Chapter 306: Spitz’s Conditions
Chapter 306: Chapter 306: Spitz’s Conditions
In the center of the clearing, atop the massive stone platform, the mysterious rune array seemed to sense Spitz’s struggle and instantly lit up with an emerald green glow.
The powerful will emanating from Spitz was immediately absorbed into this emerald glow, transforming into visible energy ripples that transmitted into various channels.
As these energy ripples reverberated, Spitz seemed like a restless prisoner who had been subdued, letting out a low growl.
The turbulent will gradually subsided.
Kurtaz, who had the lowest cultivation among the group, was immediately covered in goosebumps under the oppressive evil aura from earlier.
He exclaimed in shock, "It—it spoke!"
Li Haotian’s expression was serious as he gently shook his head, "Its entire head is tightly bound by chains, it can’t speak. It’s the voice transmitted directly into our minds through spiritual power."
Saying this, Li Haotian stepped toward the central passage.
"Let’s go, everyone, and see this Dragon Warrior who has lived since the Ancient Times until now!"
Seeing Li Haotian stride boldly in that direction, Varian expressed some concern, "Lord Haotian, judging by the aura it emitted just now, this giant dragon’s strength is extremely terrifying."
"Wouldn’t it be problematic if we just approach it like this?"
Li Haotian chuckled lightly, "Don’t worry, the seal placed by the Ancient Elves is still intact."
"Right now, it’s just a tied up mad dog, looking fierce, but in reality, it’s nothing more than impotent rage."
Despite Li Haotian’s own cultivation level not being high, he had faced the Eighth Apostle Rotes alone.
The Eighth Apostle Rotes was at least equivalent to a level 110 super monster; in terms of aura and ferocity, this Evil Dragon Spitz was lacking by quite a margin.
Seeing Li Haotian so composed, Varian couldn’t help but blush and felt immense admiration.
Lord Haotian truly is extraordinary!
Though young, he remains calm in the face of crisis.
Putting aside power, even his mindset is far superior to the rest of us!
Orelia and the others exchanged a glance, took a deep breath, and carefully followed behind Li Haotian.
At the same time, their eyes were filled with intense curiosity and excitement.
After all, that’s the Evil Dragon Spitz, a super powerhouse that has lived since the Ancient Times!
A real living fossil!
For them, seeing such a being in person was something they never dared to imagine!
Li Haotian’s eyes were gleaming, equally excited.
As he walked, he discreetly placed several Gloot Pistols as safety teleportation points.
Though he was reassuring Varian verbally, he didn’t skip on necessary precautionary measures.
He had determined from the earlier movements of the Sealing Array that this Evil Dragon was still tightly suppressed.
However, Spitz was still a formidable figure from the Ancient Times, and while underestimating the enemy on a strategic level, tactically, the necessary attention had to be paid.
Moments later, under Li Haotian’s guidance, the group reached the deepest part of the passage.
When they gazed upon the ferocious and enormous dragon head, they were struck speechless by shock.
Spitz’s ghostly green vertical pupils slightly shifted, looking at the small ants below, a hint of puzzlement in its eye.
It looked at Orelia, and an evil-sounding laugh echoed, "Such weak elves, daring to intrude into the Sealed Land on their own?"
Suddenly, Spitz’s voice paused.
It glanced over Li Haotian, Kudran, Grom, and others, a glint of savagery flashing in its eyes, then it fixed its gaze on Orelia, "To bring outsiders into the Sealed Forbidden Land, young girl, you must be a provisional High Priest from your clan?"
"Huh? No, you’re not a Dark Elf! Have the Forest Elves allied with the Dark Elves?"
Under Spitz’s gaze, Orelia’s eyes trembled slightly under its intimidating aura.
But as the current leader of the Forest Elf Clan, Orelia wouldn’t allow herself to be suppressed by the aura of a mere prisoner.
Her eyes narrowed, meeting Spitz’s gaze she responded sternly, "Our matters are none of your concern."
As she spoke, Orelia subconsciously glanced at Li Haotian.
Not only her, but the others’ eyes also landed on Li Haotian, uncertain of what to do next.
"Hm?" Evil Dragon Spitz questioned slightly, refocusing its gaze on Li Haotian.
Though its power was suppressed by the Elves’ Sealing Array, Spitz’s strong and keen perception remained intact.
When Li Haotian and the others appeared, it had already scanned their cultivation levels.
The young human before it had, among them, the second lowest cultivation level, just above the scruffy-bearded dwarf.
But judging from the reactions of that elf and the others, this group seemed to be led by this young man. What was going on?
Could it be that this young man had an unusual identity?
With these thoughts flashing in its mind, Spitz stared at Li Haotian and asked, "Human, who are you?"
Li Haotian smiled slightly, without answering Spitz’s question, he confirmed, "You are the Evil Dragon Spitz?"
Spitz’s huge vertical pupil slightly narrowed, as its fierce aura once again started to slowly gather.
"Just a mere ant, yet daring to speak to me like this?"
Seeing Spitz didn’t refute, Li Haotian nodded gently, "Seems like it’s true."
Confirming the other’s identity, Li Haotian’s eyes focused, going straight to the point, "Spitz, do you know the way back to the Arad Continent?"
Upon hearing Li Haotian’s question, the malice in Spitz’s eyes remained, mocking, "So, after being quiet for so long, you still haven’t given up?"
Its eyes slightly narrowed as it glanced at Orelia, "Although I don’t know how you bypassed the Dark Elves to get here, since you know this matter, you must have gotten the information from them."
Spitz paused slightly, temptingly offering, "My condition remains unchanged. As long as you undo my seal, I will take you back to the Arad Continent!"
Upon hearing this, Orelia and the others’ bodies shook, exchanging a glance subconsciously.
Is this the method the Dark Elves found back then?
The Evil Dragon Spitz can return to the Arad Continent?
Hiss—so that’s how it is!
The clue the Dark Elves found back then about returning to the Arad Continent was, in fact, the Evil Dragon Spitz!
Alongside their shock, cold sweat broke out on Varian and the others’ backs.
Thankfully, the Dark Elves back then weren’t completely blinded by hatred to release the seal on the Evil Dragon Spitz.
Otherwise, the current Azeroth Continent would have suffered unimaginable devastation under Spitz’s wrath.
This creature is called the Evil Dragon for good reason!
How credible are its words?
