Chapter 1819 - 1819 1809 Entering the Top Nine

1819: Chapter 1809: Entering the Top Nine 1819: Chapter 1809: Entering the Top Nine Time passed slowly, and roughly half a day had passed; all the battles had come to an end, with thirty-six out of seventy-two participants remaining on the battle platforms.

With the end of the battles, those who were severely injured were wrapped in an energy cocoon.

In less than ten breaths’ time, they had fully recovered.

Immediately after, the thirty-six battle platforms began to move again, forming eighteen circular stages for the warriors to pair up once more.

“Dragon-Tiger Supreme!”

Long Yan faced the opponent standing across from him with a solemn expression.

It was none other than the Dragon-Tiger Supreme himself.

Having witnessed the Dragon-Tiger Supreme’s strength, who had slain the Ancient Golden Demon Dragon with a single move, Long Yan knew his strength was certainly no less than that of The Tenth Demon General, maybe even stronger.

Defeating the Dragon-Tiger Supreme was practically impossible for him.

“Long Yan, will you surrender yourself, or shall we let the battle decide?”

The Dragon-Tiger Supreme looked at Long Yan and spoke indifferently.

“There’s hardly any hope that I could defeat you, but I, Long Yan, am not one to surrender voluntarily.

Let’s have a fight; if I’m to be defeated, I want to be satisfied in my defeat.”

Long Yan said.

Even though he couldn’t defeat the Dragon-Tiger Supreme, Long Yan still wanted to see just how strong the Dragon-Tiger Supreme really was.

“Long Yan, you are not my match.

Better for you to surrender.”

The Dragon-Tiger Supreme said.

“As long as I have the strength to fight, I will not surrender.”

Long Yan said with firm conviction.

For him to surrender was out of the question.

Hearing this, a smile crept onto the Dragon-Tiger Supreme’s face.

“Since you won’t surrender, then I’ll surrender,” he said.

The Dragon-Tiger Supreme chose to surrender voluntarily.

“Why?”

Long Yan was taken aback.

Why would the Dragon-Tiger Supreme surrender, was he not keen on the so-called opportunity?

“You are too weak, not my opponent at all.

Fight me when your strength is sufficient.”

After leaving those words, the Dragon-Tiger Supreme departed from the battle platform, which then began to crumble beneath his feet.

“What is the real reason?”

Long Yan’s brows furrowed, certain there was another reason behind the Dragon-Tiger Supreme’s voluntary surrender.

Then, Long Yan’s gaze shifted toward another battle platform where Di Shitian and Black Dragon were standing.

“Black Dragon is likely in trouble,” Long Yan thought to himself.

Black Dragon’s strength and tactics were formidable; not even Long Yan was sure he could defeat Black Dragon.

But against Di Shitian, the outcome was unpredictable.

“Aren’t you going to make a move?”

Di Shitian looked at Black Dragon and asked softly.

“I know your origins, and you should have guessed mine as well.

You can’t defeat me.”

Black Dragon stared at Di Shitian with a serious expression.

“Although I can’t defeat you, you likewise can’t defeat me, and you are well aware of the purpose of my being here.”

Di Shitian said.

“Since this battle is meaningless, I shall surrender.”

After leaving those words behind, Black Dragon left the battle platform, choosing to surrender voluntarily.

For him, this battle held no significance.

“This guy really knows when to hold ’em and when to fold ’em.”

Long Yan wasn’t too surprised to see Black Dragon voluntarily admit defeat; Black Dragon had always operated on the principle of fighting when he could win and fleeing when he couldn’t.

On the other battle platforms, there were those who admitted defeat, but more chose to fight.

Long Chen, Zhan Wushuang, Long Chengtian, and Beast Emperor all faced formidable opponents—each a Demigod.

Zhan Wushuang and Beast Emperor were better off, with only ordinary Demigods as opponents.

Long Chen’s adversary was Moon God, and Long Chengtian’s was Three Thousand Emperor Lord.

Long Yan’s gaze settled on Burial Heaven Sect Master, enigmatic as ever.

Up until now, Long Yan had not seen him strike a blow, hence was completely unaware of his capabilities.

Then, Long Yan turned his attention to the battle platform where Dragon Emperor Cangqiong stood.

His opponent was Wu Dao, and the two were engaged in a fierce battle.

It was clear that Dragon Emperor Cangqiong was no match for Wu Dao.

Time passed slowly, and about half a day had elapsed.

The battles finally ended, leaving eighteen people standing on the platforms.

Long Chen, Long Chengtian, Dragon Emperor Cangqiong, and Red Lotus Saint were defeated.

Black Dragon had voluntarily admitted defeat.

After a deadly struggle, Zhan Wushuang and Beast Emperor managed to narrowly defeat their opponents.

At this moment, the eighteen who remained standing on the battle platforms were Long Yan, Zhan Wushuang, Beast Emperor, Burial Blood Dragon Emperor, Purple Cloud Dragon Emperor, Long Family’s Ancestor, Huangfu Yingying, Di Shitian, Moon God, Star God, Three Thousand Emperor Lord, Leng Youlan, Burial Heaven Sect Master, Wu Dao, Phoenix Dance, Blood Spirit Leader, Granny Li Hua, and Qingtian Demon Master.

Having fought to this point, these eighteen individuals combined luck with tremendous strength.

Undoubtedly, they were at the pinnacle of power within the Emperor Domain.

“Who will be the nine to be eliminated next, I wonder?

Which nine will make it into the top nine?”

All eyes were on Long Yan and the other seventeen, as speculations were made on who would have the chance to be among the top nine.

Very quickly, the battle platforms shifted again, initiating the fight for the top nine.

“My luck, it’s really…”

Long Yan couldn’t help but feel a mixture of amusement and frustration as he looked across the battle platform at his opponent, who happened to be Di Shitian.

Before, the Dragon-Tiger Supreme had voluntarily admitted defeat, which allowed him to remain here.

Now he was facing Di Shitian…

“Am I really expected to surrender?”

Long Yan pondered, certain he stood no chance against Di Shitian, doubtful he could even withstand a single strike.

“Long Yan, I have helped you as much as I can.

From now on, it’s up to you,” Di Shitian said to Long Yan.

“Do you mean to surrender too?”

Long Yan asked.

He didn’t understand why Di Shitian would admit defeat; he desired the opportunity ahead, but wanted to fight for it with his own strength, not to rely on the charity of others.

“I promised to help you, and this is as far as I can go.

My very presence here is already unfair,” Di Shitian replied.

If not for encountering Long Yan, he could have cleared some of Long Yan’s adversaries, but facing Long Yan obliged him to concede.

“Why would you do this?”

Long Yan asked.

He didn’t believe that a few drops of Life Essence Liquid were enough for Di Shitian to aid him to this extent; surely, there must be another reason.

“We are friends, and that should be reason enough,” Di Shitian stated, then added, “When you reach a certain height, you might understand.”

His assistance to Long Yan indeed had a motive, but now, Long Yan didn’t need to know why.

“Regardless, I thank you,”

Long Yan said sincerely, bowing with a clenched fist.

“Your luck has almost run out by now.

From here on, you’ll have to rely on yourself.”

After leaving those words behind, Di Shitian departed from the battle platform.

“Di Shitian has admitted defeat too, what’s going on here?”

The spectators, witnessing Di Shitian’s concession, were taken aback.

Earlier, Dragon-Tiger Supreme had given up, and now Di Shitian also chose to do so.

It was clear they were aiding Long Yan.
