Superhumans of the Dome City
Chapter 195 - 195 5 24 Hours Part 3

195: Chapter 5: 24 Hours Part 3 195: Chapter 5: 24 Hours Part 3 Qin Qianbai stared into his eyes, “You’re thinking about how to get out of the orders, aren’t you?”

“I sometimes really doubt that you have awakened the Mind Reading Technique; can you see through my lies that easily?”

The young lady gestured with her hands.

“It’s just slightly more difficult than eating a French fry.”

“How incompetent do you think I am in your eyes?”

After breakfast, Gongsun Ce anxiously waited for about five minutes before he received new orders.

“Look at that, the expression of great mercy.

Truth or truth, or watching animations together, which command do you want?”

“For starters, let’s eliminate the game that wasn’t a choice.”

Qin Qianbai sat on the couch and gave herself a thumbs up in her mind.

So far, the plan had been developing very smoothly.

Following Kardesia’s suggestion, they started with a shocking entry into the bedroom, followed by breakfast and casual conversation to ease the atmosphere, then they used animations as an opportunity to close the distance with Ah Ce.

When they realized, they were already leaning together on the couch…

Then they would choose the next step based on Ah Ce’s reaction.

Absolutely perfect, following this plan would certainly lead to success.

“Young lady, what do you want to watch today?”

“Let Ah Ce decide.”

Qin Qianbai occupied the advantageous terrain on the couch, brimming with confidence.

The battle of audiences starts now!

Then, 3 short hours later.

Gongsun Ce stood in the middle of the living room, shocked, “What’s going on, is there a new weapon hidden that I don’t know about?”

“The you who treats war as a means, you wouldn’t understand…”

Cling!

Clang!

The two, wielding lightsaber toys, fought for two rounds, neither winning nor losing.

Qin Qianbai took a step back to increase the distance; Gongsun Ce was about to pursue, but his movement suddenly halted.

“Move, the-o!” he said with cold sweat, “Why isn’t it moving!”

Qin Qianbai clasped her hands together and thrust towards the young man’s abdomen.

“Aaaaahhh—!”

The animation playing on the TV just happened to reach the same iconic scene, the exaggerated scream of the grey-haired youth synchronized with the punished villain in the animation.

The young lady withdrew her hand, turning around, “Return to the side of the woman.”

“Woman…?”

What was currently happening was an activity known as “iconic scene reproduction.” Simply put, this was when animation enthusiasts imitate the character’s lines to recreate scenes from the drama.

(The grey-haired youth, playing the role of the villain,) thudded to the ground, (the young lady, playing the protagonist,) delivered a conclusive statement.

“Ah, a big star is twinkling…”

“You got it wrong; that line is from the TV version!” Gongsun Ce groaned from the ground, “The movie version had a happy ending!”

Qin Qianbai helped her neighbor up, expressionlessly saying, “I prefer the original TV version.

The movie version with its happy ending, after watching, feels somewhat unreal.”

Happy individual stories against a grim background always seemed a bit discordant.

Some people might feel “a sad development emphasizes the depth of the work,” while others might think “even if it’s unreasonable, they desire to see a positive outcome.” This difference in views leads to discussions, which is one of the fun aspects of appreciating works.

Gongsun Ce chuckled inwardly twice and went with the flow, “ZZ is too long; shall we order some takeout and watch CCA next?”

“Okay…ah.”

The young lady, immersed in the animation, only then remembered to check the time.

It was already nearly twelve o’clock.

Immediately, Miss Qin’s aura became like a character in a black and white sketch.

Without further explanation, she pressed the grey-haired youth down on the couch, “I’m going out to make a call; Ah Ce, don’t move.”

“Help yourself~”

Gongsun Ce watched the girl walk out of the room and snickered to himself.

He hadn’t expected to achieve his goal so easily!

Getting caught up in the cartoons and forgetting about the real agenda was a common experience for many people, and that was exactly the core of this reverse-command strategy…

You must have had some plan, Miss, but still, Mr.

