Chapter 405: April 6th fearful

Bai Xiong urged the power in his palms, the surging strength of the beast rolled like a torrent, as if overflowing a riverbank, transforming into a dragon with wide-open fangs, determined to devour everything.

As one of the first to reach SSS level among the beast-people, Bai Xiong had never suffered such an insult, he unleashed all his rage through his attacks, using both full strength and momentum.

He did not hold back; his attack was a barrage of thunderous blows.

The mysterious malign figure squinted, gauging Bai Xiong’s movements, even as Bai Xiong’s strength became gruesome, it still couldn’t stir much of a ripple in the eyes of the mysterious malign.

The look in his eyes never changed from start to finish, as if there was nothing that could make him show fear.

Seeing the attitude of the mysterious malign, Bai Xiong’s anger intensified; he took it as a complete disregard for him.

A roar erupted from Bai Xiong’s throat; his attacks with both hands were simple, direct, aiming for the chest and face of the mysterious malign, the strong winds making the grass sway, especially the small blades, which lay flat against the ground.

"You have some strength indeed..." Bai Xiong heard the faint mockery in the words of the mysterious malign by his ear, with derision the truth and praise utterly feigned, clearly mocking, scornful, and disdainful of Bai Xiong’s attack.

"You’re asking for death!" Bai Xiong bellowed.

His fists instantly struck the body of the mysterious malign, thump... Ye Qiu felt a pain in his ears. Within the less than five-meter radius of the battlefield, such a sound still made him cover his ears.

"Such terrifying power." Ye Qiu was amazed, as one punch, not to mention breaking through a wall, could probably easily penetrate even a layer of steel.

Who knows how the mysterious malign fared?

Ye Qiu kept an eye on the battlefield, and when Bai Xiong’s assaults hit the mysterious malign, he saw it clearly; the malign did not even attempt to dodge.

Thus it seemed, the mysterious malign had withstood the strike head-on.

"I used ten levels of power in that punch, I don’t believe I can’t severely injure you!" Having succeeded with his strike, Bai Xiong looked smug; he could feel his fist hitting hard on the opponent’s chest. The force was so great that his fist sunk into the chest. By now, he probably had shattered the guy’s intestines.

Bai Xiong was very confident in his skills; during past missions, there were few opponents who could make him use ten levels of his power. And even if there were, they ultimately died by his hand. Today, the appearance of the mysterious malign indeed shook him, having silently stopped his assassination attempt on Ye Qiu, he had to take it seriously.

But judging from his successful strike, he seemed to have overestimated the opponent, Bai Xiong laughed proudly, "So this is all you’ve got..."

As Bai Xiong laughed and was about to retract his fist, his arm suddenly couldn’t move, as if the body of the opponent was a huge suction cup, gripping his arm tightly.

"What’s going on?" Bai Xiong was abruptly startled, and at that moment, he saw a smile in the eyes of the mysterious malign looking at him.

This smile did not endear Bai Xiong at all; instead, he found it eerie, imagine someone you believed you had seriously injured suddenly telling you they were unharmed; that was the feeling.

Bai Xiong felt like a mute who had eaten coptis, bitterness he couldn’t express; he had clearly inflicted a serious injury, so why would the opponent still have that look in their eyes?

Was it all just a feint by the opponent?

Bai Xiong’s mind raced to that possibility, but this thought lasted no more than three seconds. The sensation coming from his arm informed him that he had made a huge mistake.

If one were to watch the point of collision between Bai Xiong’s fist and the chest of the mysterious malign at that moment, they would observe a major change. The indented chest swelled up in an instant, and at the same time, a force was exerted, numbing Bai Xiong’s arm with shock, but when he tried to withdraw, he found his arm had lost feeling, and his fist was instead stuck, sucked by the opponent’s chest, unable to break free.

The attack failed, and he was instead restrained!

Bai Xiong felt even worse than if he had eaten rat droppings, and the malign shifted his gaze, his hand reaching out directly towards Bai Xiong’s arm.

Whoosh!

A streak of white light flashed.

Immediately followed by a thunderous roar of pain erupting from Bai Xiong’s mouth, deafening to the ear.

Crack!

Bai Xiong felt his heart bleeding, just in the blink of an eye, his arm had been severed by the malevolent stranger.

"A bear’s paw, a fine tonic indeed," the malevolent stranger commented unabashedly, showing no concern for the infuriated Bai Xiong.

Upon hearing this, Bai Xiong became incensed, grinding his teeth so hard that it seemed he was on the verge of munching down on the malevolent stranger’s flesh and bone with equal ferocity.

As the wound continued to bleed, Bai Xiong pressed against the wound and picked up his arm from the ground; it was a part of his body, and as long as it was done in time, the current technology might allow him to reattach it, so he wouldn’t end up a one-armed warrior.

Seeing Bai Xiong cradling his arm in his chest, the once-mighty sss-class beastman warrior of the Kondjil family succumbed to this miserable state, Ju Lu retracted his gaze swiftly, not daring to look directly at the malevolent stranger.

Bai Xiong clenched his teeth, realizing that no matter how angry he became, he could no longer do anything to the malevolent stranger, so he changed his mind.

"Ju Lu, help me," Bai Xiong begged Ju Lu for assistance, hoping he would join in to eliminate the threat.

However, upon hearing this, Ju Lu did not move rashly, hinting at a retreat.

Bai Xiong was fuming madly, Ju Lu was his brother, yet at a life-or-death moment, he thought of escaping himself, even contemplating leaving him behind; Bai Xiong’s heart sank to rock bottom.

"Go!" Bai Xiong took a step back, not wishing to engage with the malevolent stranger anymore, whose combat skills were extremely formidable. Continuing the fight would likely cost him his other arm.

"Think you can leave just like that? Not so easy," the malevolent stranger said, striking at the fleeing Bai Xiong, who turned into a wisp of smoke trying to vanish. Despite the short distance that had grown between them, a master like the malevolent stranger could easily intercept him.

As the malevolent stranger flicked his finger, akin to some "Divine Skills," within the blink of an eye, Bai Xiong cried out and couldn’t escape.

Meanwhile, Ju Lu had already vanished into the woods, his mind flashing back to the scene of the malevolent stranger effortlessly severing Bai Xiong’s arm with a flick, a display of power Ju Lu had never seen before.

"Too strong, how could there be such a terrifying person in the world?" Ju Lu ran wildly, still in disbelief.

"I must get out of here, or I won’t even have a chance to avenge Bai Xiong. It’s all Ye Qiu’s fault, for provoking such a formidable opponent." Ju Lu loathed Ye Qiu, regretting not having intervened right when they encountered Ye Qiu, joining forces with Bai Xiong to kill him, which would have prevented their run-in with the malevolent stranger.

"Soon, the helicopter is just twenty meters away," Ju Lu glanced back, failing to spot the malevolent stranger, and his heart eased slightly.

Only ten meters away from the helicopter.

Five meters.

With a leap, Ju Lu called to the pilot, "Get out of here fast." His expression was wary, dreading that the malevolent stranger might appear in pursuit.

But now that he had boarded the helicopter, he could finally let go of his worries.

The helicopter’s rotors spun rapidly, and within a minute, it began to ascend, one meter, two meters, three meters...

As the helicopter hovered twenty meters above the ground, Ju Lu muttered, "Bai Xiong, I will avenge you. One day, I will definitely kill him."

"No need to wait for another day, I’ve come to kill you," suddenly, a voice reached Ju Lu’s ears, startling him so much his hair stood on end.
