Superhumans of the Dome City
Chapter 136 - 136 42 Wing of Death_3

136: Chapter 42 Wing of Death_3 136: Chapter 42 Wing of Death_3 “Boss, she has begun to harm herself, but the brothers in District Three have fallen as well.”

“Boss, many of the timid are trying to flee; the people here can last at most three more minutes…”

Gongsun Ce ignored the reports from his subordinates.

“Boss—”

“You can leave now.”

The reporting subordinate was stunned, replied in a low voice, and then quickly ran away, leaving only Gongsun Ce standing alone by the water.

The leader of the Wing of Death stared at his mechanized arm—such an expensive weapon, too valuable to be simply buried with him.

In about 30 seconds, the Lion would arrive.

He remembered the scenes after arriving in this city.

Initially oppressed, later discovering the use of his powers, but unable to utilize them alone…

Only three desperate children were willing to follow him at first, fighting with sticks in the Fierce Wing District, defeating the haughty rulers with their physical and mental prowess, inheriting his power at the cost of his destroyed face…

Putting on the skull mask…

Killing some, saving others, gaining a group of loyal followers…

Starting a business, controlling both wings, even the white coats needing to consult him on matters…

Then his real enemies came—Lion, Demon, and that damn superpower user.

He had never won, not even once.

Even his most loyal subordinates were afraid.

But Gongsun Ce was not afraid.

He pinned photos of his enemies in his room, reminding himself not to forget the failures.

He gathered all the intelligence, even the rumors that might not be true.

He swore to himself that one day he would avenge his past defeats with their blood and lives.

He blinked, and the past scattered like the wind.

In reality, there were no subordinates plotting revenge with him.

Those sent out had been defeated, the remaining had been dismissed, leaving only the man in the skull mask standing alone by the water, looking pitiful and laughable.

The sky was a deep red, as if welcoming the sunset early.

The Wing of Death swung down obliquely, its tip pointing directly at its own head.

A red light pierced through the pitch-black feathers, swiftly descending along the direction of the wing.

Gongsun Ce watched the flowing fire in the sky and murmured softly, “Red Lion—”

“—Firestar!!”

He could not see her figure, only her fury descending along with the meteor.

The star of fire streaked across the sky, falling to the ground, and the figure in black was engulfed by a sea of light and heat!

“Come back…!”

Firestar hit its target precisely; not a blade of grass grew around the reservoir, and the flames were retracted just before reaching the water, sparing the fish in the nick of time.

Kardesia walked painfully.

Her path was crooked, as if she might fall at any moment.

Her clothes were stained red with blood, her left hand clutching her throat, almost strangling herself.

The power of the Wing of Death was not yet lifted.

The skull mask flickered in the unquenched flames.

Kardesia walked forward in pain, a threatening fire sparking in the air.

“That’s enough, Skull Face,” her voice sounded as if squeezed from her throat, “otherwise, I really will end you.”

The skull in the flames remained silent.

Kardesia clenched her teeth and took another step forward, preparing to throw a fireball.

This step made her see more clearly: what burned in the flames was not flesh, but broken electronic devices; what she thought was part of the black clothing was actually a finely crafted black shell; only the two silver mechanized arms belonged to the real Gongsun Ce, and they were already mostly melted by her fire.

What she faced was yet another decoy.

Kardesia forgot to breathe for a moment.

It was impossible; the tip of the wing pointed exactly in Gongsun Ce’s direction, just as Gongsun Ce’s telekinesis was invisible, and her flames could not turn into water splashes; this was a rule the powers of Gongsun Ce had to obey.

She looked up to the dome.

The black wing she followed suddenly disappeared, and with it, the color of the sky changed to clear, as if a thin film enveloping the air was peeled off by an invisible hand.

The real sky appeared before the girl, the pitch-black wings as lifelike as before, the only difference being their orientation.

The tip of the black wing pointed to a district near the Fierce Wing, a direction completely opposite to this place.

“…!”

Kardesia’s left hand suddenly tightened its grip, and the flames beside the reservoir nearly went out at that moment.

The half-damaged decoy manipulated its mouthpiece, playing a recording from the real body.

“Lions are feared because they are fierce, cunning, and terrible.”

“But you, Kardesia, look at yourself now.”

The will to self-destruct completely took over her body.

Involuntarily, she stepped forward under Gongsun Ce’s hoarse voice, moving closer to the water’s edge.

Kardesia stood by the water, her reflection visible on the surface.

“Fragile, reckless, weak.

Forgotten your wild nature, lost your sharp claws and teeth, even lost your keen intuition.”

“A simple trick, and you couldn’t even see through that.”

To kill a lion, a grand stage is needed.

To drown a cat, a nondescript puddle is enough.

The power of the Wing of Death completely dominated her body.

Kardesia fell into the water, the flowing water entering her mouth and nose, preventing the girl from breathing.

She sank deeper into the water, her consciousness gradually fading.

Before sinking into the darkness, she heard her enemy’s final message, sounding strangely through the water.

“You are no longer the Red Lion.”

“Just a cat that can spit fire.”

The ripples on the water’s surface dispersed, and not a trace of flame remained on the shore.