Gongsun outdid you!

This was the trap I prepared just for you!

“Little Qian, do you mean you got so engrossed in the cartoon that you forgot all about your strategy to get closer?”

“…Yes.”

The voice on the other end of the phone, a woman wearing a top hat, strained as she said, “Are you a grade-schooler?!

Gongsun Ce, who sets up such traps, is a weirdo, and you stepping right into it makes you just as odd!!!”

“What should I do, Kardesia?”

“Drop it, right now, immediately stop your maneuvers at Gongsun Ce’s house.

Change the venue, drag that homebody out!”

Once more, the Miss got ready to head out, donning a small backpack and a sun hat.

She said sternly, “Ah Ce, no more cartoons, come out with me to shop for clothes.”

The TV was playing the opening scene of an old animated movie, a white robot just starting to reveal a monitor from underneath some cloth.

Amidst the gradually intensifying main theme of the movie, Gongsun Ce asked, “Really?

I had just started it, and it’s such a classic film, are you sure you don’t want to finish watching it before we head out?”

Miss Qin wrestled with her desires for half a second and decisively said, “Next time.”

The young man with gray hair exaggeratedly sighed and slowly got up, “Alright, alright…

where are we going?”

Ten minutes later, the two stood at the entrance of a family restaurant.

The eatery, located near their apartment building, was well-known for its generous portions and affordable prices.

Most of the food here tasted great, but to catch the eyes of patrons, they also introduced quirky new items every quarter.

This season’s “Limited Time” menu featured asparagus durian pie, Biochemical Kangaroo soup, cherry blossom-flavored squid pie, and 100% pure mud cake.

Gongsun Ce’s eyes swept over these dangerously looking new dishes, and he shuddered slightly.

“Miss, at least don’t make me eat these,” he pleaded pathetically.

“You wouldn’t want to see me hugging the toilet and throwing up, would you?”

Qin Qianbai clenched her fist and smacked her palm.

“Impressive, Ah Ce.

You’ve just presented an idea to torture yourself.”

“Did you not think of that?!

Then why choose this place?”

“I wanted to eat the things I missed out on yesterday.” Her gaze turned somewhat gloomy.

“Yesterday, to show sincerity, I treated Kardesia to lots of desserts but forgot to order for myself…”

How extreme is your interest in tormenting me that you brought that torturer to plan out strategies?!

The word ‘plotting’ sounded to him like two evil women contemplating how to dismember him, Gongsun Ce, and that idea made his whole being uneasy.

Could it be that this afternoon meant facing a meticulously planned prank by Kardesia?!

“Miss, don’t do this, Miss.” Gongsun Ce said with a worried look, “I’ll have nightmares if you turn into someone like Kardesia.”

He walked into the restaurant with sorrow, where the waiter at the door said in an unenthusiastic, stern tone, “Welcome to…quack!”

Either he had misheard, or they had employed a Biochemical Duck as the waiter.

“Is this some new trendy catchphrase?”

His eyes reconnoitered the weird-sounding waiter.

The first things he saw were the oversized sunglasses and mask covering the entire face, then a familiar-looking purple hair, and finally, a warm family-style orange blouse, plaid skirt, and matching white apron.

He took off his glasses, wiped them, and put them back on, confirming more details: white stockings on the lower legs and a big butterfly ribbon on the head.

Gongson Ce rubbed his eyes vigorously.

“I…”

The purple-haired waiter spoke rapidly, “You’ve mistaken me for someone else, my name is Bismarck Abdullah Hassassin.”

Gongsun Ce nodded repeatedly, “Oh, oh.”

The Miss who entered later looked curiously at the speechless pair.

Gongsun Ce was silent for about a second and then said, “So…”

The purple-haired waiter loudly repeated.

“My name is Bismarck Abdullah Hassassin!”

“Oh, uh.” Gongsun Ce nodded blankly, “Oh.”
