Super Template System In Marvel and Beyond -
Chapter 296: A New World
Chapter 296: A New World
Dave sat in his chair, studying the three videos—Tony, Bucky, and Steve—each displayed on a separate screen. All three looked worn, their faces edged with exhaustion as Steve pointed to a map, marking several red Xs over various past locations.
"We’ve destroyed over six secret bases," Steve said, his voice low and steady. "Still... we’ve never found him."
Seeing this, Dave shook his head and glanced over at his fifth template mission.
"I guess I should take them there... before their brains completely fry," he muttered, then looked toward Bucky. "Hm, maybe he’ll awaken something new too. He’s way too weak right now anyway," he thought to himself before finally reaching out to them.
"Hey, Tony," he called.
"What is it?" Tony replied, clearly not in a great mood.
"Got an Demon Contact ?" Dave asked casually.
Tony raised a brow at that—not because he doubted, but because he remembered all too well the last time Dave had dragged him into that pirate world and he ended up unlocking the Turbo Force.
"Wait... Is it another world or not?" he asked suspiciously.
Dave nodded. "Yes and not the same pirate world. This one’s different—you might unlock magic this time."
Tony squinted at him. "Magic, huh? Alright, fine. Let’s go then," he said, though not thrilled.
Dave smirked. "Steve, Bucky—coming along?"
Before either of them answered, Shuri’s voice came from the console nearby. "Can I join?."
Dave turned toward her. "Do you even know about my Demon Contracts?"
Shuri nodded with a slight smirk. "Yes. Tony was drunk and loud enough to tell us everything about the Demon Contract—and how you two ended up in another world."
Dave blinked once, then slowly turned his head toward Tony, who immediately coughed and looked away.
"I suppressed my Turbo Force so I could experience getting drunk again, okay?" Tony muttered defensively.
Dave shook his head, unimpressed. "Right... next time you get emotional, maybe don’t broadcast my entire classified skill set."
Then he glanced at his wrist and spoke aloud, "Call Bruce—or the big guy. Might think we ditched him."
But then—
[ Host, this mission can only be completed by you. Only you this time. ]
The system’s voice echoed calmly in his mind, the message ending with a digital thumbs-up.
Dave blinked. "Really?" he said, mostly to himself.
[Confirmed.]
"Well... plan’s canceled. Only I can go to this one," Dave sighed. ’Should’ve checked the system first before promising anything.’
"Well, you can’t back off now. Everyone’s here already," Tony said, gesturing toward Bruce, who had just walked in and waved at Dave with a smile.
Dave rubbed his temple and turned his attention to his system screen, scrolling through the invisible interface only he could see.
"What’s he doing?" Shuri asked Tony, glancing curiously.
"He’s reading his Demon Contract log. Only he can see it," Tony replied, echoing what Dave had told him before.
Bruce, standing nearby, raised an eyebrow. "By the way... what exactly is this Demon Contract?"
"It’s more like a job," Tony explained. "Dave accepts contracts from beings in other worlds. In return, he gets powers—usually something unique and over-the-top. All he has to do is complete their missions."
Steve nodded thoughtfully. "So... it’s kind of like a spy mission. But instead of another country, it’s an entirely different world."
"Exactly," Tony nodded. "Last time, we were pulled into a world by a man named Whitebeard. His real name was Edward Newgate. He wasn’t evil—just... powerful. In that world, the line between good and evil wasn’t clear. The so-called ’World Government’ was more corrupt than any dictatorship I’ve ever seen."
Tony’s voice darkened. "They treated people like slaves. Executed whoever they wanted. And our job? Tear it all down. You should’ve seen it. I’ve never witnessed rulers so disgustingly inhuman."
Steve sat forward. "So that’s where I got my Inferno Titan powers... and where Hawkeye unlocked that Lightning Beast—Raijū—form?"
Tony nodded again. "Exactly. Everything was real over there. The stakes. The power. The transformation."
Just then, the door slid open and Natasha entered alongside Clint.
"What are you two doing here?" Tony asked, a little surprised.
"My boyfriend told me about the Demon Contract stuff," Natasha said coolly. "I figured I’d at least come to join."
She leaned in and kissed Bruce on the cheek.
Tony raised an eyebrow and looked at Bruce, amused.
Bruce just smiled awkwardly and turned his head toward Natasha, returning the kiss—though with much less showmanship than Tony would’ve used.
A few minutes later, Hawkeye walked in too, casually waving at everyone.
"What are you doing here now?" Tony asked, raising an eyebrow.
"My bestie redhead called me," Clint replied with a grin, standing by the wall and popping some snacks into his mouth.
"Okay, I get it," Dave said, glancing at Natasha and Hawkeye. "Whatever."
"Now, come here and form a circle with me," he said, motioning for everyone to step closer.
Steve, Bucky, Natasha, Tony, Bruce, Shuri, and Hawkeye all gathered around him.
"Okay, just a small heads-up," Dave added. "When we get there, we’ll appear as 6-year-old kids. So if you see tiny hands, don’t panic."
They all stared at him for a moment—some blinking in disbelief, others nodding slowly.
Tony muttered under his breath, "Yeah, thanks for the warning. Kinda used to the weird by now."
The rest nodded as well, already half-expecting magic and chaos whenever Dave’s demon contracts were involved.
"Okay, system—do it," Dave said clearly.
The system responded with a chime.

As the energy swirled around them, they were engulfed in light. The world around twisted and bent, a ripple through space and time—and then, in a flash, they landed hard on grassy ground.
But something was... off.
Steve blinked, staring at his small hands. "Why are my gloves so big?"
Hawkeye looked down at himself, wide-eyed. "Whoa. We’re all... kids. We’re literal kids!"
