’s Star Sword in one fell swoop.

But the Star Sword Technique was not so easily broken.

Within an instant, the shadow was torn into countless fragments by the Star Sword.
