Chapter 2146 - 2146 2136 Spider's Lair

2146: Chapter 2136: Spider’s Lair 2146: Chapter 2136: Spider’s Lair Long Cai’er was incredibly bored at the village entrance, but since Long Yan told her to wait for him there, she complied.

The spiders around her, fearing the terrifying aura she emanated, all chose to steer clear of her.

Suddenly, at the village entrance, Long Cai’er saw a figure covered in green slime, a figure all too familiar to her.

Leaving behind the little stone she was kicking about, she ran towards Long Yan.

Behind her, a giant spider on the rooftop was gathering its power, preparing to pounce on Long Yan.

Long Cai’er was just about to shout a warning when a white light flashed by, and the spider lunging at Long Yan was cleaved in two.

Long Cai’er noticed that Long Yan still carried a little boy in his left arm, and she hurried to the front, only to find that Long Yan merely glanced at her before continuing on his way.

She could feel the presence of other emotions beside Long Yan, emotions that made Long Cai’er extremely uneasy, so she didn’t speak but instead followed closely behind him.

Long Yan found a large stone and gently laid Miao Nan upon it.

Miao Nan’s breathing had already stopped; he was dead by the time Long Yan found him.

Now, a complex mix of emotions welled up inside him: a fury that he couldn’t vent, coupled with a desolate sadness.

Long Yan hung his head low, keenly aware that the person who had been alive and well before, the person from Miao Gu who had asked him to return early and avoid danger, was now dead before his eyes.

“Ah!!”

A surge of True Qi blew away everything around, and Long Cai’er, standing behind Long Yan, hadn’t expected him to possess such power.

She shielded her pretty little face with her hands, nearly getting blown away by the force that hit like a gust of wind.

“Cai’er!”

Long Yan’s voice was somewhat hoarse and deep, his anger having reached a certain level.

“Where is the spiders’ lair?”

Long Cai’er shivered.

Seeing Long Yan as he was now, she really hesitated to tell him that the spiders he’d just killed were merely a squad sent out from the spider tribe to forage for food, definitely not the mightiest among them.

“You know, don’t you?”

Long Yan’s voice put Long Cai’er in a difficult position, her heart not wanting Long Yan to go, yet as if possessed by spirits, she found herself revealing the information.

“It’s not far from the woods where I was, but they’re very powerful.”

After hearing Long Cai’er’s words, Long Yan, without looking back, charged straight towards the direction from whence he came.

Long Cai’er hurriedly followed; she might not know much else, but she did know about that group of spiders.

They were like a tribe, always existing within a stretch of woodland, usually keeping to themselves as far as Long Cai’er was concerned.

Yet, for the spider tribe to venture so far out to hunt was unprecedented.

The two of them quickly arrived at the woods where Long Cai’er had been before.

Everything around was eerily silent; Long Yan had already slaughtered all the spiders in the village.

The last one that attacked him was the final member of that spider squadron.

“Squeak, squeak.”

On a massive spider web, several giant spiders crawled incessantly, their sensitivity to movement unmatched.

The rustling of clothes against leaves—such sounds were crystal clear to them, revealing the presence of an intruder.

As the shrubs were gently parted, a white rabbit burst out from within.

The spiders, previously tensed and ready to pounce, now relaxed their bodies.

One of them spat out a strand of spider silk, which in a flash pinned the trembling rabbit to the ground.

Just as three spiders descended from the web to indulge in their freshly caught prey, a shadow plummeted from the sky and pierced one of their bodies.

In an instant, it claimed their life.

The other two spiders, baffled, watched as something penetrated their companion’s body.

They could certainly see it with their dynamic vision, but remained puzzled as to why their companion lay motionless.

Driven by curiosity, one gently prodded its companion, only for the other spider’s massive frame to suddenly topple over, kicking up a cloud of dust.

Wedged between the body and the silk gland was a Long Spear radiating red light.

During their confusion, a white figure accompanied by a fierce flash of blade light descended upon them.

Vivid green blood spurted out.

With their limited intelligence, they couldn’t comprehend what had happened, yet the pain compelled them to emit pained squeaks.

Long Yan sheathed his Dragon Tooth and grabbed the demon spear embedded nearby.

The white figure from before was his doing.

The last spider, seeing a delicious meal turn to one dead and one wounded, charged towards Long Yan, its powerful forelimbs slashing like knives.

Without paying it any heed, a black flame flickered in Long Yan’s hand, the dancing fire emitting an ominous aura of death.

The flame spread along Long Yan’s hand onto the spider, instantly turning into towering flames that engulfed the black arachnid.

Long Yan, holding the Magic Gun in reverse, unleashed a punch.

The two Trees connected by the spider web shattered under the force, and the sound of falling trees stirred countless green eyes within the shrubbery.

The dense sea of green eyes made Long Cai’er’s scalp tingle.

She stole a glance at Long Yan’s expression, only to find his face unfazed.

Long Yan had long been prepared; since he had made his decision, it was time to cause a commotion.

This area, home to the giant spiders, was a vast Death Domain, and he was not afraid to make noise.

The green eyes in the shrubbery had become impatient, with some spiders even attempting to circle behind Long Yan for a surprise attack.

The demon spear in his hand, like a crimson dragon, pierced the body of a spider before him.

The impaled spider writhed in agony but was tossed aside by Long Yan, who continued to wield the spear mercilessly, harvesting the lives of the surrounding spiders.

Numerous spiders lay dead at Long Yan’s feet, and yet more surged forward as replacements.

The gods only knew how many spiders existed within this vast forest.

As time slowly passed, a mountain of spider corpses piled up at Long Yan’s feet.

While evading diving spiders, Long Yan nearly ran out of space to stand.

The Magic Gun stabbed into the body of the spider before him, and with the force, Long Yan nailed the creature against a tree.

The spear passed through and even punched a large hole in the tree behind it.

The Big Tree swayed, dislodging two more spiders that Long Yan kicked aside with his feet.

The fallen tree crushed two more spiders beneath it.

Ignoring the still-struggling spiders, Long Yan headed straight toward the Depths of the woodland.
